November – December 2026 · January – March 2027

2-in-1 full-service from Milan for €710 on Air Canada with 23 kg check-in baggage included — winter city culture and Caribbean turquoise on one ticket, not two separate long-haul bookings. Dino’s exciting sample shape: 3 nights in Montreal for Old Montreal cobblestones, Mount Royal views, bagels, jazz bars, and proper Canadian winter atmosphere — then 8 nights in Nassau, your gateway to the Bahamas: powder-soft sand, swimming pigs, reef snorkelling, and island-hopping without another transatlantic fare.

From Milan (MXP/LIN), Dino found this from €710 with a quick stop in Frankfurt (FRA) on the outbound — tidy hub time, not a messy marathon. Prefer a nonstop into Canada? Some dates sit around €726 with a direct flight to Montreal. The same routing also showed from other Italian airports — Bologna, Florence, Venice, and Rome from €687 — though expect an extra stop and longer connection times versus Milan. Travel November and December 2026, plus January through March 2027; confirm multi-city airports, minimum stays, Canada eTA, and Bahamas entry rules before you pay.

Dino Score 9.0 out of 10

Excellent 2-in-1 value combining Montreal and the Bahamas, with checked baggage, strong availability and a direct Milan–Montreal option.

Dino Verdict

A genuinely attractive 2-in-1 trip to Montreal and the Bahamas

This is an excellent multicity itinerary combining Montreal and Nassau from around €710–€725, with checked baggage included. For only a little more than a basic return ticket to the Bahamas, travellers can add a proper Canadian city break without arranging separate long-haul flights.

The strongest option is the itinerary departing from Milan Malpensa for around €725. It includes a direct Milan to Montreal flight, followed by a direct Montreal to Nassau sector. The return from Nassau to Milan has only one connection in Montreal.

The suggested split gives travellers approximately 3 nights in Montreal and 8 nights in Nassau. That is enough time to enjoy a short city break in Canada before continuing to the beaches and warmer weather of the Bahamas.

Availability is also strong, with multiple combinations found from November 2026 through March 2027. Cheaper departures were also found from Venice, Bologna, Florence and Rome, although those options generally involve additional stops or longer journey times.

Price 9.2/10

Around €710–€725 with checked baggage included is excellent value for a multicity itinerary covering Canada and the Bahamas.

Airline 8.4/10

Air Canada and SWISS offer a full-service itinerary on one network, which is much cleaner than combining separate low-cost tickets.

Availability 9.4/10

Numerous combinations are available across several months, including November, December, January, February and March.

Comfort 8.8/10

The best Milan option has a direct flight to Montreal, a direct onward flight to Nassau and only one connection on the return.

Choose the routing carefully

Some cheaper options from Milan and other Italian airports include extra stops in Frankfurt or Toronto and can be considerably longer. The direct Milan–Montreal option for around €725 is the best balance of price, baggage and comfort.

Montreal can be extremely cold in January and February. Travellers who prefer milder sightseeing conditions should prioritise the November, early December or March combinations.

Recommended itinerary: direct Milan to Montreal, direct Montreal to Nassau, then Nassau to Milan with one protected connection in Montreal.

Best for: travellers who enjoy combining a city break with a beach holiday, couples, winter-sun seekers, multicity fans and travellers who need checked baggage.

Less ideal for: travellers who dislike cold-weather city breaks or those choosing the cheapest options with two stops and very long journey times.

Where to stay: central Montreal

For the Montreal part of this 2-in-1 trip, very well-rated and centrally located accommodation can be found from around €100 per night. That works out at approximately €50 per person per night when travelling as a couple.

For a short stay, areas such as Downtown Montreal, Old Montreal and locations close to a Metro station are usually the most practical. They make it easier to explore the city during a brief three-night stop without spending too much time travelling between attractions.

Where to stay in the Bahamas: Nassau or another island?

Accommodation in Nassau is generally expensive. For a decent hotel or apartment, travellers should expect to pay from around €200 per night, with many beachfront resorts and larger hotels costing considerably more.

Nassau is the easiest place to begin the trip because it has the international airport, plenty of restaurants, major resorts, organised excursions and convenient transport options. However, it is also the busiest and most developed part of the Bahamas.

Dino’s recommendation is to spend only 1–2 nights in Nassau, then continue to one of the more naturally beautiful islands if the budget and transport connections allow.

Consider Exuma for turquoise water, secluded beaches and boat trips between small cays. Eleuthera or Harbour Island can be better for quieter beaches, pink sand and a slower island atmosphere. These islands usually provide the more peaceful and scenic Bahamas experience many travellers imagine.

Keeping Nassau as your base for the full holiday makes more sense for travellers who prioritise large resorts, casinos, nightlife, shopping, easy day trips and minimal transport planning. Travellers looking for quiet beaches, fewer crowds and a stronger nature experience should split the trip and stay elsewhere for most of the holiday.

Dino tip: domestic flights and ferries between the islands can add significantly to the final cost. Before booking accommodation, compare the transfer price, departure times, baggage allowance and whether an overnight stay in Nassau is required before the return flight to Europe.

Search and compare hotels in the Bahamas →

Sample Montreal prices were checked for 13–16 November for two adults. Accommodation prices and availability can change quickly. Always check the final total, taxes, resort fees, location, reviews, cancellation policy, inter-island transport costs and baggage conditions before booking.
