About this deal
This is the kind of multi-city fare I like because the extra destination is genuinely useful rather than being a forced airport marathon.
For the reference itinerary you fly Lyon → Montréal direct, spend 3 nights in Montréal,
continue Montréal → Nassau direct, spend 10 nights in the Bahamas,
then return Nassau → Montréal → Lyon on one protected Air Canada itinerary.
The reference fare is €725 and includes a 23 kg checked bag.
A straightforward Lyon–Montréal return can sit around the €600 mark, so the attraction here is that
you are effectively adding a proper Bahamas holiday for only a relatively small premium.
The compromise is the booking method: the lowest fare is available through Mytrip via Skyscanner Malta,
rather than directly with Air Canada. That matters more on a multi-sector ticket, which is why the booking score is lower.
Montréal stay: 3 nights
Nassau stay: 10 nights
Checked baggage: 23 kg included
Airline: Air Canada throughout
Booking: Mytrip via Skyscanner Malta
Reference flight schedule
Air Canada AC877 · Direct · 8h25
Lyon 13:40 → Montréal 16:05
An excellent first sector: a direct daytime flight that gets you into Montréal with the evening still available.
Air Canada AC1448 · Direct · 4h00
Montréal 09:15 → Nassau 13:15
After three nights in Montréal, swap Canadian winter for the Bahamas with a direct four-hour flight.
Air Canada AC1449 + AC876 · 1 stop · 15h total
Nassau 14:05 → Montréal 17:50
3h40 connection at YUL
Montréal 21:30 → Lyon 11:05+1
This is the weakest part of the itinerary: the connection is perfectly manageable, but it makes the journey home considerably longer than the two outbound sectors.

Three nights in Canada, ten nights in the Bahamas, then one-stop home via Montréal.

Lyon

The three-night Montréal stop is long enough to make the city worthwhile rather than treating it as a connection.
Fare proof
The lowest fare is OTA-only. Check the final total, baggage, passenger names and ticket conditions carefully before paying.
Why this routing works
Montréal gets three full nights, while Nassau gets ten nights. The first two flights are both direct, and Air Canada operates every sector. That makes the itinerary much easier to understand and much more useful than many multi-city fares.
The €725 fare is booked through Mytrip via Skyscanner Malta, not directly with Air Canada. On a multi-sector itinerary, schedule changes can be more cumbersome when an online travel agency sits between you and the airline. That is the main reason this otherwise excellent fare scores 8.7 rather than 9+.

Check the €725 fare →Because this is a multi-sector ticket and the lowest fare is not sold directly by Air Canada, take screenshots of the itinerary, baggage allowance and final conditions before paying. After purchase, verify that all three flight components appear correctly on the issued ticket.
Recheck the reference fare →Every combination below keeps the same useful structure: 3 nights in Montréal + 10 nights in Nassau. Prices can move quickly, so always recheck the live fare and baggage before booking.
Excellent 2-in-1 value. Two genuinely useful destinations, direct flying on the first two sectors, Air Canada throughout and a 23 kg checked bag included. The OTA-only booking method and the 15-hour journey home are what keep it below 9.

Dino hotel guide · Montréal + Bahamas
The reference Air Canada itinerary gives you 28–31 January 2027 in Montréal and 31 January–10 February 2027 in The Bahamas. Montréal is easy: three nights is a very good first taste of the city. Nassau is different — you have ten nights, and I would not automatically spend all ten in the capital unless your plan is specifically a resort holiday.
Montréal · where to stay for 3 nights
You land at 16:05 on 28 January and leave for Nassau at 09:15 on 31 January. That gives you three hotel nights and roughly two full sightseeing days. Montréal is very manageable in 72 hours, but this is deep winter — so I would stay somewhere central with fast métro access rather than choosing a cheaper room that forces long outdoor journeys.
Look around Downtown, Square Victoria, Place d'Armes or the edge of Old Montréal. You get easy access to the historic centre without making every journey dependent on a long outdoor walk in late-January weather.
Montréal · practical precautions
Nassau · should you really stay all 10 nights?
You arrive in Nassau at 13:15 on 31 January and leave on 10 February at 14:05.
That gives you ten hotel nights.
If your goal is a beach resort, all-inclusive stay or simply doing very little, keeping all ten nights in Nassau / Paradise Island is perfectly reasonable.
But if you want to see more of The Bahamas, I would usually spend only 3–4 nights in Nassau
and use the remaining time for another island.
Where to go after Nassau
31 Jan–4 Feb: Nassau / Cable Beach or Paradise Island
4–9 Feb: Exuma, Eleuthera or Harbour Island
9–10 Feb: final night back in Nassau
That final Nassau night protects you from turning a delayed domestic flight or ferry into a missed long-haul ticket home.
Bahamas · precautions and things I would watch
Do not read this section as “avoid Nassau”. Nassau and Paradise Island receive large numbers of visitors. The point is simply to use sensible precautions, particularly after dark and away from the main tourist zones, rather than treating a beach destination as automatically risk-free.
The Dino hotel method · Booking.com + Karma
I like Booking.com for filtering hotels, comparing locations and reading room details. But I do not automatically assume the Booking.com price is the cheapest available. Keep Karma active while you browse and let it check whether the same property appears for less elsewhere.
Add the browser extension before starting your hotel search.
Use the exact destination, dates and guest count. Find the property you genuinely want first.
If Karma surfaces the same hotel cheaper on another portal or direct with the hotel, open the offer through Karma.
Same room, dates, guests, breakfast / board basis, taxes, cancellation, payment terms and included extras.
Do one final comparison on Trivago before paying. Do not waste an hour chasing a £3 difference.
The cheapest headline is irrelevant if it removes breakfast, flexibility, taxes or the room type you actually wanted.
GetYourGuide · Montréal
With only three hotel nights, GetYourGuide is most useful for one focused activity: Old Montréal walking tours, food tours, winter city experiences, observation attractions or guided neighbourhood tours. I would not overbook the stopover — leave time to eat and explore independently.
GetYourGuide · Nassau & Bahamas
Use the live panel for current boat trips, snorkelling, Exuma day tours, food tours, transfers and Nassau / Paradise Island experiences. If you are staying ten nights in one resort, adding one or two well-chosen excursions will stop the trip feeling repetitive.
