About this deal
This is a proper 2-in-1 Asia trip, not just a cheap ticket to Bangkok. The reference itinerary is 03 December – 07 December – 16 December 2026: fly Brussels to Beijing, spend four nights in China, continue nonstop to Bangkok, then return to Brussels via Beijing.
The headline fare is €432 with Kissandfly via Skyscanner, and the fare shown includes 23kg checked baggage. All published date combinations use the same flight pattern and schedule.
The price is fantastic. The schedule is the compromise: Beijing arrival is very early at 04:40, and the journey home includes a 4h20 late-evening connection in Beijing before the 02:25 flight to Brussels. That is why this sits in the upper 8s rather than the 9s.
Airline: Hainan Airlines
Trip: Brussels → Beijing → Bangkok → Brussels
Checked baggage: 23kg included
Beijing stop: 4 nights
Bangkok stay: 9 nights on reference trip
Reference flight schedule
Hainan Airlines HU492 · nonstop
Brussels 12:20 → Beijing Capital 04:40+1
Journey time: 9h20
Nonstop is excellent, but the 04:40 arrival is very early. You get roughly four nights in Beijing before continuing to Thailand.
Hainan Airlines HU429 · nonstop
Beijing Capital 10:00 → Bangkok Suvarnabhumi 14:20
Journey time: 5h20
This is the cleanest part of the itinerary: a sensible morning departure and afternoon arrival in Bangkok.
Hainan Airlines HU430 + HU491
Bangkok 16:20 → Beijing 22:05
4h20 connection in PEK
Beijing 02:25+1 → Brussels 05:45
Total journey time: 19h25
This is the weak point. The connection is safe and on one itinerary, but a 4h20 late-night wait followed by a 02:25 departure is not especially pleasant.
Baggage + trip details
For €432 including 23kg baggage, you are not simply flying Belgium to Thailand. You are getting a proper Beijing city break on the way, followed by Bangkok, then returning to Brussels on the same ticket.
Schedule warning: the outbound Beijing arrival is 04:40 and the return journey includes a 4h20 connection before a 02:25 departure. The fare is excellent, but the timings are the reason I would not score this above the high 8s.

This is the fare used for the deal and the price shown in the fare proof. The itinerary includes 23kg checked baggage and combines Beijing and Bangkok on one multi-city booking.
Check the reference fare →Make sure the final screen still shows 23kg checked baggage and the same Hainan Airlines sectors. Multi-city fares can reprice quickly, especially when one segment changes availability.
Recheck on Skyscanner →The value here comes from using the Beijing stop as a real city break. The reference gives you roughly four nights in Beijing before the nonstop continuation to Bangkok. Check Chinese entry and transit requirements for your passport before paying.
Check the reference itinerary →All of these use the same flight pattern and schedule shown above. The three dates are Brussels departure → Beijing to Bangkok → Bangkok departure home.
Fantastic 2-in-1 value, with a schedule that is only so-so. €432 including 23kg checked baggage for Brussels → Beijing → Bangkok → Brussels is extremely hard to argue with. The early Beijing arrival and late-night return connection are what keep it below 9/10.

Beijing + Bangkok hotel playbook
This itinerary gives you a few nights in Beijing before continuing to Bangkok, and some of the longer date combinations leave enough time to go beyond Bangkok too. I would keep Beijing compact, then use Thailand as the slower half of the trip.
Start with Booking.com, keep Karma switched on, and always compare the final total before paying — same room, same dates, same guests and the same cancellation terms.
💰 Dino hotel booking method
Choose the area first, then shortlist hotels with strong recent reviews and practical transport.
Let Karma check whether the same room appears cheaper elsewhere while you browse.
If Karma finds nothing useful, make one final like-for-like comparison before paying.
🏯 Beijing — where I would stay
My default for a first visit: convenient for the Forbidden City, Tiananmen area, hutongs and several central sights.
Central and easy for first-timers, with plenty of hotels and straightforward access to major sights.
Better for restaurants, nightlife and a more modern Beijing feel, but less ideal if sightseeing is the priority.
In Beijing, being close to the metro matters more than shaving a few euros off a hotel far from everything.
🔔 Beijing precautions & practical warnings
Some familiar Western apps and services may not work normally. Sort out maps, translation, payments and connectivity before arrival.
Have more than one payment method ready. Do not assume every small business will work exactly like Europe.
If you are sensitive to pollution, check conditions during your stay and keep outdoor plans flexible.
Use official ticket desks and reputable tours for major sights rather than following strangers offering special access or “tea” experiences.
🌴 Bangkok — where I would stay
Easy BTS access, huge hotel choice, restaurants and nightlife. Probably the simplest all-round base.
More atmospheric and often more relaxing, especially if you want river views and a slower hotel experience.
Good transport, food and a more mixed local/business feel while still staying central.
Great for temples and historic sights, but less convenient if you plan to use BTS constantly.
🔔 Bangkok precautions & common tourist traps
Use extra care crossing roads, and think twice before renting a scooter unless you are properly licensed, insured and experienced.
If a stranger says a major attraction is closed and offers an alternative tuk-tuk tour, verify it yourself before going anywhere.
Bangkok can feel brutally hot and humid. Carry water, slow down at midday and do not underestimate the sun.
Use repellent, especially around dusk and in greener areas. This matters even more if you continue to islands or rural Thailand.
🚀 Longer trip? Where to go after Bangkok
Chiang MaiBest for temples, food, markets and a slower northern Thailand atmosphere. Easy by flight or overnight train.
KrabiMy pick if you want dramatic limestone scenery, beaches and easy island day trips.
PhuketVery easy logistically with plenty of flights, hotels and beach choices — but choose the area carefully.
Koh SamuiGood for a more resort-style finish if the weather works for your travel month.
Siem Reap, CambodiaExcellent 3–4 night side trip for Angkor Wat and one of the easiest international add-ons from Bangkok.
Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaCheap flights, excellent food and easy hotels make it a very simple extra city stop.
SingaporeMore expensive, but extremely easy for 2–3 nights and a complete contrast to Bangkok.
Great Wall trips, Forbidden City tours, Temple of Heaven and food experiences — useful when your Beijing stop is short and you want to make the time count.
Temple tours, street-food experiences, river cruises, markets and day trips — Bangkok is one of those cities where a good guided experience can save a lot of wasted time.
A few useful extras that can make the journey easier, particularly when travelling with restrictive cabin-bag fares, arriving late or needing mobile data as soon as you land.
A useful packing solution when you are trying to fit more clothing
into a restricted cabin bag.
Particularly relevant for travellers using airlines such as
Ryanair and Wizz Air, where baggage dimensions and
additional luggage fees can significantly change the final cost of a
cheap flight.
Compress your clothing and make better use of the space available
inside your luggage.

card or relying on airport Wi-Fi.

Particularly useful for
late-night arrivals, families and travellers with luggage
