November and early December are a good time to visit Phuket, offering a better overall weather window than the summer months, while still avoiding the very highest peak-season pricing.
There also appears to be broader availability in July, August and September at a similar price level for travellers who need more flexibility.
This is not just about the headline price.
What makes the fare attractive is the combination of
Etihad business class, a
single connection in Abu Dhabi,
good travel months for Phuket and the possibility to
book directly with the airline at a still-reasonable premium over the
cheapest OTA price.
The direct Etihad fare from around €1,783 is the
Business Value ticket.
It includes the business-class seat and 35 kg checked baggage,
but does not include lounge access.
If lounge access matters to you, the most sensible option is usually
to book directly on the Etihad website and upgrade to
Business Comfort, which was found at around
€2,006.
Best for: travellers who want a clean, full-service business-class trip to Phuket during a favourable travel period.
Less ideal for: travellers looking only for the absolute cheapest possible premium-cabin fare regardless of season or airline.
Dino’s advice: if the difference between the lowest OTA fare and the Etihad direct fare remains modest, I would strongly consider booking with the airline directly, especially if you may want to add lounge access through the Business Comfort option.

Where to stay in Phuket: great value if you choose the right area
One of the best things about Phuket is that accommodation can still be very affordable, especially compared with many other long-haul beach destinations.
For our sample search from 11 November to 20 November, simple guesthouses with good reviews were available from as little as €40 per night. When travelling as a couple, that works out at only around €20 per person per night.
This is exactly why a trip like this can make sense: even if the business-class flight is the luxury part of the holiday, Phuket still gives you the chance to keep accommodation costs low and leave more budget for food, island-hopping, beach clubs, massages, boat trips and excursions.
If you prefer something more comfortable, higher-end 4 and 5-star hotels were also available from around €60 per night, which is still very reasonable for a tropical island destination.
Personally, I would not choose the cheapest place blindly. Location matters a lot in Phuket. I would generally avoid staying right in the middle of the main party areas such as Patong, unless nightlife is the main reason for your trip.
For a more relaxed holiday, it is worth comparing areas such as Kata, Karon, Kamala, Bang Tao, Surin or Rawai. These areas can offer a better balance of beach access, restaurants, comfort and atmosphere without being as intense as Patong.
Dino tip: do not look only at the hotel rating. Check recent reviews, exact location, distance from the beach, transport options and whether the area matches the type of trip you want. Phuket is large, and staying in the wrong area can change the whole feeling of the holiday.
