Manila
from $960 return
About this deal
I found nonstop Oman Air Business Class from Muscat to Manila from about $960 return,
with a surprisingly large number of dates from October 2026 through June 2027.
My reference trip is 18–27 February 2027. Booking.com was showing
$959.94 return when checked, including 2 cabin bags and 40 kg checked baggage.
I deliberately chose Booking.com from the OTA options I found because it is the vendor I am more comfortable
directing readers to. Other OTAs were also selling the same flights at a similar price level, so this is not a one-off price from
a single obscure seller.
There is still an important catch: the Booking.com flight page says the itinerary is
powered by Gotogate and that it combines separate one-way tickets, each with its own rules for changes and cancellations.
I would read those conditions carefully before paying.
Oman Air itself was much more expensive when checked at around OMR 499, roughly $1,300.
That large direct-airline premium is why the OTA fare is interesting, but it is also why I would be more cautious than usual.

Fare and booking details
I found several OTA options around $960–975 return. I chose Booking.com because it is the vendor
I am more comfortable directing readers to, rather than simply picking whichever seller was a few dollars cheaper.
That said, the Booking.com page states that the flights are powered by Gotogate.
That is important information and I would factor it into the decision.
Booking.com says this trip combines separate one-way tickets, each with its own change and cancellation rules. I would read the final fare conditions carefully before paying and make sure the itinerary and baggage are still exactly as shown.
Oman Air itself was around OMR 499 when checked — roughly $1,300. That is more than $300 above the OTA fare. The saving is real, but so is the trade-off in after-sales simplicity.
Booking options
This is the seller I deliberately selected from the similar-priced OTA options. It gives the strongest balance for the page between price and a booking brand readers will recognise.
Check the reference fare →Roughly $1,300 when checked. Booking direct is simpler if something changes, but the premium over the OTA price is substantial.
Prices were generally around $960–975 return. The links below go to the prepared Booking.com searches.
Nonstop Business Class, excellent baggage and unusually broad availability make this a very strong fare. The only reason I am not scoring it even higher is the booking structure: the cheapest level is through an OTA, Booking.com says the flights are powered by Gotogate, and the itinerary combines separate one-way tickets.

Manila hotel guide
The reference trip arrives in Manila on 18 February 2027 and flies home on 27 February, giving you 9 hotel nights. I would not spend all nine in Manila. My preference would be to use the city for a few nights, add another part of the Philippines, then return to Manila before the early flight home.
I would lock in a good free-cancellation hotel in Manila, keep Karma active, and only then decide how many nights to use elsewhere. The final night is especially important because the return flight leaves at 07:15.
💰 Dino hotel booking method
Manila is huge and traffic can be slow, so I would choose the neighbourhood before comparing individual hotels.
Once you find a hotel you like, let Karma check whether another seller has the same room for less. Keep cancellation and breakfast conditions in view.
Compare the final total once more before paying. For a multi-stop Philippines trip I would normally prefer flexible rates over saving a small amount on a restrictive room.
⏳ How many nights would I stay in Manila?
Enough if Manila is mainly your gateway and you want to spend most of the trip somewhere else.
Enough time for Intramuros, Binondo, Makati or BGC without trying to squeeze everything into one day.
With this much time, I would definitely add another Philippine destination rather than stay in Metro Manila throughout.
Because the flight home leaves at 07:15, I would stay back in Manila the night before and keep the last morning easy.
📍 Best areas to stay in Manila
My easiest all-round choice for many travellers: lots of hotels, restaurants, shopping and a central business-district feel.
Modern, polished and easy for restaurants and evenings out. Usually pricier than some other parts of Metro Manila.
Better if historic Manila is the priority and you want to be closer to the old city, Rizal Park and major sights.
The practical option for the final night before an early flight, especially if you want to minimise airport-transfer stress.
🌎 What I would do with the other nights
A strong choice if you want beaches and island scenery. I would give it several nights rather than trying to squeeze it into a short side trip.
Easy to combine with Manila and useful if you want a mix of city, beaches and nearby island options.
Good if you want a slower island stay with beaches and inland sightseeing without making the itinerary too complicated.
If you do not want another flight, you can use Manila as the gateway for a road trip or a shorter stay elsewhere on Luzon.
⚠️ Manila practical survival kit
Manila distances can look short on a map but take much longer in traffic, so location matters more than it first appears.
Check the departure terminal before the final night and leave a sensible buffer for the airport transfer.
Manila has everything from inexpensive local food to high-end restaurants, so I would not automatically pay a large hotel breakfast supplement.
Compared with many major Asian capitals, comfortable hotels can still be reasonably priced if you compare neighbourhoods carefully.
Manila is easy to explore independently, but food tours, historic walks and organised day trips can be useful if you want more context or do not want to organise transport yourself.
A few useful extras chosen with premium-cabin travellers in mind — from quality carry-on luggage and reliable mobile data to travel rewards that can add extra value before, during and after the flight.
A much better fit for premium-cabin travel: sleek hard-shell luggage
designed for frequent flyers, short business trips and smooth airport
handling.
LEVEL8 offers business carry-ons with features such as
