Montreal
from €1,247 return
About this deal
This is a very strong nonstop Business Class fare from Tunis to Montreal with Tunisair, with several September and October 2026 combinations available.
The cheapest fares I found were around €1,247–€1,275 return via Lastminute through Skyscanner Ireland, while booking the same trip directly with Tunisair was €1,351.35 return.
The direct Tunisair Comfort fare is particularly attractive because it includes 10 kg hand baggage, 3 × 23 kg checked baggage, meals, free seat selection, lounge access if available and Fast Track if available.
There is one important product warning: Tunisair's A330 Business Class uses an older 2-2-2 configuration. Skyscanner was displaying this as 1-2-1 with full aisle access, which does not match the actual Tunisair A330 cabin. The other weakness is the recurring 04:10 arrival back into Tunis.
Tunisair direct: €1,351.35 return
Airline: Tunisair
Routing: Direct both ways
Cabin: A330 Business Class · 2-2-2
Checked baggage: 3 × 23 kg included

Reference flight schedule
Tunisair TU202 · Direct · Airbus A330 · Business Class
Tunis Carthage 09:00 → Montreal Trudeau 12:55
Journey time is around 8h55. The daytime departure and lunchtime arrival are both very practical, and you avoid losing time to a European or Gulf connection.
Tunisair TU203 · Direct · Airbus A330 · Business Class
Montreal Trudeau 14:55 → Tunis Carthage 04:10+1
Journey time is around 8h15. The Montreal departure is convenient, but the 04:10 arrival into Tunis is the main schedule weakness and applies to the date combinations I found.

Tunisair priced the reference itinerary at €1,351.35 return. The direct booking also clearly confirms the generous Comfort fare inclusions, including 3 × 23 kg checked baggage.

Why this fare works + important details
The value here comes from the combination of very low Business Class pricing, nonstop routing and an exceptional baggage allowance. Even the €1,351.35 direct Tunisair fare is compelling for a round-trip transatlantic Business Class ticket, especially when it includes 3 × 23 kg checked baggage.
1. Seat configuration: Tunisair's A330 Business Class uses an older 2-2-2 configuration. Window passengers do not have direct aisle access.
2. Skyscanner aircraft information: Skyscanner was displaying 1-2-1, full-flat and full aisle access for the reference flight. Based on the actual Tunisair A330 cabin, I would not rely on that description.
3. Return schedule: the Montreal departure at 14:55 is convenient, but the flight lands in Tunis at 04:10 the following morning.
4. OTA vs airline: Lastminute is around €76–€104 cheaper depending on the date checked, but on a long-haul Business Class ticket I would personally consider paying the small premium to book directly with Tunisair.
5. Aircraft changes: always check the aircraft and seat map again before payment because airlines can change equipment.

Booking options
This is the cheapest way I found to access the fare. The reference 12–21 September itinerary was approximately €1,247 return. Prices vary slightly across the available dates, so re-check the final seller and total before payment.
Check cheapest reference →The direct airline price is only around €76–€104 more than the Lastminute fares found. On a long-haul Business Class ticket at this price level, I would personally consider the extra cost worthwhile for the simpler airline-direct booking relationship.
Check Tunisair direct →Several September and October 2026 combinations were found, generally pricing around €1,247–€1,275 through Lastminute. The flights follow broadly the same direct schedule pattern, including the weak 04:10 return arrival into Tunis.
The price and nonstop routing are excellent, but the hard product and schedule keep this in Very Good Deal territory rather than pushing it into the high 8s or 9s. The biggest compromises are the older 2-2-2 A330 Business Class configuration and the recurring 04:10 arrival into Tunis. On the positive side, the direct fare is only modestly above the OTA price and the 3 × 23 kg checked baggage allowance is outstanding.

The Tunisair fares give you enough time to do much more than a rushed weekend in Montreal. For the reference 12–21 September itinerary you have 9 hotel nights in Canada. Montreal deserves several days, but with this amount of time I would seriously consider combining it with Quebec City or another part of Quebec rather than spending every night in one place.
For a first visit,
Downtown Montreal
is probably the easiest overall choice.
You have excellent metro connections,
restaurants,
shopping
and straightforward access to both
Old Montreal
and neighbourhoods further north.
If atmosphere matters more than pure convenience,
Old Montreal
is the most attractive option,
while
Plateau Mont-Royal / Mile End
is where I would look for a more local experience built around cafés,
restaurants
and neighbourhood life.
Use the remaining nights to explore more of Quebec
- Downtown is the easiest first-time base.
- Choose Old Montreal for historic atmosphere.
- Choose Plateau / Mile End for food, cafés and a more local feel.
- Prioritise a hotel near a Metro station.
- For a 9-night trip, I would not necessarily spend all 9 nights in Montreal.
How long should you stay in Montreal?
Montreal is a city that rewards a slower pace.
You can see the obvious highlights in two days,
but
3–4 nights
gives you enough time to explore
Old Montreal,
Downtown,
Mount Royal
and at least one neighbourhood such as
Plateau or Mile End
without turning the trip into a checklist.
If you particularly enjoy food,
museums,
neighbourhood exploration
or nightlife,
you could easily justify
5 nights.
But on the longer Tunisair itineraries,
I think part of the attraction is having enough time to see
more of Quebec.
Staying safe in Montreal
Montreal is generally an easy city for visitors,
and most tourist areas are straightforward to explore.
The usual big-city precautions still apply.
Keep valuables secure in crowded areas,
do not leave phones,
wallets
or bags unattended,
and use more caution late at night in quiet streets or around transport hubs.
If you are using public transport late,
stay aware of your surroundings
and avoid empty train cars or isolated stations where possible.
For taxis or ride-hailing,
always confirm that the vehicle and driver match your booking before getting in.
Montreal airport + getting around
The Tunisair flight arrives at
Montréal–Trudeau Airport (YUL).
For a straightforward city stay,
I would normally choose accommodation around
Downtown,
Old Montreal
or near a Metro station
and use public transport rather than renting a car.
Montreal's Metro covers most areas visitors are likely to use,
and many central neighbourhoods are also very walkable.
A car becomes more useful if you are planning to continue into rural Quebec,
the Laurentians
or the Eastern Townships.
If you are continuing to
Quebec City,
train or intercity bus can be much easier than renting a car purely for the journey between the two cities.
Where to go next from Montreal
The most natural addition to Montreal is
Quebec City.
It gives you a completely different atmosphere,
with the historic centre,
fortifications
and a much smaller-city feel.
For the reference 9-night trip,
I would happily allocate
2–3 nights
to Quebec City.
If nature appeals more than a second city,
the
Laurentians
or
Eastern Townships
are also interesting,
especially during the autumn period.
Dino 9-night idea: Montreal 4 nights → Quebec City 3 nights → Montreal 2 final nights. That keeps the itinerary simple and means you are already back in Montreal well before the flight home.

Montreal tours & activities
Compare Montreal food tours, Old Montreal walks, river experiences, day trips, Quebec excursions and other activities below. For a city like Montreal, I would avoid over-planning every day: one or two organised experiences combined with plenty of free neighbourhood time usually makes for a better trip.
For most first-time visitors, I would start with Downtown Montreal and then compare similarly priced properties in Old Montreal, Golden Square Mile and Plateau / Mile End. Do not look at price alone: a hotel within easy walking distance of a Metro station can be much more practical than a slightly cheaper property in an awkward location.
