Manila
from $899 / €781 return
About this deal
This is a seriously strong Business Class fare from Doha to Manila with Gulf Air, connecting once in Bahrain.
The reference trip is 28 September – 12 October 2026, with Mytrip via Skyscanner showing the fare at
€781 / about $899 / QAR 3,270 return.
The headline product is much better than the raw 2-2-2 label suggests. Gulf Air's 787 Business Class
uses a staggered layout with full-flat beds and direct aisle access for every seat. The short Doha–Bahrain sectors are
on A320-family aircraft with cradle recliners, but they are only around 55 minutes each way.
The fare also includes 40 kg checked baggage. The main catch is the 45-minute connection in Bahrain on the outbound:
it is a protected Gulf Air through-ticket, but it leaves limited margin if the Doha flight is delayed. The return has a safer but longer
4h20 connection.
I found five date combinations with sensible arrival times back into Doha. There are other cheap dates too, but several return to Doha in the
middle of the night, so I have deliberately left those out of the prepared list.

Business Class product: why the 2-2-2 is better than it looks
At €781 / about $899 return, most of the flying time is spent in Gulf Air's proper 787 full-flat Business Class cabin. The short A320 hops barely change the overall experience.
The outbound connection is only 45 minutes. It is sold as a Gulf Air through-ticket, so the connection is protected, but there is very little buffer if DOH–BAH is delayed. If a tight connection makes you uncomfortable, this may not be the right itinerary.
Philippine Airlines and Qatar Airways also sell direct Business Class flights between Doha and Manila. On the dates checked, those direct options were reasonably priced from around $1,400 return. They cost substantially more than this Gulf Air deal, but may be more appealing if saving several hours matters more than getting the lowest fare.
Booking options
This is the headline fare. The price range I found was roughly $899–$935 return, with payment available in euro through Mytrip. Check the seller's change and cancellation conditions carefully before paying.
Check the €781 reference fare →Skyscanner also showed Gulf Air itself on the reference trip at about €88 more than Mytrip. This lets you compare the cheaper OTA fare with the airline option from the same Skyscanner results page.
Compare Mytrip & Gulf Air on Skyscanner →Reconfirm that the long Bahrain–Manila sectors still show the 787 full-flat Business Class product, that your fare includes 40 kg checked baggage, and that the itinerary remains on one Gulf Air ticket. The reference outbound has only a 45-minute Bahrain connection, so that detail matters.
Recheck the reference dates →These are the combinations I would actually recommend because they avoid returning to Doha in the middle of the night. Other cheap dates exist, but I have intentionally left the uglier schedules out. The Mytrip fares checked were roughly $899–$935 return. Prices are live and can move at any time.
Exceptional price, 40 kg baggage and a genuinely good 787 Business Class seat. The 45-minute outbound connection and the 4h20 return wait are the main compromises, but at €781 / $899 this is a lot of premium travel for the money.

Manila hotel playbook
The reference itinerary gives you 13 hotel nights in the Philippines, but I would not spend all of them in Manila. For most first-time visitors, 2–3 nights in Manila is enough before continuing to an island or another part of the country. Start with the right area, compare the final price, then let Karma check whether the same stay is available for less elsewhere.
Manila often has excellent-value 4- and 5-star hotels. Check the same room with Karma switched on before paying, but compare the exact same room, meal plan, cancellation terms and final taxes.
💰 Dino hotel booking method
Manila traffic can be brutal. Pick the area that matches what you actually want to do before chasing the cheapest room.
Leave Karma active while browsing Booking.com so it can compare the same stay with other booking sites in the background.
If Karma finds nothing useful, do one final like-for-like comparison before paying.
⏳ How many nights in Manila?
Fine for an airport stop, but too short if you actually want to see the city.
Enough for a compact visit covering Intramuros, a good food stop and one modern district.
A better balance if you want history, modern Manila and some breathing room around the traffic.
Best if Manila is a major part of the trip or you are adding day trips. Otherwise I would start exploring the islands.
📍 Best areas to stay in Manila
My easiest all-round choice for many visitors: good hotels, restaurants, malls and a more polished city experience.
Modern, walkable by Manila standards and packed with restaurants and newer hotels. Great if you prefer contemporary Manila.
Convenient for the airport and useful for an early flight or short stop, with large hotels and entertainment nearby.
Better positioned for Intramuros and historic Manila. Hotel quality varies more here, so recent reviews matter.
🚀 Where to go next — make the 13 nights count
Cebu
Easy domestic flights, good food and a useful gateway for beaches, diving and nearby islands.
Palawan
El Nido or Coron are the obvious picks if dramatic limestone scenery, lagoons and island hopping are the priority.
Boracay
Straightforward beach break with a famous white-sand shoreline and plenty of hotels at different price points.
Bohol
A strong combination of beaches, countryside and the Chocolate Hills, often paired with Cebu.
Taipei, Taiwan
A relatively short regional flight and an easy contrast to an island-heavy Philippines itinerary.
Hong Kong
Another compact city add-on with frequent regional connectivity and a very different food and city experience.
⚠️ Manila survival kit
Do not judge journeys by distance alone. Crossing Metro Manila can take far longer than the map suggests, especially at busy times.
Late September and October can bring heavy rain and tropical-weather disruption, so keep some flexibility in island connections.
Grab is useful for straightforward pricing and avoiding unnecessary negotiation with taxis.
Keep valuables discreet and use ordinary caution in crowded areas, transport hubs and unfamiliar streets after dark.
Intramuros walks, food tours, Manila Bay, cultural experiences and day trips — browse first, then book only what genuinely improves your trip.
A few useful extras chosen with premium-cabin travellers in mind — from quality carry-on luggage and reliable mobile data to travel rewards that can add extra value before, during and after the flight.
A much better fit for premium-cabin travel: sleek hard-shell luggage
designed for frequent flyers, short business trips and smooth airport
handling.
LEVEL8 offers business carry-ons with features such as
organised interiors, 360° spinner wheels and quick-access laptop compartments
on selected models.
Ideal when you want to keep your essentials with you and move quickly
from lounge to aircraft to hotel without waiting at baggage reclaim.
Arrive with mobile data ready and avoid searching for a local SIM
card or relying on airport Wi-Fi.
