Hanoi
Business Class from €1,836 return
About this deal
A very strong Etihad Business Class fare from Dublin to Hanoi, with efficient Abu Dhabi connections and widebody aircraft throughout the long sectors.
For the reference 19–29 October 2026 itinerary, the lowest fare is around €1,836 with lastminute.com via Skyscanner Ireland. Etihad itself can also be selected from the Skyscanner vendor list for €1,973 — only €137 more.
For a four-sector premium ticket, I would seriously consider paying that small difference for direct airline servicing.
Etihad direct: €1,973
Cabin: Business Class
Checked baggage: 35 kg

HANHanoiEtihad Value Business fare
The Value fare gives you the premium seat and Business Class onboard service, but does not include lounge access, free seat selection, UAE Chauffeur or free Wi-Fi. Compare the Comfort fare if those extras matter to you.
Booking options
The cheapest route into the fare. Similar OTA prices were around €1,836–€1,859.
Check the lowest fare →Only €137 more than the lowest OTA fare. For a premium four-sector itinerary, I would personally pay the difference for direct airline servicing.
Open Skyscanner & select Etihad →Value includes 35 kg checked baggage and Priority Access, but not lounge access, free seat selection, refundability, Chauffeur or free Wi-Fi. Compare the Comfort upgrade price before final payment if those matter to you.
Recheck the reference fare →September, October and November combinations were available when checked. Reopen each exact search and compare the live vendor list.
Outstanding long-haul Business Class value. Excellent connections, strong widebody product, a very reasonable direct-airline alternative and 35 kg checked baggage. The Value fare's missing lounge access and seat selection are the main compromises.

Dino hotel guide · Hanoi
Hanoi hotel prices can be genuinely wild in a good way. In this part of the world you can often find
excellent-rated 5-star hotels from around €90 per night — which is roughly
€45 per person when travelling as a couple. That is crazy value.
The hotel I picked for the first 3 nights is Shining Central Hotel & Spa in the
Hoan Kiem area. The attached rate is about €325 total for 3 nights,
which works out to roughly €108 per night for 2 adults, breakfast included, with free cancellation and a strong central location.
Why this hotel is a good pick
For a first few nights in Hanoi, this is the kind of hotel I like:
central, comfortable, well-rated and not outrageously expensive.
It sits in Hoan Kiem, one of the most practical areas for a short stay,
and the listing highlights breakfast, spa facilities, a rooftop pool and an excellent location.
That makes it a very sensible base for recovering from the flight, exploring the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake,
and doing your first couple of days in Hanoi without wasting time on long transfers across the city.
How long should you stay in Hanoi?
Three nights is my sweet spot for Hanoi if it is your first stop in Vietnam.
That gives you enough time for the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, food, coffee, a few cultural sights
and a slower arrival day if you land tired.
If you love cities, street food and a more immersive pace, 4 nights is also perfectly valid.
Less than 2 nights feels rushed, especially after a long-haul flight.
Best areas to stay in Hanoi
Dino tip: for a short first visit I would prioritise Hoan Kiem or the better part of the Old Quarter. For the cheapest stays, read the room description twice: some budget and even mid-range properties sell interior rooms with no window.
Where to go next after Hanoi
Hanoi works brilliantly as a launchpad. After 3 nights in the city, I would usually continue with one or two of the options below rather than staying only in Hanoi for the whole trip.
How to use Karma to your advantage
I would start on Booking.com because it is easy to compare location, room type, cancellation policy and breakfast. Once you have found the hotel you actually want, let Karma check whether the same stay appears cheaper elsewhere.
Important: a cheaper rate is only a real saving if the details are the same — same room type, same number of guests, same cancellation terms, same breakfast / extras and ideally the same taxes treatment.
Dangers, hygiene and precautions
My basic Hanoi rules: use reliable ride apps or agreed fares, keep small cash handy, be extra careful when crossing roads, and do not book a suspiciously cheap “great room” without checking whether it has a window.
