Hong Kong
from €1,632 return
About this deal
This is a very strong Etihad Business Class fare from Gothenburg to Hong Kong, with one sensible connection in Abu Dhabi each way and a full-flat seat with direct aisle access on every sector. I found prepared Mytrip fares via Skyscanner Ireland from roughly €1,632 to €1,659 return.
The itinerary is especially attractive because the Gothenburg–Abu Dhabi sectors use Etihad's A321neo Business Class in a 1-1 layout, while the Abu Dhabi–Hong Kong sectors use the 787 in a 1-2-1 layout. There is no weak recliner segment hidden in the itinerary.
Etihad direct was available for SEK 19,658, roughly €1,744 depending on the exchange rate. That direct fare is the Business Value fare with 35kg checked baggage. Business Comfort was SEK 21,652 / about €1,917 — only SEK 1,994 / about €177 more — and adds lounge access, free seat selection, 40kg baggage, free Wi-Fi, chauffeur eligibility and refund flexibility.

Fare + Business Class details
For only around €177 more than Etihad Business Value, Comfort adds lounge access, free seat selection, 5kg more checked baggage, free Wi-Fi, chauffeur eligibility and greater refund flexibility. On a four-sector Business Class itinerary, that is a meaningful bundle of extras for a relatively small uplift.
Swedish residents: the prepared Mytrip links use Skyscanner Ireland and payment is shown in euros. If you prefer to pay in SEK, change the Skyscanner country/market to Sweden; the cheapest OTA should normally be in a similar range, but always compare the final live total. Alternatively, look for Etihad Airways in the vendor list and book directly.

Check the reference fare →Around €110 more than the cheapest OTA reference fare. For a Business Class ticket, booking directly with Etihad keeps the operating airline as your point of contact and also makes the Comfort upgrade particularly easy to consider.
Book direct with Etihad →Only SEK 1,994 / around €177 more than Business Value. The upgrade includes lounge access, free seat selection, 40kg baggage, free Wi-Fi, chauffeur eligibility and refund permitted with a fee.
I found 10 prepared combinations across late January, February, April, May and June 2027, with Mytrip fares roughly €1,632–€1,659 return. The links below open the prepared Skyscanner Ireland searches; always recheck the live fare before paying.
A genuinely premium Business Class itinerary at a very strong fare. The big attraction is not just the €1,632 headline price: Etihad provides a full-flat seat with direct aisle access on all four sectors, the connections are sensible, and the airline-direct Business Value and Comfort options remain competitively priced.

Hong Kong hotel playbook
Hong Kong hotel prices can vary dramatically by neighbourhood and date, so I would start with the area and MTR access, compare the final price for the same room and cancellation terms, then let Karma check whether the same stay is available for less elsewhere. For this trip I would normally aim for 3–4 nights in Hong Kong, then use the longer dates to add Macau or another Asian country.
Hong Kong room prices can move a lot between districts and dates. Check the same room with Karma switched on before you pay — and compare the final total, room size, cancellation terms and MTR access.
💰 Dino hotel booking method
Pick the district and MTR access that fit your trip, then shortlist hotels with strong recent reviews.
Leave Karma active while browsing Booking.com so it can compare prices in the background.
If Karma finds nothing useful, do one final like-for-like comparison before paying.
⏳ How many nights in Hong Kong?
Enough for a quick stopover, Victoria Harbour and one or two key neighbourhoods.
A good first visit with time for Kowloon, Hong Kong Island and the harbour without rushing too much.
The best balance for neighbourhoods, Victoria Peak, markets, food and a slower half-day or day trip.
Great if you want a slower stay, Disneyland, Lantau or a separate Macau visit before continuing elsewhere.
📍 Best areas to stay in Hong Kong
Excellent for a first visit: harbour views, Kowloon food, Star Ferry and easy MTR connections.
Best for convenience, business-district access, Peak transport and nightlife, but usually among the pricier areas.
Great for shopping, food and transport, with lots going on from morning until late evening.
A strong alternative near Central with cafés, local streets and convenient ferry and MTR access.
🚀 Where to go next — perfect for the longer dates
Macau
The easiest add-on from Hong Kong. Ferries and the bridge make 1–2 nights straightforward if you want Portuguese heritage, food and casinos.
Shenzhen, China
Very close by rail and useful for a completely different modern-city experience. Check visa and entry rules before planning it.
Guangzhou, China
A strong food-focused extension with fast rail links from Hong Kong and enough to justify 2–3 nights.
Taipei, Taiwan
One of the easiest short-flight additions: night markets, excellent public transport and a very different atmosphere from Hong Kong.
Vietnam 🇻🇳
Hanoi or Da Nang work particularly well if you want cheaper hotels and food after Hong Kong and can spare several extra days.
Thailand 🇹🇭
Bangkok is an easy flight and a strong contrast to Hong Kong, with excellent food, hotels and onward connections across Southeast Asia.
Philippines 🇵🇭
Manila is close by air and can be paired with islands such as Palawan, Cebu or Boracay if you want beach time after the city.
Japan 🇯🇵
Tokyo or Osaka are easy flight additions for a longer itinerary, although your total trip cost will usually be higher than in Southeast Asia.
⚠️ Hong Kong survival kit
January and February are cooler and drier. April to June is warmer, more humid and can bring heavy rain.
Hong Kong public transport is excellent. A hotel near a useful MTR station can save a lot of time and taxi money.
It makes MTR, buses, ferries and many small purchases much easier from the moment you arrive.
Airport Express is fast and easy, but buses can be much cheaper depending on where your hotel is located.
Victoria Peak, harbour cruises, Lantau, food tours, markets and day trips — browse first, then book only what genuinely improves your trip.
A few useful extras chosen with premium-cabin travellers in mind — from quality carry-on luggage and reliable mobile data to travel rewards that can add extra value before, during and after the flight.
A much better fit for premium-cabin travel: sleek hard-shell luggage
designed for frequent flyers, short business trips and smooth airport
handling.
