About this deal
A seriously strong Business Class fare from Madrid to Guangzhou with Sichuan Airlines, bookable directly on the Sichuan Airlines website via the prepared Skyscanner links.
The fare proof shows €1,538.90 return on Sichuan Airlines for a November itinerary, with 2 × 32 kg checked baggage included.
The reference trip below is 13–28 November 2026. According to the aircraft information shown on Sichuan Airlines' own booking flow, both long-haul sectors on the November-return options are scheduled on the Airbus A350-900 with a 1-2-1 Business Class layout, giving every passenger direct aisle access.
There is an important aircraft split across the prepared dates: trips that return in November are currently scheduled with the A350-900 on both long-haul sectors, while trips that return in December currently show the A350-900 outbound and A330-200 2-2-2 on the return.
Always recheck the aircraft and seat configuration on Sichuan Airlines before paying. Aircraft assignments can change. Also note that Sichuan's schedule page may label the long-haul cabin as “First”; for this itinerary it is the airline's Business Class product, not a separate First Class cabin.

CANGuangzhouCabin, baggage + important catches
At roughly the same fare level, the November-return combinations give you the stronger cabin configuration in both directions: A350-900 with 1-2-1 Business Class on both long-haul sectors. If your dates are flexible, those are the options I would check first.
The A350/A330 assignments above are based on the aircraft information currently displayed by Sichuan Airlines. Equipment changes can happen. Before paying, open the exact flights on Sichuan Airlines and verify that 3U3804 and 3U3803 still show the aircraft and cabin configuration you want.
Fare proof · direct Sichuan Airlines booking
The fare proof documents the direct Sichuan Airlines price level. Prices and aircraft are dynamic, so recheck the final total, baggage allowance, aircraft and cabin layout before payment.
Use one of the prepared Skyscanner links below and, when the direct airline option appears, complete the booking on Sichuan Airlines. The fare includes 2 × 32 kg checked baggage. Before paying, verify the exact aircraft shown for both long-haul sectors.
CHECK 13 NOV – 28 NOV →I checked the aircraft information shown by Sichuan Airlines for these combinations. The first group currently has A350-900 1-2-1 on both long-haul sectors. The second group currently has A350-900 1-2-1 outbound and A330-200 2-2-2 on the return. Always recheck before payment.
These are the strongest combinations if cabin quality matters.
These combinations are still very attractive at the right price, but the long-haul return is currently scheduled on the older A330-200 2-2-2 Business cabin rather than the A350 1-2-1 product.
At roughly €1,539 return, this is a standout Business Class fare to southern China. The strongest November-return options combine A350-900 1-2-1 Business Class in both directions, 2 × 32 kg baggage and direct airline booking. The main weakness is the 6h25 overnight Chengdu connection on the reference return, while December-return dates also lose the A350 on the inbound long-haul sector.

Guangzhou hotel playbook
The reference Sichuan Airlines itinerary arrives in Guangzhou at 10:25 on 14 November 2026 and departs at 17:15 on 28 November. For the reference trip, book the hotel from 14 November to 28 November — 14 hotel nights in total. Because the arrival is during the day, there is no need to pay for the previous night just to protect the room.
Fourteen nights is long enough for hotel price changes to matter. I would secure a well-reviewed refundable option once the flights are ticketed, then keep checking the same dates. If a better value appears before the cancellation deadline, confirm the replacement first and only then cancel the original booking.

Never cancel a confirmed refundable booking until the cheaper replacement is fully confirmed.

💰 Dino hotel booking method
Choose a well-rated property in the part of Guangzhou you actually want to use and prioritise free cancellation. On a 14-night stay, location and transport convenience matter more than saving a few euros per night.
Re-check the same dates periodically. If the same hotel drops or a stronger property appears for less, compare the exact room and conditions before switching.
If a genuinely better rate appears, confirm the replacement before cancelling your backup. Compare the final total, not just the headline nightly rate.
🌙 How many hotel nights?
Check in: 14 November 2026.
Check out: 28 November 2026.
The flight reaches Guangzhou at 10:25 on 14 November, so a normal same-day booking is correct. You may need luggage storage until the room is ready, but you do not need to book 13 November.
Most hotels will not guarantee a room at 10:25. Choose a property with luggage storage and use the first afternoon for a relaxed start while waiting for normal check-in.
The return leaves Guangzhou at 17:15 on 28 November. Check out normally that morning, leave bags with the hotel if needed, and head to the airport later in the day.
📍 Best areas to stay
TianheMy easiest all-round choice for a first visit. Modern, convenient and well connected, with strong access to shopping, restaurants and major transport links.
Zhujiang New TownBest if you want a polished modern-city stay near the Canton Tower, riverfront areas and newer hotels. Usually more expensive, but very comfortable.
Yuexiu / Beijing RoadBetter for history, older neighbourhoods, local food and a more traditional city feel. A strong choice if you want to be closer to central sightseeing rather than business districts.
HaizhuUseful if you want easier access to the river, Canton Tower area or the Pazhou side of the city. Check the exact metro station because the district covers a large area.
🌎 How I would use the two-week trip
Give the city enough time for food, neighbourhoods, temples, riverfront areas and a slower day or two. Fourteen nights is more than you need for a rushed city break, so enjoy it at a relaxed pace.
Shenzhen is a natural extension if you want a very different modern-city atmosphere. It is easy to combine without another flight, making it one of the simplest ways to vary the trip.
If your passport and entry arrangements allow it, Hong Kong is an obvious add-on from the Pearl River Delta. Check border and entry requirements before making non-refundable hotel bookings.
I would spend the final night back in Guangzhou rather than relying on a same-day cross-border or long-distance transfer before the 17:15 flight.
🌍 Where to go next / easy extensions
With 14 nights available, Guangzhou works very well as the anchor for a broader Pearl River Delta trip rather than the only stop.
ShenzhenA modern contrast to Guangzhou with waterfront areas, design districts, major shopping and easy rail links back toward Guangzhou.
Hong KongAn obvious extension if you want a completely different city feel. Check the entry rules for your passport and allow comfortable time for the border journey.
FoshanA very easy nearby add-on if you want traditional Lingnan culture, food and a slower change of pace without turning the trip into another major travel day.
⚠️ Dangers + what to look out for
The main things I would watch in Guangzhou are hotel location, payment/connectivity differences, passport check-in, air quality or weather changes, and making sure the property works for a long stay rather than just looking good in photos.
Guangzhou is enormous. Verify the actual walking route to the nearest useful Metro station rather than relying on the hotel map or district name alone.
Some familiar international online services may not work normally in mainland China. Arrange connectivity before arrival and keep offline copies of your hotel address, confirmation and key transport details.
Mobile payment is widespread, while foreign-card or cash acceptance can vary. Set up your preferred payment method in advance and keep a backup option.
Keep your passport handy for hotel registration and confirm the property has clear check-in procedures for international guests before you travel.
For 14 nights, room size, storage and laundry access matter. Check the actual square metres and whether the property has self-service or reasonably priced laundry facilities.
Read recent reviews for street noise, construction, nightlife and room soundproofing. A noisy room becomes much more irritating on a two-week stay.
Conditions can change from day to day. Keep some flexibility in outdoor plans and check the local forecast and air-quality information during the trip.
Watch for repeated complaints about cleanliness, air-conditioning, hot water, Wi-Fi, deposits, misleading photos or difficult refunds.
🛡️ Practical booking notes
For a 14-night stay, flexibility is valuable. If the refundable rate is only modestly higher, I would normally take it and continue monitoring.
The 10:25 arrival means you may reach the hotel well before the room is ready. Confirm luggage storage so the first afternoon is not wasted.
Over two weeks, breakfast and laundry can materially change the real trip cost. Compare those extras instead of looking only at the nightly room price.
Check taxes, deposits, payment timing, cancellation deadlines, breakfast, room type and any service charges before deciding which rate is genuinely cheaper.
Keep this part simple: use organised activities when transport or local knowledge genuinely adds value, then leave plenty of free time for food, neighbourhoods and easy day trips.
