Zanzibar
from €1,550 return
About this deal
This is an interesting Business Class fare from Stockholm to Zanzibar, starting from around €1,550 return
with Flightnetwork via Skyscanner Sweden. The reference trip is 24 November – 4 December 2026.
The routing is not six sectors of luxury Business Class, and that is important to say clearly. The short European sectors are operated by
KLM / Air France in European Business Class, while Nairobi–Zanzibar is on a 737 with a recliner-style premium seat.
The real value is on the overnight long-haul flights: AMS–NBO and NBO–CDG are Kenya Airways 787 Business Class with full-flat beds in a 2-2-2 layout.
The 2-2-2 cabin is older than a modern 1-2-1 suite and window passengers do not have direct aisle access, but both overnight sectors are exactly where the flat bed matters most.
The itinerary also avoids an overnight airport layover, although it does require two connections each way.
The cheapest booking flow I found is through Skyscanner Sweden, where Flightnetwork charges in SEK and the checkout is in Swedish.
Allow for any card foreign-exchange fee. Travellers who prefer booking directly with the airline can book with Kenya Airways from about €1,673 return.
Payment: SEK · Swedish checkout
Direct airline: Kenya Airways from about €1,673
Long-haul seat: 787 · 2-2-2 · full-flat
Direct fare rules shown: 2 × 32 kg checked baggage
Also included direct: lounge access, meals, priority boarding and fast lane where available

What Business Class are you actually getting?
You are accepting two stops each way and an older 2-2-2 long-haul cabin, but the overnight flights are the ones with the proper bed. For Zanzibar at this price, that is a very sensible compromise.
This is not the fastest way to Zanzibar. The outbound includes 4 hours in Amsterdam plus 1h30 in Nairobi; the return has 1h40 in Nairobi and 2h15 in Paris. The upside is that there is no ugly overnight airport wait.
The cheapest Flightnetwork fare is accessed through Skyscanner Sweden. The booking flow is in Swedish and payment is taken in SEK, so check your card's foreign-exchange rate and any FX fee before paying.
Booking options
This is the cheapest option I found. The important catch is the Swedish-language booking flow and SEK payment. The euro amount is approximate and your card may add a foreign-exchange fee.
Check the reference fare →Roughly €120 more than the cheapest OTA fare when checked. For some travellers that is a reasonable premium for booking directly with the operating airline and dealing with it directly if plans change.
Check Kenya Airways direct →Make sure the overnight AMS–NBO and NBO–CDG sectors still show the Kenya Airways 787. Also verify that the Flightnetwork fare carries the baggage allowance you expect. Kenya Airways' direct Business Lite fare showed 2 × 32 kg, but OTA fare displays can differ.
Recheck the reference dates →Four useful combinations were prepared around the €1,550 level. Prices are live and can move at any time, so use these as direct searches rather than a guarantee of the original fare.
A very good Zanzibar Business Class fare with the flat bed placed on the sectors where it matters most. The two-stop routing and older 2-2-2 cabin keep it below the 9s, but the price, baggage and direct-airline alternative make this a strong overall package.

Zanzibar hotel playbook
The reference itinerary gives you 9 hotel nights, arriving in Zanzibar on 25 November 2026 and flying home on 4 December 2026. That is a very comfortable length for combining Stone Town with a proper beach stay without changing hotels every couple of days.
In Zanzibar, location matters almost as much as the hotel itself. Start by choosing the coast you actually want, then keep Karma switched on while comparing. Always check that a cheaper result has the same room, meal plan, cancellation rules and taxes.
💰 Dino hotel booking method
Decide whether you want easy swimming in the north, kite-and-beach life on the east coast, or a couple of nights inside historic Stone Town before comparing individual hotels.
Browse your shortlist on Booking.com with Karma switched on so it can flag alternative prices in the background.
Do one final like-for-like comparison before paying. Check the final total, not just the nightly headline price.
⏳ How many nights in Zanzibar?
Fine for a short beach break, but you will probably have to choose between Stone Town and seeing more than one part of the island.
Enough for a very good first trip — especially if you keep the plan simple with one beach base plus Stone Town.
An excellent balance. You can spend 1–2 nights in Stone Town and still have a full week by the beach.
Better if you want to split north and east coast, add diving or kitesurfing, or combine Zanzibar with a mainland safari.
📍 Best areas to stay in Zanzibar
Best for history, food, architecture and atmosphere. I would normally stay 1–2 nights rather than use it as the beach base for the whole trip.
One of the easiest all-round choices for a first visit: lots of hotels and restaurants, lively evenings and generally straightforward beach time.
Close to Nungwi but usually calmer. A strong pick if you mainly want a good beach, sunsets and resort time without quite as much bustle.
The east-coast option for a more laid-back atmosphere, cafés, kitesurfing and long beaches — but the tides make a much bigger difference here.
🌎 How I would split the 9 nights
Enough time to explore the old streets, markets and waterfront without sacrificing too much beach time.
The simplest version: move once, unpack and relax in Nungwi or Kendwa for the rest of the trip.
Swap the north for Paje or Jambiani if your priorities are kitesurfing, cafés and the east-coast atmosphere rather than easy all-day swimming.
A longer trip can combine Zanzibar with mainland Tanzania, but for nine nights I would only do this if safari is a major reason for travelling.
⚠️ Zanzibar practical survival kit
On parts of the east coast the sea can retreat a very long way at low tide. This is part of the experience, but it matters if swimming is your priority.
Beach resorts can be a substantial drive from the airport and Stone Town. Do not plan the final transfer too tightly around your flight.
Late November and early December can bring showers. Keep the itinerary flexible rather than assuming every day will be cloudless.
Transfers, meals, excursions and drinks can turn a cheap room into an expensive stay. Compare the full trip cost, not just the hotel rate.
Stone Town tours, spice farms, snorkelling, dhow cruises and marine excursions are all easy to add. I would book only the experiences that genuinely improve the trip and leave plenty of empty beach days.
A few useful extras chosen with premium-cabin travellers in mind — from quality carry-on luggage and reliable mobile data to travel rewards that can add extra value before, during and after the flight.

handling.
