This is a very unusual way to sample two different long-haul Business Class products on a short European trip without paying long-haul Business Class prices.
I found return fares in the approximate €387-€389 range from Madrid to London Heathrow, combining selected British Airways widebody aircraft outbound with Iberia widebody aircraft on the return.
Depending on the dates, the outbound is scheduled with a British Airways Boeing 777-200 or Boeing 787-8, while the return is scheduled with an Iberia Airbus A330-300 or A350-900.
The reference 10-15 December itinerary prices at €386.79 directly through British Airways and combines the BA 787-8 outbound + Iberia A350-900 return.

The screenshots above were checked directly on the British Airways booking / seat-selection flow. The 787-8 screenshot is the 61147 image, while the 777-200 screenshot is the 6245 image. British Airways operates several 777-200 cabin configurations, including older layouts, but the 777 dates checked for this deal currently show the newer 1-2-1 Club Suite layout with direct aisle access for every passenger. This remains an aircraft-specific deal, so re-check the aircraft and seat map before payment because operational swaps can happen.
For less than €400 return, selected dates let you try two genuinely different long-haul premium cabins on a route that normally uses standard European aircraft.
Depending on the combination, you can pair a BA 777-200 or 787-8 with an Iberia A330-300 or A350-900 on the way back. For an aviation enthusiast, that makes the fare much more interesting than an ordinary two-hour Business Class hop.

Ideally, verify it once more on the British Airways landing / booking page. BA has multiple 777-200 configurations, including older Club World layouts, so the seat map matters. The checked 777 dates showed 1-2-1 Club Suite, but aircraft assignments can change.

The combination is exceptional for an intra-European trip: under €400 return, direct both ways, 2 × 32 kg checked baggage and the chance to compare two different long-haul Business Class products. The only meaningful caveat is aircraft dependence: if a widebody is swapped for a normal narrowbody, much of the special value disappears.

For a short 2–3 night stay I would prioritise location and transport over chasing the absolute cheapest room, while longer 5–7 night stays give you more freedom to choose quieter or better-value neighbourhoods.
If this is your first visit, staying somewhere central such as Covent Garden, Soho, Westminster or South Bank will save a lot of time. If hotel prices are high, areas such as Paddington, King's Cross, Canary Wharf or Shoreditch can offer better value while still keeping you well connected.
London hotel prices can vary dramatically by neighbourhood and date. Before booking, compare at least two or three areas rather than searching only around Leicester Square or Westminster.
