Why I like this option
Hotel Vecellio sits in Cannaregio, a good compromise if you want to stay inside Venice
without being directly in the busiest part of the San Marco area.
The property is described as a family-run hotel with classic Venetian-style furnishings,
air-conditioned rooms and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms also offer lagoon views.
St Mark's Square is around a 15-minute walk, while the
Rialto Bridge is approximately 900 metres away. The nearby
Fondamenta Nuove ferry stop is particularly useful for Murano and other lagoon islands.
