Fortaleza
from €1,468 return
About this deal
A rare nonstop Business Class fare from Lisbon to Fortaleza with LATAM,
operated by a Boeing 787 widebody with 1-2-1 full-flat seating and direct aisle access.
The reference trip is 02 December - 12 December 2026.
Booking directly on Trip.com showed €1,468 return, while accessing the same Trip.com itinerary through Skyscanner showed about €1,510 — around €42 more.
Trip.com is an OTA I am comfortable using, but the gap between this fare and the much higher LATAM-direct price was unusually large. Confirm the exact flights, cabin, baggage and fare rules on the final checkout page before payment.

Fare proof
Trip.com showed the reference itinerary at €1,468 return, with 1 × 23 kg checked baggage and 1 × 16 kg carry-on baggage.
Check current Trip.com price →LATAM's own website was selling the same route at a much higher price. Trip.com is a major OTA I am comfortable using, but this unusually large OTA/airline gap is worth treating with extra care. Verify the exact Business Class product, flight numbers, baggage allowance and fare conditions on final checkout.
Compare LATAM direct →Why this fare works + important details
The combination of €1,468 return, a nonstop routing, LATAM 787 and 1-2-1 full-flat Business Class is exceptionally strong. Booking Trip.com directly was also around €42 cheaper than selecting Trip.com through Skyscanner.
1. Late arrival in Fortaleza: the reference flight lands at 23:45. I would arrange the hotel transfer or a reliable taxi/app pickup in advance rather than improvising after landing.
2. Very early return: the reference flight leaves Fortaleza at 06:50. Some selected dates can leave as early as 05:55, so expect a very early hotel checkout and airport transfer.
3. Unusually large OTA/airline gap: LATAM direct was substantially more expensive when checked. Trip.com itself is not the concern; the unusual size of the gap is why I would double-check the exact flights, Business Class cabin, baggage and fare conditions at final checkout.
4. Fare rules: the lowest fare shown was non-refundable with changes from around €285. Recheck the current conditions before payment.
5. Aircraft: confirm the flight still shows a Boeing 787 with 1-2-1 full-flat Business Class before paying.

Booking options
This was around €42 cheaper than selecting Trip.com through Skyscanner. I am comfortable with Trip.com, but because the gap versus LATAM direct is unusually large, confirm every detail on the final checkout page before payment.
Check Trip.com direct →LATAM's own website was substantially more expensive for the same route. The airline-direct option is still worth checking as a price/fare-rule comparison, particularly if the Trip.com fare moves or the checkout conditions differ.
Compare LATAM direct →These are the prepared Trip.com combinations supplied for this fare. The 02 Dec - 12 Dec 2026 itinerary is the reference at €1,468 return. Recheck the live fare and exact departure time on every date; some return options can leave Fortaleza as early as 05:55.
Exceptional price, nonstop routing and a proper 787 Business Class product. The score is deliberately held back by the 23:45 arrival, the 06:50 / sometimes 05:55 return departure, and the unusually large gap between the Trip.com fare and LATAM's own pricing.

The reference Business Class itinerary gives you 10 hotel nights in Brazil. Fortaleza itself is worth a few days, but with this much time I would also use the trip to see more of Ceará — especially Jericoacoara.
For a first visit, I would prioritise the Beira-Mar corridor. It gives you the easiest combination of restaurants, seafront atmosphere, transport and hotel choice. Meireles is my strongest all-round pick.
Use the remaining nights to explore Ceará
- Meireles is my first choice for most visitors.
- Choose Mucuripe for a quieter seafront base.
- Choose Praia de Iracema for nightlife and culture.
- Choose Praia do Futuro if beach time is the priority.
- For the 10-night reference trip, I would not stay in Fortaleza for all 10 nights.
How to stay safer in Fortaleza
I would not treat Fortaleza like a destination where you casually wander anywhere at any hour.
The easiest approach is to stay in a well-reviewed hotel around Meireles / Beira-Mar,
keep valuables discreet and use a taxi or verified ride-hailing car when moving around after dark.
This matters even more on the reference itinerary because the flight lands at 23:45.
For that first night I would arrange the transfer before departure, use an authorised airport taxi,
or carefully verify the driver and number plate on your ride-hailing app.
These are sensible precautions rather than a reason not to visit. Staying in the right area and using reliable transport at night makes the trip much easier to manage.
Where to go next in Ceará
Jericoacoara — usually shortened to Jeri — is the side trip I would prioritise.
It is roughly 300 km from Fortaleza, but the final section is over sand rather than normal paved road.
The easiest option is a pre-booked shared or private 4×4 transfer from your Fortaleza hotel or the airport.
A private transfer can take around 4½–5 hours depending on conditions.
The budget option is a bus towards Jijoca followed by the local jardineira / 4×4 across the final sandy section;
allow roughly 7 hours overall.
Jericoacoara
~300 km · dunes · lagoons · sunsets · 4 nights is ideal on this itinerary.
Cumbuco
~27 km · roughly 30–60 min · dunes · kitesurfing · very easy day trip from Fortaleza.
Canoa Quebrada
~160 km · around 2½ hours by car · cliffs · beach · better as an overnight than a rushed day trip.
Fortaleza beaches
Praia do Futuro works well as a beach day without changing hotels.
My 10-night split: 4 nights Fortaleza + 4 nights Jericoacoara + 2 nights Fortaleza. Cumbuco can easily be done as a day trip during one of the Fortaleza stays. The final Fortaleza night is particularly useful because the LATAM return leaves at 06:50.
