Punta Cana
from £309 return
About this deal
A very strong direct Manchester to Punta Cana fare with TUI Airways, with multiple October 2026 combinations
and a lowest proof price of £309 return.
For the actual DIY holiday I would use 5–12 October 2026 at £339 return.
It costs only £30 more than the absolute cheapest 14-night option, gives you the much easier-to-sell
7-night holiday format, and the return reaches Manchester at a more civilised 07:45.
The fare includes a 10 kg cabin bag, standard seat and onboard meal.
A 15 kg checked bag starts from about £75 return, taking the reference trip to around
£414 return if you need hold luggage.

The overnight return is normal for Caribbean-to-UK flying, but the 07:45 arrival
is noticeably better than some earlier-morning alternatives.

Fare proof
October weather + booking note
October can bring hotter, wetter and more unsettled weather in the Dominican Republic. That does not make it a bad time to travel, but it helps explain why fares can be this low. I would strongly favour flexible hotel terms and proper travel insurance.
The £309 ticket is cheaper, but the 5–12 October £339 fare is the much easier holiday to package: seven nights, direct flights and a better return arrival time in Manchester. For only £30 more, I think it is the stronger overall trip.

Booking options
The cheapest fare we found. Excellent if you genuinely want a two-week Caribbean trip.
Check the £309 fare →This is the one I would package. Seven nights is easier to combine with a resort, and the 07:45 arrival back into Manchester is better than the earlier alternatives.
Check the 7-night fare →A 10 kg cabin bag is already included, which is enough for many one-week resort trips. If you need hold luggage, a 15 kg checked bag starts from about £75 return.
Recheck the package pick →There are several October combinations with different trip lengths. Prices move quickly, so treat the figures below as the levels found when checked and always confirm the live total.
Outstanding — direct Caribbean flying from Manchester at a very strong price. The practical 7-night option, 10 kg hand luggage and meal included make it especially easy to turn into a DIY package. October weather risk and the extra cost of checked baggage are the main compromises.

Dino hotel pick · Punta Cana
For the 5–12 October 2026 flight reference, my hotel pick is Occidental Punta Cana - All Inclusive in Bávaro. It is a beachfront resort with multiple pools, restaurants, bars, spa facilities and a location that works especially well for a simple one-week fly-and-flop Caribbean holiday.
That is a saving of roughly £538 — about 39% — compared with the Booking.com rate shown. This is exactly why I do not stop at the first hotel price I see.
Why this is my Punta Cana pick
Occidental Punta Cana sits directly on the Bávaro beachfront and is exactly the sort of property
that makes sense with a cheap direct TUI fare: you land, transfer to the resort and have almost everything in one place.
The Booking.com listing shown for the reference dates carries an 8.2/10 “Very good” rating from around 1,930 reviews,
with the location rated particularly well.
The Dino hotel-booking method
I still like Booking.com as the place to find and compare hotels. The trick is not to stop there.
Install the browser extension and keep it active before opening Booking.com.
Search the exact destination, dates and guest count. For this example: 5–12 Oct 2026, 2 adults, 1 room.
Do not choose a hotel just because Karma may find it cheaper. First decide that the property, room and board basis suit your trip.
Karma may surface the same hotel for a lower price on another booking portal or direct with the hotel.
Check the same room type, all-inclusive basis, guest count, taxes, cancellation terms and payment conditions.
If Karma surfaces a referral-dependent portal, follow Karma's own redirect rather than trying to open that rate independently.
Important: a £500+ headline saving is only real if the products are genuinely comparable. In this example the screenshots show the same dates and two adults, but you should still confirm the same room category, all-inclusive terms, cancellation policy and payment schedule before paying.
Price comparison for our reference stay
Booking.com: £1,385
Direct example: £846.63
Difference: £538.37 — roughly 39% less.
On a one-week package, that saving is actually bigger than the £339 return flight itself.
Hotel fare proof — Booking.com vs Karma result
Start on Booking.com with Karma active. Once you have chosen the hotel you actually want, watch for Karma to notify you if it finds a better matching rate elsewhere. In this example, Booking.com was showing the stay at around £1,385, while Karma surfaced a much cheaper option around £848.
Before paying, check that the cheaper rate really matches. Confirm the same dates, same number of guests, same room category, All-Inclusive board basis, taxes and fees, cancellation conditions, payment schedule and any included benefits. A lower number is only a genuine saving if you are comparing the same stay.
Booking.com shown: £1,385
Cheaper matching example: £846.63
Difference: £538.37
This is why the workflow is:
find the hotel on Booking.com → let Karma compare → verify the details → then book the genuinely better rate.

GetYourGuide ideas
For a seven-night all-inclusive trip I would keep excursions selective. The live GetYourGuide panel below can surface current Saona Island trips, catamaran cruises, buggy tours, snorkelling, Santo Domingo day trips and Punta Cana transfers.
