Bangkok
from €335 return
About this deal
A genuinely cheap nonstop Oslo–Bangkok return fare with Norse Atlantic, but this is a deal where the flight combination matters almost as much as the price.
The lowest reference fare is around €335 return for 26 October - 04 November 2026, but the outbound lands in Bangkok at an awkward 03:40. The better-balanced option is 27 October - 04 November 2026 at around €384 return, arriving Bangkok at 08:35 and returning at a very civilised 10:40.
The headline Economy Light fare includes cabin baggage but no checked bag and no meals. For a long-haul Thailand trip, I would seriously consider Economy Classic: around €423 on the cheaper reference or €477 on the recommended reference, including a 23 kg checked bag + meals.
Routing: direct both ways
Headline fare: Economy Light
Included: cabin baggage
No checked bag / no meals on Light
Recommended reference: €384 Light / €477 Classic
26 Oct - 04 Nov from ~€335 ↓
Reference flight schedules
Outbound: Oslo 10:00 → Bangkok 03:40+1 · direct · 11h40
Return: Bangkok 10:40 → Oslo 17:50 · direct · 13h10
The return is good, but the 03:40 Bangkok arrival is the major drawback. You reach the city hours before normal hotel check-in, so you may need to arrange early access or effectively pay for an extra hotel night.
Outbound: Oslo 14:55 → Bangkok 08:35+1 · direct · 11h40
Return: Bangkok 10:40 → Oslo 17:50 · direct · 13h10
This is the combination I would actually book. The 08:35 arrival is far more practical and the 10:40 return avoids a brutal pre-dawn airport run.

Fare proof
Economy Light: about €335 return. Cabin baggage is included, but checked baggage and meals are not.
Economy Classic: about €423 return, including a 23 kg checked bag + meals.
The price is excellent, but the outbound reaches Bangkok at 03:40.
Economy Light: about €384 return. Cabin baggage is included, but checked baggage and meals are not.
Economy Classic: about €477 return, including a 23 kg checked bag + meals.
This costs more, but the 08:35 arrival in Bangkok makes it a substantially better trip. This is Dino's recommended option.
Norse fares are dynamic and availability appears limited. Always confirm the fare family, baggage allowance, meal inclusion and exact flight times before payment.
Why this fare works + important details
Direct Oslo–Bangkok flying at these prices is genuinely attractive. The best-value way to look at the deal is not simply “€335 to Bangkok”, but rather choose between the rock-bottom fare with a poor arrival time and the better schedule for around €49 more.
1. Inconsistent schedules: some of the cheapest combinations arrive Bangkok at 03:40 or use other inconvenient times.
2. Light fare is stripped back: cabin baggage is included, but there is no checked bag and no meal.
3. The good combinations cost more: the recommended 27 Oct - 04 Nov option is around €384 Light / €477 Classic rather than €335.
4. Availability: the attractive dates are scattered and availability appears limited, so this is not a broadly available fare calendar.

Booking options
Use this if price matters most and you can tolerate the 03:40 arrival into Bangkok. If you need a checked bag and meals, Classic is the more sensible version.
Check cheapest option →This is the easier sell and the option I would choose. 08:35 into Bangkok and 10:40 back to Oslo are both practical long-haul timings.
Check recommended option →Availability is fairly limited and the schedule varies significantly by date. Always open the flight details before booking — the cheapest combination is not necessarily the one I would recommend.
Excellent nonstop pricing, but this is not one uniform 9/10 fare. The cheapest combinations can have awful timings, the good schedules cost more, Economy Light is stripped back and availability is scattered. The 27 Oct - 04 Nov combination is the sweet spot.

One of Bangkok's biggest advantages is the cost of accommodation.
While good hotels in cities such as New York, London or Paris can easily dominate the entire trip budget,
Bangkok still offers very respectable 4- and 5-star accommodation from around €50 per room per night.
When travelling as a couple, that can mean spending only
around €25–30 per person per night
for accommodation that would cost several times as much in many other major cities.
One property that particularly caught our attention is the
Best Western Click Sathorn 11 Bangkok.
It combines
an excellent 8.9/10 guest rating, a strong location close to BTS Saint Louis, modern rooms, an outdoor swimming pool and useful flexible booking conditions
while remaining remarkably affordable.
For travellers who want a comfortable Bangkok base without wasting money on an unnecessarily expensive hotel,
this is exactly the kind of property we like.
The displayed rate also showed free cancellation before 25 October 2026 and pay nothing until 23 October 2026. Breakfast was available for a small supplement, while Booking.com also lists the property as having good breakfast.

Why this hotel + where to stay in Bangkok
Bangkok is one of those destinations where
spending more does not always mean getting dramatically more.
There is an enormous supply of quality accommodation,
which keeps prices surprisingly competitive.
For around €50–60 per night you can often find hotels offering
modern rooms, strong reviews, swimming pools and good public-transport connections.
The
Best Western Click Sathorn 11
fits that category very well.
Its location near
BTS Saint Louis
is particularly useful because Bangkok traffic can be extremely unpredictable.
Having easy access to the BTS network means you can reach many parts of the city without depending on taxis for every journey.
The property also sits in
Sathorn,
which I think is one of Bangkok's better all-round locations.
It gives you relatively easy access to Silom,
the river,
Siam and Sukhumvit while feeling slightly less chaotic than some of Bangkok's busiest tourist zones.
Dino tip: when comparing Bangkok hotels, do not look only at the nightly rate. Look at the distance to the nearest BTS or MRT station. Bangkok traffic can turn a short road journey into a very long one, so good rail access can substantially improve the trip.
Why Bangkok remains excellent value
Bangkok remains one of the strongest destinations in the world for
hotel value.
You can frequently find good 4-star accommodation from roughly
€50 per room per night.
For two people sharing,
that can mean paying around
€25 per person per night.
This changes the economics of the whole trip.
Even if the airfare costs €400–500,
you can still spend a week or two in Thailand without accommodation becoming the dominant cost.
The reference Best Western rate works out at approximately
€396 for seven nights,
or about
€198 per person for an entire week
when travelling as a couple.
That is extremely difficult to replicate in cities such as
London,
Paris,
Amsterdam,
New York
or Singapore.
Bangkok airport + transport
The Norse flights in this deal operate from
Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).
For most travellers,
the easiest budget route into central Bangkok is the
Airport Rail Link,
followed by BTS or MRT depending on where your hotel is located.
Taxis and Grab are also widely used,
particularly if you are carrying luggage,
but travel times can vary dramatically depending on Bangkok traffic.
The Best Western Click Sathorn 11 is close to
BTS Saint Louis,
which makes the location much more useful than the map distance alone might suggest.
From the BTS network,
you can connect towards
Siam, Sukhumvit, Silom and the river
without sitting in traffic for every journey.
For the recommended flight combination arriving at
08:35,
you should reach central Bangkok at a relatively useful time in the morning.
Your room may not yet be ready,
so it is worth asking the hotel whether luggage storage or early check-in is available.
Bangkok safety + common scams
Bangkok is visited safely by millions of travellers every year,
but like most major tourist cities,
there are a few very common situations worth knowing about.
Taxi meter:
If you use a normal taxi,
make sure the driver uses the meter.
If someone quotes an obviously inflated fixed price,
simply take another taxi or use a ride-hailing app such as Grab.
The “temple is closed” scam:
A stranger may tell you the attraction you are visiting is closed and offer to take you somewhere else.
Check the information yourself before changing your plans.
Very cheap tuk-tuk tours:
Some cheap rides come with unwanted stops at jewellery,
tailor or souvenir shops where the driver earns commission.
Gem / shopping scams:
Be cautious if a stranger tells you about a special government sale,
investment opportunity
or supposedly exceptional jewellery price.
ATMs and cash:
Use ATMs attached to banks or inside reputable locations where possible,
and avoid carrying unnecessary amounts of cash.
Nightlife:
Always check prices before ordering in unfamiliar bars,
especially in heavily tourist-oriented nightlife areas.
Road safety:
Traffic is probably the everyday risk travellers should take most seriously.
Be particularly careful crossing busy roads,
and think twice before renting a motorbike unless you are properly licensed and experienced.
The sensible approach is simple:
stay alert without becoming paranoid.
Bangkok is an incredibly rewarding city,
and most travellers experience no serious problems.
