A strong direct London to Singapore fare with proper baggage included
This is a very solid fare from London Heathrow to Singapore, with direct flights on Qantas Airways in the range of around £579–£583. For a nonstop long-haul route to Southeast Asia, that is a strong price, especially when the fare includes 30 kg checked baggage.
The biggest strength is the overall package. You get direct flights both ways, a respected full-service airline, long-haul meals and checked baggage included from the start. That makes this fare much more transparent than cheaper-looking options where luggage can increase the final price.
British Airways may show slightly cheaper direct flights with more availability on some dates, but those fares may only include cabin baggage. For travellers who need a checked suitcase, this Qantas option can easily be the better all-round value once baggage is included.

Where to stay in Singapore: smart budget or skyline luxury
Singapore is one of the easiest cities in Asia to explore, but accommodation prices can vary a lot depending on location, comfort level and hotel style. The good news is that you do not need to stay in a luxury hotel to enjoy the city properly — with Singapore’s excellent public transport, a simple well-located hotel can still work very well.
On sample searches, simple no-frills hotels could be found from around £50 per night per room. When travelling as a couple, that works out at only around £25 per person per night, which can be a very smart option if you plan to spend most of your time exploring rather than staying in the room.
For travellers who want more comfort, better facilities and a more polished stay, well-rated 4-star hotels can often be found from around £120 per night. This is usually the sweet spot for Singapore: comfortable enough for a proper city break, but still much more reasonable than the most famous luxury hotels.
At the top end, Singapore can become very expensive. The iconic Marina Bay Sands can cost around £600 per night, so it is more of a special-occasion or once-in-a-lifetime choice rather than the best-value option. If you want the skyline views without paying that much, consider staying somewhere more affordable and visiting rooftop bars, observation decks or Marina Bay in the evening instead.
