Buenos Aires
from €571 return
About this deal
A very strong nonstop Madrid to Buenos Aires fare from around €571–€579 return
when booked through Skyscanner Malta → eDreams, with a much more expensive but simpler
airline-direct option at around €673 with Plus Ultra.
The included Tarifa Ligera allowance is unusually useful for a fare at this level:
15 kg checked baggage + 10 kg hand baggage + one personal item, with meals included.
The reference itinerary is 5–20 July 2027, giving this deal a particularly strong hook for
European travellers because peak summer dates are available — even though July is winter in Argentina.
The major compromise is the airline itself. Plus Ultra is generally much more weakly reviewed than Iberia or
Aerolíneas Argentinas for cabin comfort, catering, customer service and disruption handling.
That is why the score stays in the low 8s despite the excellent price.
The trade-off is substantial, though: on comparable dates Plus Ultra can be around
€350–€400 cheaper than Iberia or Aerolíneas Argentinas.
Direct airline: about €673 with Plus Ultra
Routing: nonstop both ways
Checked baggage: 15 kg
Cabin baggage: 10 kg + personal item
Meals: included
Reference flight schedule
Plus Ultra · nonstop · approximately 12h35
This is a very good long-haul schedule: leave Madrid late at night, sleep as much as Economy allows,
and arrive in Buenos Aires early enough to have almost the whole day ahead of you.
Plus Ultra · nonstop · approximately 12h05
A sensible daytime departure from Buenos Aires with an early-morning arrival into Madrid.
No overnight airport connection and no second flight to worry about.

Direct both ways. No positioning or connection required on the reference itinerary.

Fare proof
eDreams surfaced the lowest non-Prime pricing through Skyscanner Malta, generally around €571–€579 return. The lower Prime price shown by eDreams is membership-dependent, so I would not use it as the headline fare.
Check via Skyscanner Malta →Fare + airline reality check
Around €571–€579 return nonstop is excellent for Madrid–Buenos Aires, especially with checked baggage, cabin baggage and meals already included. On comparable dates, Plus Ultra can be around €350–€400 cheaper than Iberia or Aerolíneas Argentinas.
The fare includes 15 kg checked baggage, 1 × 10 kg hand baggage (55 × 40 × 25 cm), 1 personal item (35 × 30 × 20 cm) and meals.
Why this is not a 9+ deal: Plus Ultra is much more weakly reviewed than Iberia or Aerolíneas Argentinas. Common complaints focus on tight Economy seating, a basic onboard product, inconsistent entertainment on older aircraft, catering and customer-service / disruption handling. If everything runs normally, the saving is excellent. If something goes wrong, this is not the airline I would most want to deal with.
July note: July is winter in Buenos Aires. That is not a bad thing — it can be a very good city-break season — but travellers expecting hot South American summer weather should know that temperatures are much cooler than in Europe at the same time.
Booking options
This is the price option. The saving of roughly €100 versus booking direct is meaningful. Check the final non-Prime total carefully before paying and make sure the same baggage allowance is displayed.
Check eDreams via Skyscanner Malta →Normally I would hesitate to pay €100 more, but this is a route where I can justify it. Plus Ultra already has a weaker reputation for disruption handling and support, so booking direct means there is one less company between you and the airline if something goes wrong.
Check direct with Plus Ultra →That is the entire logic of this deal. Plus Ultra is not the stronger product or the stronger airline. It becomes attractive because the saving can be large enough to compensate for the weaker Economy experience. If Iberia or Aerolíneas Argentinas were only €100 more, I would choose them instead. At €350–€400 more, the Plus Ultra fare becomes much harder to ignore.
Compare the reference fare →One of the strongest parts of this deal is the availability. Useful dates appear from November right through the European summer holidays, including late June, July and early August.
Very Good — huge value, but the airline itself is the compromise. The fare, nonstop routing, useful baggage and broad availability are excellent. The weaker Plus Ultra reputation for Economy comfort, catering, support and disruption handling is what stops this becoming an Outstanding deal.

Dino hotel guide · Buenos Aires
The reference Madrid → Buenos Aires itinerary gives you around 15 nights, which is far more than you need for Buenos Aires alone. For a first visit I would plan around 4–5 nights in the city, then use the remaining time for another part of Argentina or a short Uruguay extension. July is winter in Buenos Aires, but it can still be an excellent time for sightseeing if you are happy with cooler weather.
How long should you stay in Buenos Aires?
Buenos Aires is a huge city and it deserves more than a rushed weekend.
Four nights gives you the main neighbourhoods and sights,
while five nights lets you slow down, add a proper food / tango evening
and explore without turning every day into a checklist.
On a 15-night trip I would not spend the entire stay in Buenos Aires unless you specifically want a city-focused holiday.
Argentina is too large and varied for that.
Best areas to stay in Buenos Aires
Dino's Booking.com + Karma strategy
Buenos Aires has an enormous hotel and apartment supply, so it is easy to waste time comparing properties that are not actually equivalent. I would first choose the neighbourhood, hotel and room on Booking.com, with Karma active, then see whether Karma finds the same stay cheaper elsewhere. If it does not, Trivago is the final comparison.
Keep it active while browsing hotels.
Choose the exact neighbourhood, hotel and room.
Check whether the same stay is cheaper through another portal.
Compare cancellation, breakfast, taxes and payment terms.
Do one final comparison before paying.
What to check before booking
Dino rule: for a first visit I would rather pay slightly more for Palermo, Recoleta or a good central location than save €15–€20 per night and spend the trip crossing a huge city every day.
Where to go next after Buenos Aires
Dino itinerary idea: for 15 nights, something like 5 nights Buenos Aires + 3 nights Iguazú + 4 nights Mendoza + 2–3 nights back in Buenos Aires / Uruguay gives far more variety than spending the whole trip in the capital.
Buenos Aires safety: the main precautions
Dino rule: Buenos Aires is an incredibly rewarding city, but visible phones and open bags are easy targets. Most of the precautions are simple: stay aware, keep valuables secure and use proper transport late at night.

GetYourGuide Buenos Aires
GetYourGuide is useful for comparing tango shows, city tours, football experiences, food tours, Tigre Delta trips, Colonia day trips and airport transfers. For a five-night stay I would book only the experiences that genuinely add something and leave plenty of time to explore independently.
