Cancún
from €421 return
About this deal
A very strong winter-sun fare from Brussels to Cancún with Aer Lingus,
with a single connection in Dublin each way and useful availability from
November through February.
Our reference itinerary is 10–17 December 2026, priced at
€421.07 return directly with Aer Lingus on the Saver fare.
That includes a 10 kg cabin bag and a
complimentary meal on the long-haul sector.
The schedule is actually quite sensible for a one-stop itinerary:
you leave Brussels at 10:20, have a comfortable
2h30 connection in Dublin, and reach Cancún at
19:20. On the return, the 21:05 departure from Cancún
lets you keep most of your final day, followed by a 1h40 Dublin connection
and arrival back in Brussels at 15:25.
The headline Saver fare is excellent, but for a proper Cancún holiday I would strongly consider
Smart at around €571 return, because it adds a
23 kg checked bag + advance seat selection.

Why this scores 8.7
The strongest part of this deal is the complete package:
very low fare, direct airline booking, winter-sun timing, useful connections and good date availability.
The outbound schedule is especially practical, and the 21:05 return from Cancún means
you do not sacrifice your final day just to catch the flight home.
1. One stop each way:
there are more convenient nonstop leisure options from parts of Europe, so this is not the absolute easiest way to reach Cancún.
2. Long total journey time:
around 15 hours outbound and roughly 17h20 on the return.
3. Saver has no checked bag:
the €421 headline fare is excellent, but a proper beach holiday often means more luggage.
Smart at around €571 is probably the better real-world choice for many travellers.
Fare + booking details
Which fare should you choose?
Excellent if you can genuinely manage with the included 10 kg cabin bag. A complimentary meal is shown, which makes the headline fare particularly strong.
Check Saver fare →For a normal Cancún holiday, this is the fare I would choose. The extra cost gets you a 23 kg checked bag + advance seat selection, which is much more practical for a week in Mexico.
Check current fare →Useful availability was found from November 2026 through February 2027. Prices are dynamic, so use the links below to check the current fare.
Excellent winter-sun value. €421.07 return direct with Aer Lingus, useful December timing, good connections and broad winter availability make this a genuinely strong fare. The one-stop routing and lack of checked baggage on Saver keep it below 9.

For the 10–17 December 2026 reference trip, Riu Caribe – All Inclusive is a very solid match if you want a classic
Cancún Hotel Zone stay with a beach location, multiple pools, several restaurants and the convenience of an all-inclusive package.
This is the kind of property that makes sense when you want an easy, low-stress holiday rather than a trip built around moving around every day.
The rating is not ultra-luxury level, but the hotel offers a strong complete package for a one-week beach break.

How to unlock the cheaper rate with Karma
This is the same trust-building workflow I like whenever a comparison tool surfaces a better rate on another platform. The key point is that the cheaper rate may not appear if you start a totally fresh search somewhere else. In this case, the lower offer appeared after opening the hotel on Booking.com with Karma active.
Add the free Karma browser extension and keep it active while comparing hotels.
Use the Dino hotel link and load the property page for 10–17 Dec 2026 · 2 adults · 1 room.
Let Karma scan the page and surface any cheaper available rate elsewhere.
In this case Karma highlighted a cheaper Vio option at around €1,886 total.

Why this hotel works for Cancún
Riu Caribe is the kind of hotel that works best for travellers who want an easy beach holiday with most things already built in.
The Hotel Zone location means you are staying in the classic resort strip, so you get direct beach access and you are not far from
nightlife, ferry connections, excursions and other resort infrastructure.
The property itself looks attractive for this type of trip because the package is broad: all-inclusive, ocean-view room, several restaurants,
multiple pools, spa & wellness, fitness centre and beachfront setting.
It is not being positioned here as a hyper-luxury boutique stay, but rather as a strong-value holiday pick for people who want to keep the planning simple.
Is 7 nights the right length?
For a long-haul beach holiday from Europe, 7 nights is a very sensible minimum and usually the sweet spot for Cancún.
It gives you time to enjoy the hotel properly without turning the trip into a rushed in-and-out. Because this is an all-inclusive property,
it also helps justify paying for the resort rather than barely using it.
If you want a more active holiday, you could easily fill the week with a mix of beach days, Isla Mujeres, catamaran trips, cenotes, Chichén Itzá,
Tulum or a theme-park style day. If you want pure relaxation, a full week here works just as well.
What to know before you book
GetYourGuide ideas
Cancún works perfectly as a pure resort stay, but if you want to break up the week, compare activities such as Isla Mujeres catamaran trips, cenote visits, Chichén Itzá, Tulum, snorkelling and family-friendly day excursions. I would normally book only the experiences you really care about and keep a couple of days flexible.
