Madrid
from €72.23 return
About this deal
A very strong nonstop city-break fare from Dublin to Madrid with Iberia Express.
Our reference is 10–16 February 2027 at a final price of €72.23 return.
The useful trick here is Club Express: membership is free, and the reference booking showed
a 13% member discount on the outbound and a smaller 4% discount on the return.
The discount is therefore not a flat 13% off the whole trip.
The Express fare includes a 10 kg cabin bag. Iberia Express normally offers
two nonstop flights per day in each direction, which gives useful timing flexibility.
Outbound: 10:00 → 13:40
Return: 07:45 → 09:20
Routing: nonstop both ways
Cabin baggage: 10 kg
Club Express: free membership

Excellent outbound timing for a city break.

The early departure is the main weakness, although you are back in Dublin before 10:00.
Iberia Express normally offers two nonstop flights per day in each direction on this route.
Fare proof
Outstanding — a very complete sub-€75 city-break fare. Nonstop flights, a useful 10 kg cabin bag and free Club Express member savings make this excellent value.

For the 10–16 February 2027 reference trip you have 6 nights, which is more than enough for Madrid itself. For most first-time visitors, 3–4 nights in Madrid is ideal, then use the extra time for places such as Toledo, Segovia, Seville, Valencia or even Portugal.
How many nights should you spend in Madrid?
Three nights is enough for the historic centre, Retiro, one major museum, tapas and a proper evening out. Four nights is my preferred length because you can slow the pace down and still add neighbourhoods such as Malasaña, Chueca or Salamanca. With the 6-night reference itinerary, I would probably keep 4 nights in Madrid and use the remaining time for a day trip or second Spanish city.

Booking.com → Trivago comparison workflow
The goal is not to chase the lowest number blindly. First find the hotel you actually want on Booking.com, then compare it on Trivago. If another portal is cheaper, make sure every important condition really matches before paying.
Choose the Madrid area, dates and hotel that genuinely suits your trip.
Check bed setup, breakfast, cancellation, taxes and payment timing.
Search the same hotel and dates to see whether another portal is cheaper.
Do not compare a flexible breakfast rate with a cheaper non-refundable room-only rate.
Only switch portal if the final price and conditions are genuinely better.
The exact checks to make before booking
Dino note: if the difference is tiny, I would usually favour the portal or hotel rate with the clearer cancellation policy and better customer support rather than saving a couple of euros.
Where to go next from Madrid
Dino rule: do not add another city just because you can. If the train or flight schedule wastes most of a day, keep Madrid as the base and do Toledo or Segovia instead.

GetYourGuide ideas
Use GetYourGuide to compare Prado tickets, food tours, flamenco shows, Royal Palace tours, Toledo excursions and Segovia day trips. I would normally book only the experiences where a timed ticket or guide genuinely improves the day.
