Pisa
from £76 return
About this deal
I found Manchester to Pisa for £76 return with Jet2 on several October dates.
The useful bit is that Jet2 already includes a 10 kg cabin bag plus an under-seat bag,
so the price is much more complete than it first looks.
You can sometimes find a cheaper Ryanair base fare in October, but if you want to bring a regular
cabin-size bag onboard I was seeing at least around £40 return extra.
Once that is added, this Jet2 option becomes very competitive.
I would pick 10–16 October from the dates I checked because the schedule is better:
12:40–16:10 outbound and 10:30–12:05 return, both direct.
The 5 October departures were also £76, but I prefer the overall timings on the 10th.
Six nights also gives you a nice amount of time to combine Pisa and Florence
rather than treating Pisa as a one-stop city break.

Why I like this one
You arrive in Pisa on 10 October and fly home on 16 October. That works particularly well if you want to see both Pisa and Florence.
There are cheaper Ryanair base fares on some October dates, but if you want a regular cabin-size bag you need to add at least around £40 return from the prices I checked. I would compare the final price with baggage, not just the first number you see.
Booking options
This is the option I would take if the price is still there. The fare already includes a 10 kg cabin bag plus an under-seat bag, and Skyscanner was showing booking directly with Jet2.
Check 10–16 October →I found lower Ryanair base fares on some October dates, but a regular cabin-size bag can add at least around £40 return. If you need that bag, compare the final total with Jet2's £76 rather than the base fare alone.
Compare on Skyscanner →All five were showing at £76 return when checked. The two trips leaving on 10 October have the better overall schedule.
I like this one because the £76 price already includes useful cabin baggage. The direct flights are easy, the 10 October schedule is good, and it works nicely for a Pisa + Florence trip. Ryanair can show a lower starting price, but the comparison changes once you add a normal cabin-size bag.

Pisa + Florence hotel guide
The 10–16 October trip gives you 6 hotel nights. I would not spend all six in Pisa. A practical split is 1 night in Pisa after arrival + 5 nights in Florence, especially with the 10:30 flight home.
Florence is usually the more expensive part of this trip, especially if you want to stay central. I would book a good-value room with free cancellation once the flights are sorted, keep Karma active, and recheck later rather than waiting for a perfect price.
💰 Dino hotel booking method
In Florence, a cheaper room far outside the centre can cost you time every day. In Pisa, being near the station can be useful if you are moving on quickly.
Once you find a hotel you like, let Karma check whether another seller is offering the same room for less.
Compare the final price and conditions. I would not give up free cancellation just to save a few euros.
⏳ How I would split the 6 nights
You land at 16:10, so I would keep the first evening easy: check in, eat, walk around the centre and see the Leaning Tower area without rushing.
That gives you enough time for the main sights, neighbourhoods, food and one slower day without turning the trip into a checklist.
No need to move hotels again. There are frequent train and bus connections between Florence and Pisa Airport, so I would keep the final night in Florence and travel to the airport on departure day.
It avoids an unnecessary hotel change, gives Florence the time it deserves, and still keeps Pisa easy on arrival day.
📍 Best areas to stay
Best if you want the nicest evening in Pisa rather than just using the city as an airport stop. Walkable for restaurants, the river and the main sights.
Less romantic, but very practical if you are arriving, leaving or taking the train to Florence. Good for a short first or final night.
Very practical for the train from Pisa and still walkable to the historic centre. A strong choice if you do not want to drag luggage across the city.
My pick if you want more atmosphere and restaurants away from the busiest tourist streets. Still central, but it feels more lived-in in the evening.
🌎 What else fits into the trip
Very easy from Pisa and one of the nicest additions if you want a slower Tuscan town rather than another major city.
Beautiful, but I would treat it as a full day from Florence rather than trying to squeeze it into a transfer day.
A good option if you want one countryside day. This is the kind of trip where an organised tour can actually be useful if you do not want to drive.
Possible from Pisa, but October weather matters. I would only add it if the forecast is good and you are happy with a longer day.
⚠️ Pisa + Florence practical tips
Pisa and Florence are straightforward to combine by rail, so I would not rent a car just for these two cities.
Hotel and restaurant prices are generally the bigger budget hit in Florence. Pisa is easier to keep reasonable.
Italy is one place where I am perfectly happy taking a room-only rate and having coffee and breakfast outside, unless the hotel breakfast is genuinely good value.
For this trip I would stay in Florence until the end and use the frequent train or bus connections to Pisa Airport on departure morning.
I would keep most of the trip independent, but Florence museum tickets, a Tuscany day trip or a food tour can be worth booking in advance if the dates line up.
