Why this scores 9.6
The May reference is the version Dino would promote. You pay only a few euros more than the cheapest winter dates, but travel in a far more attractive season with 6 nights and excellent first-day / last-day utilisation.
1. No checked bag on Economy Light.
2. Aircraft can change. The reference flights are shown with an A319.
3. Some winter dates are less attractive. The fare is still excellent, but the May combination is the strongest complete trip.
Excellent availability from November 2026 through June 2027. The 5–11 May combination is the Dino reference because the season and schedule make it the best complete trip.
Dino Elite — exceptional value for a European city break. Sub-€90 return pricing, nonstop flights, 8 kg cabin baggage, excellent May timings, 6 nights in Belgrade and extremely broad availability make this very hard to fault.

For the 5–11 May 2027 reference trip, you have 6 nights. That is more than enough to enjoy Belgrade without rushing, and it also gives you room to add Novi Sad, another part of Serbia, or even a second country if you want a bigger trip.
Search hotels in Belgrade
Find a hotel you genuinely like on Booking.com, then do one final comparison on Trivago. Always compare the same dates, guest count, room type, breakfast, cancellation policy, taxes and payment conditions. A cheaper headline price is not a saving if the conditions are worse.
Best areas to stay in Belgrade
Belgrade is a large city, but most first-time sightseeing is concentrated around the central districts. Staying centrally makes it much easier to walk between cafés, restaurants, Kalemegdan, Knez Mihailova, Skadarlija and the riverfront.
How many nights in Belgrade?
Three nights is enough for the main sights if you move efficiently. Four nights is my preferred length because it gives you time for the city, restaurants, nightlife and a slower final day without turning the trip into a checklist. Five or six nights still works if you enjoy nightlife, food and slower travel, but with the Air Serbia reference trip I would probably use part of the stay for another destination.
Where to go next in Serbia
Novi Sad
My first choice. A completely different pace from Belgrade, attractive historic centre and easy to combine with the capital.
Niš
Good if you want another Serbian city with history, food and a more local feel. Better as an overnight stay than a rushed day trip.
Zlatibor / western Serbia
Useful if you want nature and mountain scenery rather than another city. Makes more sense with at least two nights.
Zemun
If you do not want another hotel, spend half a day or an evening here for the Danube promenade, restaurants and old-town atmosphere.
If you want to add another country
With six nights, adding another country can work, but only if the transport is clean and the schedule does not eat half the trip. If you go overland into the Schengen area, allow extra time for border controls.
Budapest, Hungary
A natural pairing with Belgrade if you want two very different capitals in one trip. Check current rail / bus options and border time before committing.
Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina
Excellent cultural contrast, but transport is slower than the map suggests. Better if you can give it at least two or three nights.
Skopje, North Macedonia
Another affordable Balkan capital and a reasonable second-country option if the timetable works well.
Montenegro
Better if you want scenery and coastline rather than another capital. With only six nights, I would add it only if you find an efficient flight or transfer.
Dino rule: do not add a second country just to collect another flag. If you lose a full day to awkward transport, stay in Serbia and use the extra time for Novi Sad instead.
Dangers, precautions & what not to do
Most visitors have a straightforward trip. The main issues worth planning around are petty theft, taxi overcharging, protests / large gatherings and late-night trouble around some nightlife or sporting events. Keep the advice practical rather than paranoid.
Emergency numbers: police 192 · ambulance 194 · fire 193. Check current official travel advice again shortly before departure because local conditions can change.
Things to do in Belgrade
Compare current city tours, food experiences, river cruises, historical walks and day trips below. For a six-night stay, I would normally book one or two structured experiences and leave the rest of the city flexible.
