Well-rated 4 and 5-star hotels can easily cost around €300 per night or more, especially when booking recognised international brands, central locations or properties aimed primarily at business travellers.
Travellers looking for better value may still find privately owned apartments and guest accommodation from approximately €40 per night. These options can significantly reduce the total trip cost, although standards, services and neighbourhood quality may vary more widely than at conventional hotels.
Before booking a lower-priced apartment, check the exact location, recent guest reviews, security arrangements, air conditioning, electricity and water reliability, Wi-Fi quality, airport-transfer options and whether the displayed total includes cleaning fees or deposits.
For travellers planning to explore more of Angola, it may be sensible to spend only two nights in Luanda before continuing elsewhere.
