For such a small difference, I would strongly consider booking directly with IndiGo.

The main weakness is seasonality.
September can be green and atmospheric, but it is not peak dry-season Goa.
On the outbound Trip.com itinerary, the booking screen warns that you may need to
collect your baggage and re-check it in Mumbai.
A 2-hour connection is not especially generous when immigration,
customs and baggage formalities are involved.
The direct IndiGo proof shows an alternative outbound schedule with a longer Mumbai transit.
Compare the exact connection before booking rather than selecting only on price.

The reference flight gives you 12 hotel nights in Goa, and I would seriously consider splitting them evenly: 6 nights in North Goa + 6 nights in South Goa. This gives you two very different sides of the state without changing hotels every couple of days.
September is still low season, so hotel prices can be surprisingly attractive even for higher-category properties. For the first 6 nights, our pick is Chalston Beach Resort in Calangute, a beachfront 4-star resort with an excellent location, strong guest reviews, breakfast included on the displayed rate, two swimming pools and a very practical base for exploring North Goa.
North and South Goa feel different enough that a split stay makes sense. The north is better if you want more restaurants, nightlife and a busier beach scene; the south is the better second half if you want quieter beaches, more space and a slower finish.
Stay around Calangute / Candolim / Baga and use it for beaches, Panjim, Old Goa, Fort Aguada and the livelier side of the state.
Move south for a calmer second half. Palolem / Agonda is ideal if you want a more scenic beach base, while Benaulim / Cavelossim can be easier for higher-category resorts.
If nightlife and restaurants matter more, keep 7 nights in the north. If beach relaxation is the priority, reverse it and give South Goa the longer stay.
For the first half of the reference trip, our choice is Chalston Beach Resort in Calangute, North Goa. The property is listed as a 4-star beachfront resort and sits in one of the most practical areas for a first stay in North Goa.
The attached Booking.com listing shows a strong 8.9/10 guest rating from more than 450 reviews, together with an excellent 9.4 location score. That location is one of the main reasons this property caught our attention.
Calangute gives you easy access to the well-known Calangute-Baga beach belt, restaurants, nightlife and the wider attractions of North Goa. The resort itself offers a much calmer environment than simply booking a room in the middle of the busiest streets, with landscaped grounds and direct access towards the beach.
For 18-24 September 2026, the attached search showed a family room from around €400 for 6 nights, including taxes and charges. The displayed rate included continental breakfast and was marked non-refundable.
Based on two adults sharing, that works out at approximately €200 per person for all 6 nights, or roughly €33 per person per night. A deluxe room was also displayed from around €506 for 6 nights.
Facilities shown in the listing include two swimming pools, spa and wellness centre, fitness centre, restaurant, bar, room service, free Wi-Fi and free private parking. The hotel also has its own beachside restaurant serving local and international food.
This is not necessarily the absolute cheapest way to stay in North Goa, but in low season the combination of a 4-star beachfront setting, breakfast, excellent location and strong reviews makes it a very appealing value choice for the first six nights.

With 12 nights available, I would choose two bases rather than staying in one place. North Goa gives you the more energetic side of the trip, while South Goa is better for slowing down.
Use the first part of the trip to enjoy the busier North Goa beach belt, restaurants and evening atmosphere without having to travel far from the hotel.
Keep at least one day away from the beach for Panjim and Goa's historic churches and Portuguese-era heritage.
An easy North Goa outing that combines one of the area's best-known historic sites with another coastal stop.
Use the final six nights differently: fewer scheduled activities, longer beach days and time around Palolem, Agonda, Benaulim or whichever South Goa base you choose.
After six nights around Calangute, I would move south rather than changing to another North Goa beach. South Goa offers a noticeably quieter atmosphere and makes the second half of the trip feel like a different holiday.
