Hong Kong
from €384 return
About this deal
€384 return from Brussels to Hong Kong with only one stop each way is a very strong long-haul price.
Juneyao Airlines routes the trip through Shanghai Pudong, with short, practical connections rather than
the 8–12 hour airport waits that sometimes appear on the cheapest China routings.
The reference trip is 2–10 December 2026. The outbound connection in Shanghai is approximately
2h50 and the return connection approximately 2h30.
The main compromise is timing: the homebound long-haul sector leaves Shanghai at
01:35, which is efficient but not especially comfortable.
The fare is booked through Mytrip via Skyscanner Belgium.
No airline-direct booking option was showing through Skyscanner when checked.
That is not unusual with some Chinese international fares, but it does reduce the booking score compared with a deal
that can be purchased directly from the operating airline.

Juneyao Airlines · 1 stop in Shanghai Pudong
HO1660 · Brussels 11:10 → Shanghai 05:05+1
Connection: approximately 2h50
HO1305 · Shanghai 07:55 → Hong Kong 10:55
Total journey: approximately 16h45.
The timing is efficient: the long-haul flight leaves Brussels late morning,
the Shanghai connection is short but sensible, and you reach Hong Kong before lunch.
Juneyao Airlines · 1 stop in Shanghai Pudong
HO1292 · Hong Kong 20:35 → Shanghai 23:05
Connection: approximately 2h30
HO1659 · Shanghai 01:35+1 → Brussels 06:55
Total journey: approximately 17h20.
The connection itself is good, but the 01:35 departure from Shanghai is the main comfort penalty.
It avoids a long layover, but this is very much a “sleep whenever you can” return journey.

Why this works + what to watch
At €384 return, the most impressive part is not simply the headline price.
It is the fact that the itinerary still keeps to one stop each way with
short Shanghai connections.
A lot of sub-€400 Asia fares become much less attractive once you discover two stops,
self-transfers or an all-day layover. This one stays relatively clean:
approximately 16h45 outbound and 17h20 return.
1. The return timing is rough:
the long-haul flight from Shanghai leaves at 01:35.
Efficient? Yes. Comfortable? Not especially.
2. No airline-direct option was shown:
the reference fare is booked with Mytrip via Skyscanner Belgium.
That means any ticket changes or irregular-operation support may involve the seller rather than dealing only with Juneyao.
3. Chinese-carrier support can be less straightforward internationally:
this is one reason some travellers may actually prefer a large international booking platform rather than trying to resolve an issue through unfamiliar airline support channels.
Still, always understand who owns the ticket and who you contact if something goes wrong.
4. Confirm baggage before payment:
Juneyao publishes standard international economy allowances, but the exact allowance attached to an OTA fare should always be checked on the final booking page.

No direct Juneyao booking option was showing through Skyscanner when checked.
Before paying, verify that the itinerary remains on one ticket,
confirm the baggage allowance on every sector and take screenshots of the final fare rules.
With any OTA booking, I would also avoid optional extras unless you genuinely need them.
Six useful combinations were found around late November and December. The 2–10 December itinerary is the Dino reference because it gives a practical 8-night stay with the clean one-stop schedule.
Excellent value, especially because the routing stays simple. The fare is cheap, the Shanghai connections are short and there is only one stop each way. The late-night return timing and OTA-only booking are the two things keeping this comfortably below 9/10.

If you want a proper full-service hotel on Hong Kong Island without automatically paying the highest Central / Admiralty prices, Harbour Grand Hong Kong is worth putting on the shortlist. It is at 23 Oil Street, North Point, beside Fortress Hill MTR, which makes the location much more useful than the “3.5 km from centre” label may initially suggest.
The Booking.com result shown has a strong 8.5/10 guest score from 8,211 reviews, with 8.9 for comfort. The sample room is a Superior King or Twin Room with Harbour View.
The big advantage here is the combination of 5-star facilities + harbour views + useful MTR access. Fortress Hill is on the Island Line, so Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Admiralty and Central are straightforward to reach. The hotel's own location information places it only a short walk from Fortress Hill Station, Exit A.
Booking.com: €1,011
Karma → Expedia: €901
Potential saving: €110
I am used to starting hotel searches on Booking.com, and that is still a perfectly good way to shortlist properties. The difference here is that I would not pay immediately. Use the comparison tool first, because the same hotel may be surfaced at a noticeably lower rate elsewhere.
The black-and-yellow K shown in the comparison is the Karma browser extension. Install it before starting your hotel search so it can check alternative prices while you browse.
Use the Dino Booking.com link below and search Harbour Grand Hong Kong with your exact dates and number of guests. Then select the room category and conditions you actually want.
In this sample, Booking.com displayed €1,011 while Karma surfaced an Expedia option at €901 — more than €100 less.
If the lower Expedia rate still appears, click through from Karma itself. Do not simply open a fresh Expedia window, because the referral price may disappear.
If you do not want to use a browser extension, search the same hotel on Trivago. This particular lower Expedia offer can also be surfaced through a hotel-comparison search.
Confirm the same dates, room type, harbour view, bed type, breakfast, cancellation, taxes and payment conditions. A cheaper number is only useful when the booking terms are truly comparable.
Hong Kong's MTR and ferry network is so good that you do not need to stay in the absolute geographical centre. I would choose the area based on price, nightlife and the type of Hong Kong experience you want.
Hong Kong Island, Victoria Peak, Central, Star Ferry, Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, one proper food-focused evening and enough time to enjoy the city rather than race through a checklist.
Lantau, the Big Buddha, Tai O, Dragon's Back or another countryside / island day gives a completely different view of Hong Kong.
If your passport qualifies for visa-free mainland entry, Shenzhen is the obvious add-on. It is close enough to make a day trip possible, although one overnight gives you a much less rushed introduction.
Yes — particularly Shenzhen. Hong Kong and mainland China feel very different, and this itinerary already routes through Shanghai. If you have never visited mainland China, adding Shenzhen gives the trip another dimension without requiring another flight.
Hong Kong has low violent-crime levels, so this is not a destination where I would scare people away from travelling.
The more realistic tourist problems are pickpocketing and street theft in crowded areas,
plus simply losing track of belongings on busy MTR trains and markets.
The more unusual caution is legal rather than street-crime related:
Hong Kong's national-security laws are broad and apply to visitors as well.
Avoid demonstrations, political activism and confrontational political commentary while travelling.
Also remember that CBD and cannabis products are illegal in Hong Kong — do not bring them in your luggage.
For hiking, stick to marked trails and carry water. Hong Kong can feel completely urban until you are suddenly on an exposed mountain trail.
