Taipei
from €347 returnAbout this deal
A very strong full-service Economy fare from Brussels to Taipei with Air China from €347 return.
The reference trip is 2–19 December 2026, with one stop in Beijing each way. The outbound takes 16h40 with a 3h25 connection, while the return takes 18h55 with a 4h10 connection.
The fare includes 23 kg checked baggage, which makes the price particularly strong for a full-service long-haul ticket.
The lowest verified reference fare is sold by lastminute.com via Skyscanner Malta. Air China was also showing a direct-airline option at about €377 on the same search, so it is worth comparing the final totals before paying.
I prepared eight useful date combinations from late November through December.

A €347 return fare from Brussels to Taipei is excellent for a full-service long-haul ticket. Add 23 kg checked baggage, one-stop protected routing each way and a strong December travel window, and the deal becomes particularly interesting.
The lowest verified reference price is through lastminute.com via Skyscanner Malta. Check the final baggage allowance, fare conditions and total before paying. Air China was about €377 direct when checked, so compare the final gap if you prefer booking directly with the airline.

The reference proof is for 2–19 December 2026 at €347 return. The fare includes 23 kg checked baggage. Use the prepared Skyscanner Malta link, then re-check the final total before payment.
CHECK 02 DEC – 19 DEC →The airline-direct price was only around €30 more on the reference search. If that gap remains small when you book, paying a little more to deal directly with Air China may be worthwhile.
Availability is useful rather than huge. I prepared eight combinations from late November through December. The 2–19 December trip is the reference fare used for the proof.
Eight prepared combinations give this fare a reasonable spread from late November to mid-December, although it is still a concentrated seasonal window rather than open availability across many months.
A very strong full-service long-haul fare with 23 kg checked baggage included. The price, one-stop routing and December seasonality are the main strengths. Availability is decent but concentrated into a relatively short late-November/December window.

Taipei hotel playbook
The reference Air China itinerary reaches Taipei at 11:40 on 3 December 2026 and leaves at 18:45 on 19 December. For the reference trip, book the hotel from 3 December to 19 December, giving you 16 hotel nights in Taiwan. Tell the hotel in advance that you will arrive after midnight so the booking is not treated as a no-show.
For a 16-night Taiwan trip, I would secure a well-rated refundable hotel once the price and location make sense. Keep monitoring the same dates afterwards. If a better-value property or a lower rate appears before the cancellation deadline, confirm the replacement first and only then cancel the original booking.

💰 Dino hotel booking method
Choose a well-rated property near the part of Taipei you actually want to use and prioritise free cancellation. With 16 nights, easy MRT access and a practical neighbourhood are worth more than chasing the absolute lowest nightly price.
Re-check the same dates periodically. If the same hotel drops or a stronger property appears for less, compare the exact room and conditions. Confirm the replacement before cancelling your backup.
Use Karma and Trivago as extra checks. Compare taxes, breakfast, cancellation terms, room size and airport transport costs. For this itinerary, use 3 December as the hotel check-in date and 19 December as check-out.
🌙 How many hotel nights?
Check in: 3 December 2026.
Check out: 19 December 2026.
The flight lands at 11:40 on 3 December, so a normal same-day hotel check-in is fine. The return leaves at 18:45 on 19 December, so there is no reason to pay for an extra hotel night at the end.
Message the property before travelling and explain that you will arrive after midnight on 9 November. This protects the booking from being treated as a no-show.
The return leaves at 06:20, so the night of 22 November is still required. Plan to leave the hotel roughly 3 hours before departure, depending on your location and transfer.
📍 Best areas to stay
Taipei Main Station / ZhongzhengMy default choice for a first visit if transport convenience matters most. You have excellent MRT and rail connections, easy airport access and a practical base for day trips.
ZhongshanA strong all-round base with restaurants, cafes, shopping and very good MRT connections. Often feels calmer than Ximending while still being central.
XimendingBest if you want energy, late-night food, shopping and lots happening outside the hotel. It is very convenient, but expect a busier and more tourist-heavy atmosphere.
Da’an / XinyiGood for a more polished stay, easy access to Taipei 101, restaurants and nightlife, and a comfortable city feel. Usually not the cheapest area, but very convenient.
🌎 How I would use the two-week trip
Give Taipei enough time for neighbourhoods, night markets, museums, hot springs and several easy day trips. With 16 nights available, I would not keep the entire stay in one city unless you specifically want a slow urban trip.
High-speed rail makes it easy to combine Taipei with Taichung, Tainan or Kaohsiung. A two-centre or three-centre itinerary gives the trip much more variety without complicated logistics.
Because the return flight leaves Taipei at 18:45, you do not need an airport hotel, but I would avoid a long cross-island journey on departure day. Spend the final night in Taipei or somewhere with a simple rail connection back.
The 00:05 arrival and 06:20 departure are the awkward parts. Solve those with sensible hotel timing rather than trying to save one room night and starting or ending the holiday exhausted.
🗺️ Where to go next
A 16-night trip gives you plenty of time to use Taipei as the starting point rather than the whole holiday. Taiwan is easy to combine by rail, so these are natural next stops.
TaichungAn easy rail add-on for food, neighbourhoods and access to central Taiwan. Works well for 2–3 nights between Taipei and the south.
TainanOne of the best choices if you want temples, historic streets and a strong food scene. Give it at least 2–3 nights rather than treating it as a rushed day trip.
KaohsiungA warmer southern-city contrast to Taipei with waterfront areas, art districts and easy access to more of southern Taiwan.
Jiufen / north-coast day tripIf you prefer not to change hotels, keep Taipei as your base and use a day for Jiufen, the north coast or another nearby scenic stop.
⚠️ Dangers + what to look out for
Taipei is generally an easy city to navigate, but hotel location, room size, weather and normal travel precautions still matter. The cheapest room is not necessarily good value if it leaves you far from an MRT station or in a tiny room for a long stay.
After a midnight arrival, use an official airport option, recognised ride-hailing service or a pre-arranged hotel transfer. Avoid accepting vague offers from drivers approaching you inside or outside the terminal.
For a 16-night stay, being close to an MRT station is worth paying a little more for. Check the walking route, not just the straight-line distance shown on the map.
Use normal large-city precautions in busy streets, markets, public transport and nightlife areas. Keep passports, wallets and phones secure and avoid displaying valuables unnecessarily.
Check whether the property requires a card deposit, cash deposit or payment on arrival. Make sure the final total and refund conditions are clear before booking.
November can still bring heavy rain or tropical-weather disruption. Keep some flexibility in domestic flights and island plans, especially if your trip depends on ferries or small-airport connections.
Some central Taipei rooms are compact. Check the actual square metres, window situation and luggage space before booking a long stay rather than judging only by photos.
Some central areas are much noisier at night than the hotel map suggests. Read recent reviews for street noise, nightlife, construction and room soundproofing.
Watch for repeated complaints about cleanliness, air-conditioning, hot water, Wi-Fi, surprise charges, misleading photos or unreliable airport transfers.
🛡️ Practical booking notes
For a long stay, flexibility matters. If the refundable rate is only modestly more expensive, I would usually take it and keep monitoring rather than lock into a non-refundable room months ahead.
Fourteen nights magnifies even small nightly changes. Keep the original booking as your safety net and compare again before the cancellation deadline.
Check the same room type, breakfast, guest count, cancellation policy, taxes, payment timing and any deposits. A lower headline rate may not be the cheaper total stay.
The return leaves Taipei at 18:45, so there is no need for an airport hotel. Still, avoid a long cross-island transfer on the same afternoon and keep the final night somewhere with an easy route back to Taoyuan Airport.
Keep this part simple: use organised activities when transport or local knowledge genuinely adds value, then leave plenty of free time for food, neighbourhoods and day trips.
