Taipei
from €469 return
About this deal
This is a very strong price for Bucharest to Taipei with Air China, with fares around €469–€476 return through Lastminute and Mytrip via Skyscanner.
The reference itinerary is 20 November – 10 December 2026, giving you 19 hotel nights in Taiwan. The main compromise is the journey itself: the outbound has a 5h40 connection in Beijing and the return has a 7h20 connection, so this is very much a deal for travellers who value the low fare more than a fast routing.
If you prefer dealing directly with the airline, Air China was also available at €503 return from the vendor list on Skyscanner. That is only around €27–€34 more than the OTA range, so I think the direct-airline option deserves serious consideration.
Sellers: Lastminute / Mytrip
Airline direct: €503 with Air China
Routing: 1 stop each way via Beijing
Baggage: checked baggage included
Destination stay: 19 hotel nights
Typical flight schedule
Air China · 1 stop in Beijing
OTP 16:25 → PEK 08:15+1
5h40 connection
PEK 13:55 → TPE 17:20
Total journey: 18h55. The Taipei arrival is nicely timed, but the long Beijing connection is the price you pay for the low fare.
Air China · 1 stop in Beijing
TPE 13:15 → PEK 16:45
7h20 connection
PEK 00:05+1 → OTP 05:15+1
Total journey: 22h00. This is the weakest part of the deal: the return layover is long and the Bucharest arrival is early.
Baggage + fare details
Getting to Taiwan from Europe for under €500 return is excellent. The catch is clear: 5h40 in Beijing outbound and 7h20 on the return. If you are comfortable trading time for price, the reference trip gives you a very generous 19-night stay.
Availability is limited. I found only five prepared combinations, all concentrated in November and early December 2026. This is not one of those fares with endless date flexibility, so recheck quickly if your dates work.

TPETaipeiBooking options
These are the fares used for the deal. The saving versus the airline-direct option is real, but not huge, so check seller terms, baggage and support conditions carefully before payment.
Check the live OTA fare →For only around €27–€34 more than the OTA range, booking directly with Air China is very attractive if you prefer the operating airline to be your point of contact for changes or disruption.
Open fare and select Air China →Availability is the main weakness here. I found 5 prepared combinations, all concentrated between mid-November and early December 2026. Prices were generally around €469–€476 return.
Excellent airfare, but the long Beijing layovers and narrow availability keep this below the top tier. Taiwan for €469–€476 return is genuinely strong, and the Air China direct-booking option at €503 is especially attractive. The compromise is time: the reference trip includes 5h40 and 7h20 connections in Beijing.

Taipei hotel playbook
The reference itinerary gives you 19 hotel nights in Taiwan, arriving in Taipei on 21 November 2026 and flying home on 10 December 2026. I would not automatically book all 19 nights in one Taipei hotel. For a first visit, 4–5 nights in Taipei is a very comfortable starting point, then use the rest for Taiwan itself or a short separate trip to another country before returning to Taipei for the long-haul flight home.
Start with the neighbourhood and MRT access, compare the final price for the same room and cancellation terms, then keep Karma switched on while browsing to see whether the same stay is cheaper elsewhere.
💰 Dino hotel booking method
Pick the neighbourhood and MRT access that fit your trip, then shortlist hotels with strong recent reviews.
Leave Karma active while browsing Booking.com so it can compare prices in the background.
If Karma finds nothing useful, do one final like-for-like comparison before paying.
⏳ How many nights in Taipei?
Enough for the city highlights, one night market and a quick day trip if you keep moving.
A very good first visit with time for Taipei 101, temples, food, neighbourhoods and one excursion.
The best balance for a slower city stay plus Jiufen/Shifen, Beitou or another full-day outing.
Great if you want a slow trip, but with a 19-night itinerary I would start moving around Taiwan or add another country.
📍 Best areas to stay in Taipei
Lively, central and easy for a first visit, with food, shopping and excellent transport close by.
Stylish but practical, with cafés, shopping, good MRT links and easy access to Taipei Main Station.
A calmer neighbourhood with parks, restaurants and a more residential feel while still being well connected.
Best for rail connections, airport access and travellers planning several day trips or onward journeys around Taiwan.
🚀 Where to go after Taipei — 4 easy country add-ons
Japan 🇯🇵
Osaka, Fukuoka or Tokyo are easy additions from Taipei. Allow roughly 4–6 nights if you want the extra flight to feel worthwhile.
South Korea 🇰🇷
Seoul or Busan work very well for 3–5 nights and give you a completely different food, nightlife and city experience.
Vietnam 🇻🇳
Hanoi, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City are strong-value additions with cheaper hotels and food than Taipei. Aim for at least 4–5 nights.
Philippines 🇵🇭
Manila is an easy gateway, but the real reward is adding beach time in Cebu, Palawan or Boracay if you have 5–7 nights spare.
📌 If you stay in Taiwan — easy domestic extensions
Taiwan's historic food capital is a great 2–3 night stop and very easy to reach by high-speed rail.
A relaxed southern city with harbour areas, night markets and easy onward access to Kenting.
Best for scenery and the east coast. Check local access conditions before planning mountain or gorge excursions.
Good for a slower 1–2 night break between the major cities if you want landscapes rather than another urban stop.
⚠️ Taipei survival kit
Expect a much milder trip than summer, but occasional rain and cooler evenings are normal — bring a light layer and compact umbrella.
Taipei public transport is excellent. A hotel near a useful MRT station can save a lot of time and taxi money.
It makes MRT, buses, local trains and many small purchases much easier from the moment you arrive.
The Taoyuan Airport MRT is usually the simplest way into the city; check whether express or commuter service suits your stop better.
Taipei 101, Jiufen, Shifen, food tours, Beitou and northern-coast day trips — browse first, then book only what genuinely improves your trip.
