Honolulu
from €680 return
About this deal
Frankfurt to Honolulu for €680 return is a strong Hawaii fare, especially because the
Condor Economy Classic fare includes a 23 kg checked bag, 8 kg hand baggage,
a standard meal, soft drinks and seatback entertainment.
But the cheapest itinerary is not the one I would book. The €680 option on 22 Oct – 7 Nov 2026
has a very long 8h34 return connection in Seattle. For only about €30 more,
the 22 Oct – 2 Nov 2026 itinerary cuts the return connection to 2h57 and
shortens the return journey to around 19 hours.
That is why the €710 itinerary is the Dino recommendation. It also means fewer nights on the ground in Hawaii,
where accommodation and daily costs can easily outweigh a €30 airfare saving.
Dino recommended: 22 Oct – 2 Nov 2026
Recommended price: around €710 return
Routing: 1 stop each way
Checked baggage: 1 × 23 kg
Hand baggage: 1 × 8 kg
Recommended flight schedule
Condor + Alaska Airlines · 1 stop
Frankfurt 11:40 → San Francisco 14:30
5h18 connection in SFO
San Francisco 19:48 → Honolulu 22:18
Total journey time: about 22h38. This is the main weakness of the recommended itinerary.
Alaska Airlines + Condor · 1 stop
Honolulu 07:00 → Seattle 14:53
2h57 connection in SEA
Seattle 17:50 → Frankfurt 13:00+1
Total journey time: about 19 hours.
Fare proof: cheapest vs Dino recommended
The lowest fare we found was €679.98 return. It includes Economy Classic benefits, but the return has a punishing 8h34 connection in Seattle and a much longer overall trip.
Check cheapest fare →
Paying about €30 more cuts the Seattle return connection to 2h57, reduces the return journey to about 19 hours and gives you a more sensible 11-night Hawaii trip.
Check Dino recommended fare →Fares are dynamic. The €680 fare is the lowest headline price, but the €710 itinerary is the better complete-trip choice.
Economy Classic: what is included?
The Condor proof shows 1 × 23 kg checked baggage, 1 × 8 kg hand baggage, 1 standard meal, soft drinks and seatback entertainment. For a journey this long, those inclusions matter.
Why not simply take the €680 fare?
The €680 option saves only about €30 on the airfare, but it keeps you in Hawaii for roughly five additional nights and gives you an 8h34 return connection. Hotels, meals, car rental, parking and other Hawaii costs can easily wipe out that airfare saving. That is why Dino recommends the shorter €710 itinerary.
Booking options
The headline bargain. Economy Classic benefits are included, but you need to accept the 8h34 Seattle connection on the way home and a much longer stay.
Check €680 option →Spend about €30 more for a 2h57 Seattle connection, a 19-hour return journey and a more manageable 11-night trip.
Check Dino recommended fare →Hawaii is expensive on the ground. The longer €680 trip can easily cost more overall once you add five extra hotel nights, food and local transport. Unless you specifically want the longer holiday, I would take the €710 itinerary.
Availability is one of the weak points of this deal. The best prices are concentrated around a very small number of October/November combinations.
Very Good — expensive for Economy in isolation, but strong value for Hawaii. A €680–€710 ticket is not objectively cheap for Economy, but Frankfurt to Honolulu is an exceptionally long journey and fares around €900 or more are not unusual. The baggage and meal inclusions help, but scarce availability and long connections stop this from scoring higher.

Honolulu is one of those destinations where the hotel can easily cost more than the flight.
For a well-rated 4-star hotel around 8.5+, it is very normal to see roughly
€200–€250 per night or more in Waikiki.
For this trip, I would do something different: keep the first few nights practical, stay in a good location,
and save the bigger hotel budget for another part of Hawaii.
Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Waikiki is a simpler 3-star option with an
8.0/10 guest score, a very useful location between Waikiki and Ala Moana,
and importantly, no resort fee according to the hotel description shown.

Why Dino would pick this hotel for the first few nights
For Hawaii, I would rather spend money on the trip itself than automatically drop €250 a night on a Waikiki hotel.
The Ramada Plaza is not the sort of hotel I would book for a once-in-a-lifetime luxury stay,
but it makes sense as a comfortable, well-located landing base.
You are close enough to walk into Waikiki, but also near Ala Moana,
which is useful for shopping, food, transport and getting away from the most tourist-heavy part of Waikiki.
For the first 4–5 nights, that balance matters more to me than having a rooftop infinity pool or beachfront lobby.
How many nights should you stay in Honolulu?
On an 11-night Hawaii trip, I would not spend every night in Honolulu.
Keep roughly 4–5 nights here so you can recover from the long flight,
explore Waikiki, visit Pearl Harbor, see Diamond Head and spend a full day outside Honolulu.
Then move on. Hawaii becomes much more interesting once you stop treating Waikiki as the entire destination.
Dino note: if you want a beach-resort holiday without changing islands, you can also move from Waikiki to the North Shore or another quieter part of Oahu for the second half instead of taking another flight.

Where to go next after Honolulu
Inter-island planning: another island means another flight, another baggage check, airport time and usually a rental car. Do not turn an 11-night trip into a 4-island race. Two islands is enough.
Honolulu safety: dangers and things not to do
Honolulu is not a place I would describe as dangerous for the average visitor, but it is still a large American city rather than a sealed resort. Some parts of Honolulu have visible homelessness and public substance-use issues. That does not mean unhoused people are inherently dangerous, but it does mean you may encounter people in distress, particularly outside the polished Waikiki tourist core.

GetYourGuide is useful here for comparing Pearl Harbor visits, Oahu circle tours, snorkelling cruises, catamaran trips, North Shore excursions, helicopter flights and luaus. I would book only the experiences you really care about and leave some days flexible for weather.
