At first glance, £324 return from London to Bali with
23 kg checked baggage included is an exceptional headline
fare.
The outbound journey is particularly good for this price, with only
one short connection in Guangzhou.
The return journey requires more compromise. Depending on the date
combination, the Guangzhou connection can last approximately
7h45 to more than 11 hours, and some itineraries
return to a different London airport.
23 kg checked baggage included.
Total journey: 18h50.
LGW 21:50 → CAN 16:35 +1
1h55 connection in Guangzhou
CAN 18:30 → DPS 23:40
For a one-stop journey from London to Bali, this is a very good
schedule. The connection is short enough to avoid wasting a day
in transit without being an overnight stop.
Total journey: 25h40.
DPS 00:40 → CAN 05:55
7h45 connection in Guangzhou
CAN 13:40 → LHR 19:20
This is shorter than some of the other return combinations, but a
7h45 airport wait is still significant.
Some return combinations have a Guangzhou connection of around
11h20, producing a total journey approaching
29 hours.
A connection this long may create extra costs that are not visible in
the £324 headline fare.
Depending on your plans, you may end up paying for meals, lounge
access or even a day room or airport hotel simply to make the wait
more comfortable.
That is one of the main reasons this deal receives a lower Dino Score
despite the excellent ticket price.
Do not assume every combination returns to the same London airport.
The outbound flights shown depart from
London Gatwick (LGW), while some of the better return
combinations arrive at London Heathrow (LHR).
Other combinations return to Gatwick.
This matters particularly if you are parking at the airport,
arranging a pick-up or booking onward transport.
Always check the London airport codes on both the outbound and return
journeys before paying.
Mytrip displayed the lowest fares at approximately
£324-£330 return.
At this price the deal is extremely attractive, particularly
because 23 kg checked baggage is included.
As with any third-party booking, confirm the final total, passenger
details, baggage allowance and change or cancellation conditions
before payment.
Trip.com was displayed from approximately
£335 return.
That is only around £11 more than the lowest
Mytrip price.
We are keeping the £324 Mytrip fare as the headline because
it is the genuine lowest price found, while Trip.com provides
another option for travellers who prefer that booking platform.
Availability is one of the weaker parts of this deal.
We currently found only
two departure dates, 20 and 21 September, combined
with returns on 13 or 14 October.
That also means the Bali stay is roughly three weeks long, which will
be excellent for some travellers but simply too long for others.
A genuinely excellent Bali fare with full-service baggage, but the long return connection, narrow availability and long minimum stay prevent it from scoring higher.
At £324 return with 23 kg checked baggage, the fare itself is extremely attractive and the outbound schedule is genuinely good.
The return is the compromise. A 7h45 to 11h20 Guangzhou connection can mean additional food, lounge or even day-room costs, while total journey time can reach almost 29 hours.
Availability is also narrow. Only 20 and 21 September departures were identified, and the available returns result in a stay of roughly three weeks in Bali.
Finally, travellers need to pay close attention to the London airport. Some combinations depart from LGW and return to LHR, while others return to Gatwick.
The £324 Mytrip fare remains the lowest-price option, while Trip.com at approximately £335 is a useful secondary alternative.
Dino Score: 7.8/10.
A stay of around three weeks may initially look long, but Bali is not a
destination where you need to remain in one hotel.
In fact, this fare becomes much more interesting if you use the time to
split the holiday between several parts of Bali and
potentially add Lombok or the Gili Islands.
Bali's different regions offer very different experiences. Moving hotels several times is usually more practical than repeatedly travelling across the island from one base.
Ubud is an excellent base for temples, rice terraces, waterfalls,
countryside and the cultural side of Bali.
Staying several nights is much more relaxing than trying to visit
Ubud repeatedly on day trips from the coast.
Look at accommodation both in central Ubud and slightly outside
town if you prefer quieter surroundings.
Seminyak and Canggu suit travellers looking for restaurants,
cafes, bars, beach clubs and a more social atmosphere.
Seminyak generally feels more established, while Canggu has become
particularly popular for cafes, surfing and longer stays.
Traffic can be slow, so location matters more than the map may
initially suggest.
Uluwatu is a good contrast to the busier central coastal areas.
Expect cliffs, beaches, surf spots, sunsets and the famous Uluwatu
Temple.
This is particularly attractive toward the end of the trip when
you may want several slower beach days.
Sanur offers a quieter beachfront atmosphere and is useful before
or after trips to nearby islands.
It can also work well for travellers who prefer a more relaxed base
than Canggu or Seminyak.
If you only had one week in Bali, I would probably keep the trip
concentrated on Bali itself.
With around three weeks available, however, Lombok
becomes much easier to justify.
Lombok generally offers a different atmosphere from Bali, with less
intense development in many areas, scenic coastline, beaches and more
space to slow down.
You could spend approximately 4-5 nights in Lombok,
particularly around the southern part of the island, and then continue
back to Bali or combine Lombok with the Gili Islands.
The important point is not to make Lombok a rushed one-night side trip.
Transfers take time, so it makes more sense when you can allocate
several proper nights.
Better for travellers wanting a larger island to explore, beaches,
local towns, road trips and a change of pace from Bali.
Allow at least 4 nights if possible.
Better if your priority is several relaxed island days,
snorkelling, swimming and a simple break from Bali.
Around 3-4 nights can work very well.
Travellers who dislike changing hotels or dealing with boat
transfers can easily spend the entire trip within Bali.
The key is to divide the stay between several regions rather than
using one hotel for three weeks.
There is no perfect route, but this gives an idea of how the long stay can become an advantage rather than a disadvantage.
Recover from the flight, beaches, restaurants and nightlife.
Culture, rice terraces, temples, waterfalls and inland Bali.
A quieter island experience and several beach days.
Beaches, cliffs, sunsets and a slower pace.
Relax before returning to the airport.
Coastal start with restaurants and beach time.
Longer inland stay with several excursions.
Slower coastal atmosphere and access to another side of Bali.
Finish with beaches, cliffs and several relaxed days.
These dates sit around the transition from Bali's drier period toward
the wetter part of the year.
Conditions can still be very attractive, particularly earlier in the
trip, but rainfall and humidity may gradually increase as October
progresses.
This is another reason to favour
flexible accommodation where reasonably priced,
especially if part of the itinerary involves ferries or island stays.
Do not look at this fare and think you need to spend three weeks in one
Bali resort.
The long stay is actually one of the strengths of the deal if you use
it properly.
A combination of Ubud + one of the main coastal areas +
Uluwatu + Lombok or the Gili Islands creates a much more varied
holiday.
For travellers with almost three weeks available, I would personally
consider adding Lombok for around four or five nights.
If you prefer fewer transfers, staying entirely on Bali is also very
easy to justify because the island has enough variety to support
several completely different hotel bases.
Instead of searching for one hotel for the complete trip,
search each destination separately.
Compare Ubud, your preferred beach area and any Lombok or island stay,
then build the accommodation around the flight dates.
The suggested areas and stay lengths are intended as general trip-planning guidance for the longer Bali itineraries associated with this flight deal. Accommodation, ferries and internal transport are booked separately from the international flights. Hotel prices, ratings, transfer schedules, cancellation policies and availability can change. Always verify current arrangements before booking.
