Seychelles
from €519 return
About this deal
A very strong full-service fare from Madrid to the Seychelles with
Ethiopian Airlines, with just one connection in Addis Ababa
and an unusually generous 2 × 23 kg checked baggage allowance.
The cheapest option shown is around €519 return with Mytrip via Skyscanner.
Ethiopian Airlines was around €555 direct when checked — only
€36 more, so for this particular trip I would personally lean towards
booking directly with Ethiopian.
The reference combination is 26 November - 09 December 2026.
Because the outbound leaves Madrid at night and reaches Seychelles the following afternoon,
this gives you 12 actual hotel nights in Seychelles.

Fare proof
Mytrip via Skyscanner was the lowest option at approximately €519 return. This itinerary includes 2 × 23 kg checked baggage.
Check current price →Ethiopian Airlines was only about €36 more than Mytrip when checked. On a long-haul itinerary with a connection, that is a small enough difference that I would personally favour booking directly with the airline.
Compare Ethiopian direct →Why this fare works + important details
The combination of a €519–€555 return fare, one-stop protected routing, full-service Ethiopian Airlines flights and 2 × 23 kg checked baggage makes this particularly strong value for the Seychelles.
1. Early Madrid arrival: the return reaches Madrid at 05:25.
In practice, cabin preparation for landing will begin well before 05:00, so the final part of the overnight flight is unlikely to be restful.
2. Addis connections: the outbound connection is 3h30 and the return is 3h10.
They are protected connections but longer than ideal.
3. Hotel-night calculation: every date combination below deducts the first night spent on the outbound aircraft.
For example, 26 Nov - 09 Dec spans 13 calendar nights but gives you 12 actual hotel nights in Seychelles because you land on 27 November.
4. Booking choice: with Ethiopian direct only about €36 more, I would compare the final airline price before choosing the OTA.

Check Mytrip fare →Only around €36 more when checked. For a long-haul itinerary with an international connection, I consider that a worthwhile premium for dealing directly with the operating airline if anything changes.
Compare Ethiopian direct →The night spent flying from Madrid to Addis Ababa is not counted as a Seychelles hotel night. The figures below therefore show the actual number of nights you would need accommodation in Seychelles.
Excellent price, full-service airline and an exceptional 2 × 23 kg baggage allowance. The main weakness is the return schedule: the 05:25 Madrid arrival cuts into the final night's sleep, while the 3+ hour Addis Ababa connections are longer than ideal.

The reference Madrid–Seychelles itinerary gives you 12 actual hotel nights. That is enough time to do much more than stay on Mahé. For a first trip, I would combine Mahé + Praslin and visit La Digue as either a day trip or a short overnight stay.
Mahé is the main island, home to the international airport, Victoria and the widest choice of hotels. For most first-time visitors, Beau Vallon is the easiest all-round base.
or a short 1–2 night extension
- Mahé: around 7–8 nights total across the trip.
- Praslin: 3–4 nights is absolutely worthwhile.
- La Digue: easy day trip from Praslin, or stay 1–2 nights if you want a slower pace.
- Return to Mahé before the international departure day if your plan relies on ferries.
Is Praslin worth staying on?
Praslin is not just a day trip from Mahé. It has a much more relaxed island feel,
several of the Seychelles' signature beaches and the Vallée de Mai,
a UNESCO World Heritage palm forest.
For a 12-night holiday, I would strongly prefer spending 3–4 nights on Praslin
rather than commuting back and forth or trying to see it in one rushed day.
Mahé to Praslin — easiest options
You have two straightforward ways to move between Mahé and Praslin.
Should you stay on La Digue too?
If you want to keep the trip simple, visit La Digue as a day trip from Praslin.
If you prefer slower travel, staying 1–2 nights lets you enjoy the island before and after the day-tripper crowds.
La Digue is known for cycling, granite beaches and the famous Anse Source d'Argent.
I would only add an overnight stay if you are happy to make one more hotel change.
How to stay safer in the Seychelles
Seychelles is an easy destination for many travellers, but opportunistic theft and robberies can happen. Keep valuables in the hotel safe, avoid displaying expensive jewellery, and take extra care in isolated places after dark.
