Excellent Maldives value: Emirates quality, 25 kg baggage included, short Dubai connections and only a small premium to book direct.
A very strong Munich to Malé fare with Emirates and smooth Dubai connections
This is a very attractive fare from Munich to Malé, Maldives, with return flights from around €658 via OTA or around €673 directly on the Emirates website. For the Maldives, this is strong value, especially because the fare includes 25 kg checked baggage.
The routing is also very good. Both directions connect via Dubai, but the total journey times are reasonable at around 13 hours outbound and around 12h 25m on the return. These are smooth connection times for a long-haul Maldives trip and much better than many cheaper fares with awkward layovers.
The small difference between the OTA price and the airline website price is important. For around €15 more, booking directly with Emirates can be the better and safer option, especially for a premium holiday destination where support, ticket control and schedule changes matter.
The fare is around €658 via OTA or around €673 directly with Emirates. For such a small difference, Dino would strongly consider booking direct with the airline for better support, easier changes and fewer ticketing risks.
Best for: Maldives holidays, couples, honeymoon-style trips, resort stays and travellers who want a premium airline with smooth connections.
Less ideal for: travellers who only chase the absolute lowest OTA price, or anyone who wants a nonstop flight to Malé.

Where to stay in the Maldives: local island value or once-in-a-lifetime luxury
Accommodation in the Maldives can vary massively depending on the style of trip you want. At one end, you can find more affordable family-run guesthouses on local islands, which are ideal if you want to experience the Maldives without paying private-island resort prices. At the other end, there are the famous luxury resorts on private islands, with overwater villas, infinity pools, white-sand beaches and those once-in-a-lifetime Instagram views.
For a Maldives trip, the flight price is only one part of the total cost. Some luxury private-island resorts can easily cost €1,000 or more per night, especially if you choose an overwater villa, premium meal plan or high-end brand resort. If you want to keep the trip more affordable, compare local island stays, beach hotels and guesthouses as well as resorts.
One very important thing to check before booking is the transfer cost. Many Maldives resorts require a speedboat, domestic flight or seaplane transfer from Malé, and this can take a big slice of your budget. Always check whether the resort offers free or discounted transfers, or whether transfer fees are added separately after booking.
Dino’s tip: do not compare Maldives hotels only by nightly price. Check the full package carefully, including transfer costs, meal plan, taxes, service charges, island location and cancellation policy. A hotel that looks cheaper at first can become expensive once transfers and meals are added, while a resort with included extras may offer better real value.
Hotel prices and availability can change quickly. Always check the final dates, exact island location, reviews, taxes, service charges, meal plan, transfer costs, transfer times, beach quality and cancellation policy before booking.
