Vienna
from $600 return
About this deal
A very strong full-service Economy fare from New York JFK to Vienna with Condor from around $600–$650 return.
The reference trip is 4–15 November 2026. It is a protected one-stop itinerary each way, with the reference schedule showing JFK 16:25 → VIE 10:20+1 in 11h55 outbound and VIE 07:50 → JFK 14:05 in 12h15 on the return.
The fare is Economy Class Classic and includes both an 8 kg cabin bag and a 23 kg checked bag, which makes the $600 headline price much more meaningful than a basic fare that needs baggage added later.
I prepared 9 useful date combinations from mid-October through late November. The 16–26 November and 16–27 November options are particularly interesting for travellers wanting Vienna during the Christmas-market period.
Booking is directly on the Condor website. The buttons below intentionally send you to Condor rather than an OTA.

The reference total is $599.98 including taxes and fees. Because Economy Classic already includes 8 kg cabin baggage + 23 kg checked baggage, this is a much more complete fare than a cheaper-looking basic ticket that needs baggage added later.
The reference return leaves Vienna at 07:50. It is not an extreme overnight departure, but you will need an early start from the hotel. Schedules on the other prepared dates were the same or similar, so always re-check the exact times before paying.

I would book this directly with Condor. Search your chosen prepared dates as New York JFK → Vienna VIE and select Economy Classic. The reference fare was $599.98 return including taxes and fees.
BOOK DIRECT ON CONDOR →Make sure the final fare still shows Economy Class Classic and includes the baggage allowance before payment. Prices are dynamic and can change quickly.

4–15 Nov $600 and 8–15 Nov $600 are the lowest prepared fares.
The two 16 November departures place most of the stay in Vienna's Christmas-market period, making them particularly attractive despite costing $30–$50 more than the lowest fare.
A very complete transatlantic fare: from $600 return, direct Condor booking, 8 kg cabin baggage + 23 kg checked baggage included, and nine prepared combinations. Late-November dates are especially attractive for Vienna's Christmas-market season.

Vienna hotel playbook
The reference Condor itinerary leaves New York on 4 November 2026 at 16:25 and arrives in Vienna on 5 November at 10:20. The return leaves Vienna on 15 November at 07:50. Because the outbound is overnight, the hotel stay is 10 nights from 5 to 15 November — not 11. For this trip I would choose the area around how you want to use Vienna: the Innere Stadt for maximum walkability, Neubau / Mariahilf for restaurants and city life, Leopoldstadt for better value and easy transport, or the Hauptbahnhof / Belvedere area if airport and rail convenience matter most.
Vienna is a city where the cheapest room can be false economy if it adds long tram or U-Bahn rides every day. For a ten-night stay, I would prioritise location, recent reviews and the full stay price over saving a few dollars per night. If a flexible rate is only slightly more expensive, it can still be useful while you compare the same dates before departure.

💰 Dino hotel booking method
Shortlist 3–5 well-rated properties in the part of Vienna that suits the trip. A central or well-connected base is worth more on a ten-night stay than a small saving far outside the areas you will actually visit.
Check room price, breakfast, taxes, local charges and payment conditions together. A $10 nightly difference becomes $100 across this reference stay.
Before paying, confirm how you will reach the centre from the airport and how you will get back for the 07:50 flight. A slightly better-connected hotel can save stress on the final morning.
🌙 How many hotel nights?
Check in: 5 November.
Check out: 15 November 2026.
The flight lands at 10:20. Your room may not be ready, so prioritise a hotel that clearly offers luggage storage before check-in.
You leave New York on 4 November but spend that night flying. The first hotel night is therefore 5 November.
The return leaves at 07:50. You will probably leave the hotel well before normal breakfast service, so do not overpay for breakfast on the final night unless it is packaged cheaply.
📍 Best areas to stay
Innere Stadt · 1st district
Best for a first visit if budget allows. You are close to Stephansplatz, the Hofburg, major sights, cafés and many evening options. Usually the most expensive choice.
Neubau / Mariahilf · 6th–7th
A strong balance of restaurants, shops, bars, museums and public transport. Good for travellers who want more neighbourhood life without being far from the centre.
Leopoldstadt · 2nd district
Often better value than the historic core while remaining very well connected. Useful for the Prater, Danube Canal and travellers who prefer a less tourist-heavy base.
Hauptbahnhof / Belvedere
Practical for trains, airport access and day trips. Not as atmospheric as the old town late at night, but a smart choice for this itinerary because of the early return flight.
🗺️ How I would use 10 nights
Give the centre proper time instead of rushing: Stephansplatz, the Hofburg, the Ringstrasse, churches, cafés and the smaller streets around the 1st district.
Use separate days for Schönbrunn, Belvedere and the museums around the centre. A ten-night stay means you do not have to stack several major sights into one exhausting day.
Leave space for Neubau, Naschmarkt, the Danube Canal, Prater or simply a slower café day. Vienna is better when every day is not treated like a checklist.
If you choose one of the later prepared November dates instead of the reference trip, Christmas-market season becomes a major part of the trip and staying central becomes even more useful.
🗺️ Where to go next
Ten nights gives you enough time to keep Vienna as one base and still add a day trip, or turn the flight deal into a two-city Central European trip.
Vienna → Bratislava
The easiest add-on. It works well as a day trip or a one-night extension if you want a second capital without using much travel time.
Vienna → Salzburg
A good choice if you want to add a very different Austrian city. For a day trip it is a long day, so an overnight stay can make more sense if your schedule allows.
Vienna → Budapest
Best as a two- or three-night extension rather than a rushed day trip. It pairs naturally with Vienna if you want to turn the fare into a broader Central Europe itinerary.
⚠️ Dangers + what to look out for
Vienna is generally straightforward for visitors, but location, early-airport logistics and small booking details can still make a cheap hotel much less attractive than it first appears.
“Vienna” can cover properties well outside the areas most visitors use. Check the map and the nearest U-Bahn, tram or rail stop before booking.
The return flight is early. Confirm that your planned airport transport actually runs early enough and allow extra time for the connection from your hotel.
Check whether city taxes or other mandatory charges are included in the displayed total or collected separately at the property.
Do not assume every shop or supermarket will follow the opening hours you may be used to in the US. Plan essentials in advance, especially around Sundays and public holidays.
Use normal precautions with phones, wallets and bags around busy transport hubs, central sights and seasonal markets.
Some central properties are in older buildings. Check recent reviews for lift access, heating, street noise, room size and whether the photos match the actual room category.
The later prepared dates overlap the Christmas-market period, so central hotels can become more expensive. Compare those dates early if the markets are the main reason for travelling.
Repeated complaints about cleanliness, heating, poor soundproofing, surprise charges, unreliable Wi-Fi or misleading room descriptions matter more than a slightly lower headline price.
🛡️ Practical booking notes
If a flexible rate is only slightly more expensive, it can be useful while you keep comparing the same 10-night stay. Always compare the final conditions rather than the word “refundable” alone.
For ten nights, an expensive breakfast supplement adds up quickly. Vienna has plenty of cafés and bakeries, so compare the hotel package with what you would realistically spend outside.
The 10:20 arrival is much earlier than standard check-in. Make sure the hotel can store luggage so the first day is not wasted waiting with bags.
Because the return leaves at 07:50, a hotel with easy early airport access can be more valuable than saving a small amount farther away.
For a ten-night Vienna stay, I would use paid activities selectively — mainly where a timed ticket, guided context or transport makes the day easier — and leave plenty of room for cafés, neighbourhoods and spontaneous exploring.
