Bangkok
from €489 return
About this deal
A very attractive long-haul Economy fare from Prague to Bangkok with
Qatar Airways, combining the Boeing 787 and Airbus A380.
The cheapest OTA prices I found were around €489–€495 return with Bravofly via Skyscanner Austria.
However, Qatar Airways direct at around €525 return is the preferred option:
the difference is small enough that booking directly with the airline is the better overall value for most travellers.
The reference itinerary is 04 March – 18 March 2027.
The aircraft combination is excellent, but the schedule is the compromise:
the outbound includes a 4h05 Doha connection and the return leaves Bangkok at
02:00, with another connection of around 4h15.
Qatar direct: about €525

Fare proof
Bravofly was the cheapest OTA shown through Skyscanner Austria, with fares in the €489–€495 range. Bravofly itself did not allow a screenshot, so the proof is taken from the Skyscanner vendor list.
Qatar Airways direct was around €525 return when checked. With only about €30–€36 separating it from the cheapest OTA, this is the option I would recommend.
Book directly with Qatar Airways →Why this fare works + important details
The headline price is strong, but the real appeal is the product: Qatar Airways with Boeing 787 and Airbus A380 sectors. At around €525 booked directly with Qatar, this is a compelling way to reach Bangkok without paying a large premium for the airline-direct option.
1. Schedule: the Doha connections are 4h05 outbound and about 4h15 return.
2. Bangkok departure: the 02:00 return is awkward and effectively shortens the usefulness of the final night.
3. Journey times: 16h10 outbound and 17h25 return are acceptable rather than excellent.
4. OTA vs airline: Bravofly is cheaper, but Qatar direct is only around €30–€36 more, so I would choose Qatar.
5. Availability: the selected dates run from October through April. Recheck the live fare and exact schedule before booking.

Fantastic airline, fantastic aircraft and a very strong direct-airline price — compromised by a mediocre schedule. The 787/A380 combination and €525 Qatar-direct fare keep this comfortably above the high-7 range, but the long Doha waits and 02:00 Bangkok departure stop it from becoming a top-tier deal.

Bangkok has plenty of very well-rated 4- and 5-star hotels from around €70 per night for two — roughly €35 per person — but if you want to start the trip somewhere a little more special, MUU Bangkok, Small Luxury Hotels of the World is a strong option in the fashionable Thong Lo area.

Why I like this hotel + where to stay
MUU Bangkok sits in Thong Lo, an upscale part of Sukhumvit known for
excellent restaurants, cocktail bars, coffee shops and a more local-feeling nightlife scene than the busiest tourist zones.
The hotel is part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and works especially well if you want your
first few nights to feel comfortable after the long flight from Europe. The property shown has a pool overlooking the city,
spacious contemporary rooms, a fitness centre, library, restaurants and bars, and a tuk-tuk shuttle to Thong Lo BTS.
For the reference search, a Deluxe King was around €360 total for 3 nights / 2 adults.
That works out at roughly €120 per night, or €60 per person per night.
Bangkok also has many good 4- and 5-star hotels starting around €70 per room per night if you want to spend less.
How long in Bangkok + where to go next
For most first-time visitors I would allow 3–4 full days in Bangkok.
If you love food, nightlife and big-city energy, 4–5 nights is easy to justify.
With the 14-night reference trip, I would not stay in Bangkok the whole time.
A very natural itinerary is Bangkok first, then one or two additional stops.
Chiang Mai
Temples · food · mountains · cooler north. Excellent for 3–4 nights.
Krabi / Railay
Beaches · limestone scenery · island trips. Great contrast after Bangkok.
Phuket
Easiest big-resort beach extension with lots of flights and hotels.
Ayutthaya
Easy historical day trip or overnight from Bangkok.
Cambodia
Siem Reap / Angkor works well if you want a second country and have enough time.
Vietnam
Ho Chi Minh City is another easy regional add-on from Bangkok.
For 14 nights, a balanced first trip could be 4 nights Bangkok + 3 nights Chiang Mai + 5–6 nights at the beach, leaving a little flexibility for transfers. If you add Cambodia or Vietnam, I would keep Thailand to two main stops rather than rushing through everything.
