Good value to Lima, but the routing requires patience
Return flights from Prague to Lima are available from around €638, including cabin baggage and one 23 kg checked suitcase.
The price is competitive for travel to Peru, particularly because baggage is already included rather than being added as an expensive extra during checkout.
The principal drawback is the routing. The journey includes two stops in each direction, making both travel days long and more demanding than a standard one-stop itinerary.
Most flights are operated by American Airlines, while the final European sector may be operated by Iberia on selected itineraries. Connection times vary by date, with some combinations offering more comfortable transfer windows than others.
Travellers should therefore compare the complete journey carefully rather than selecting a date based only on the lowest price.

Where to stay in Lima: begin your Peru adventure in Miraflores
After landing in Peru, consider spending at least two nights in Lima before continuing towards Machu Picchu, Cusco and the country’s other major highlights.
A short stay gives you time to recover from the long journey, explore the capital and organise any domestic flights, trains or transfers required for the next stage of your trip.
For our sample search from 12 September to 14 September, we found numerous affordable and well-rated guesthouses in Miraflores from around €50 per night.
When travelling as a couple, that works out at only €25 per person per night, making Lima a reasonably affordable starting point for a longer Peru itinerary.
Miraflores is one of the most popular areas for international visitors, with restaurants, cafés, shops and coastal parks within easy reach. It is also a practical base for visiting nearby Barranco, known for its colourful streets, art galleries and nightlife.
