Florence
from $610 return
About this deal
This is one of those fares I am particularly proud to find because Florence is my own city — and anyone familiar with FLR knows it is not always the easiest Italian airport from which to find genuinely cheap long-haul fares.
The reference itinerary is 31 January - 8 February 2027 at just $609.98 return, which I am rounding to $610. It is sold directly by Condor US, with one stop in Frankfurt each way and the short European sectors operated by Air Dolomiti.
Better still, this is Economy Classic: 1 x 23 kg checked bag + 1 x 8 kg hand baggage are included, together with a standard meal, soft drinks and seatback entertainment on the itinerary shown.
The lowest $610 fare is not available every day — I found four date combinations at this level — but there are many more options around $650 return. January and February are low season in Florence, which means colder weather, but also cheaper hotels, shorter museum queues and far fewer tourists than in spring and summer.

Reference flight schedule
Condor DE2029 + Air Dolomiti EN314 · 1 stop in Frankfurt
Seattle 15:00 → Florence 13:40 the following day
Total journey time: 13h40. For a West Coast US itinerary ending at Florence Airport itself, this is a very efficient schedule with a civilised afternoon departure from Seattle.
Air Dolomiti EN311 + Condor DE2032 · 1 stop in Frankfurt
Florence 10:20 → Seattle 15:55
Total journey time: 14h35. This is the combination I prefer because the 10:20 departure is much more comfortable than the very early alternatives I found.

Fare proof
The Condor basket showed $609.98 total return for 31 January - 8 February 2027. The itinerary is Economy Classic and shows 1 x 23 kg hold baggage, 1 x 8 kg hand baggage, a standard meal, soft drinks and seatback entertainment among the included services.

Why this fare works + important details
This is what makes the deal special for me. Florence is my own city, and FLR is not always an easy airport for finding cheap long-haul fares. You are not being dropped in Milan or Rome and then told to add a train: this ticket takes you all the way to Florence Airport. Add 23 kg checked baggage, sensible one-stop schedules and direct airline booking, and $610 is exceptional value.
1. $610 availability is limited: I found four combinations at roughly this price rather than a broad calendar-wide sale.
2. More dates around $650: the good news is that missing the absolute lowest fare does not mean the deal disappears — there are many more combinations at around $650 return, which is still very attractive.
3. January / February: this is low season. Expect cooler weather and shorter days, but Florence has real advantages at this time of year: cheaper hotels, shorter museum queues, easier restaurant reservations and far fewer tourists. You can enjoy the historic centre without the summer hordes.
4. One stop each way: this is not a nonstop itinerary, but 13h40 outbound and 14h35 return are very reasonable journey times from the US West Coast to a smaller European airport.
5. Prices are dynamic: always confirm the final fare and included services on Condor before payment.

Booking options
The reference 31 January - 8 February itinerary showed $609.98 return directly in the Condor basket. Because the airline-direct price is already this low, I would send the traffic straight to Condor US rather than an OTA.
Check Condor US →If the $610 combinations have moved, do not give up immediately. I found many more January / February options around $650 return, still with the convenience of booking directly on the Condor US website.
Search more Condor dates →I found four combinations around $610 return. The 31 January - 8 February option is my reference because it combines the fare with the better 10:20 departure from Florence. There are also many more combinations around $650 return.
This is an outstanding all-round fare, not just a cheap headline price. $610 return from Seattle to Florence itself is already special; adding a 23 kg checked bag, 8 kg hand baggage, meals, sensible one-stop journey times and direct Condor booking makes it much stronger. The main limitation is that only a handful of combinations hit the absolute lowest price, while January / February will not suit travellers looking for warm Tuscany weather.

If you want to keep accommodation costs sensible in Florence without ending up miles away from everything, this is the kind of property I like to flag. The Social Hub Florence Belfiore is not right in the historic core, but that is exactly part of the appeal. You are in a more residential, real-Florence area, right next to the newer tramway network, making it easy to get to and from Florence Airport while still remaining within walking distance of Santa Maria Novella and the main attractions. For travellers who want a practical base rather than a postcard location at any price, this is a very attractive middle ground.
The selected Standard Queen Room was showing at approximately €634 total including taxes and charges.
That works out to about €317 per person for the full stay, roughly €91 per room per night, or approximately €45 per person per night when travelling as a couple.
The shown rate included high-speed internet and represented very strong value for Florence. Breakfast was available as an extra, and the displayed example rate was non-refundable / pay online.
≈ €45 per person per night
Taxes and charges included
- Florence Belfiore / Santa Maria Novella area in a more residential part of the city.
- Excellent access to the tramway network for easy airport and city travel.
- Within walking distance of the main sights, while avoiding the full historic-centre price premium.
- Reference rate from around €634 total for 7 nights for 2 adults.
- High-speed internet included in the selected rate.
- Breakfast available as an add-on.
- Guest score shown: 8.9/10.
- Terrace, rooftop area, fitness centre and parking on site.
- Good side-trip base for Pisa, Siena, Lucca and Bologna.
Why this hotel + where to stay in Florence
A lot of visitors instinctively search only for hotels inside the historic centre,
but in Florence that often means paying a significant premium for a smaller room and more tourist-heavy surroundings.
What I like here is the balance.
The Social Hub Florence Belfiore gives you a 4-star standard,
strong reviews, good design, and a location that feels more like real everyday Florence.
It is not buried inside the most crowded part of town,
but it is still practical, connected and walkable.
The nearby tramway is a real plus.
It makes the transfer to and from Florence Airport much easier,
and it also helps if you do not feel like walking back after a long sightseeing day.
At the same time, you are still close enough to enjoy the city properly on foot.
For me, this is exactly the kind of hotel that works well for a longer Florence stay:
good value, easy logistics, less tourist chaos and still well positioned.
Dino tip: in Florence, you do not need to sleep directly next to the Duomo to have a great trip. Areas that are just outside the most touristic core often give you a much better balance of price, comfort and authenticity.
Spend the full 7 nights here + easy side trips
My suggestion would be to stay here for the full 7 nights rather than hotel-hopping.
Florence works beautifully as a base, and this property’s location makes that even easier.
You get enough time to enjoy Florence properly — museums, food, neighbourhood walks, sunset views and slower mornings —
while still leaving room for day trips.
Because the hotel is conveniently placed for Santa Maria Novella station,
you can easily plan rail day trips to places like:
That is one of the biggest strengths of this hotel: it is not just a place to sleep in Florence, it is a solid transport-friendly base for a wider northern Tuscany / Emilia-Romagna trip.
Airport access + practical Florence notes
One of the most convenient parts of this hotel is the connection to Florence’s tramway network.
That makes airport transfers far easier than they are from many small boutique hotels hidden deep inside the historic centre.
It is also a good compromise for travellers who want to be able to walk into the city,
but would prefer to return in the evening to an area that feels a bit less chaotic and more residential.
If this is your first time in Florence, remember that the city is compact and very walkable.
In practice, staying a little outside the absolute tourist heart often makes the trip easier rather than harder.
