This fare is available across a very wide range of dates from November through March,
with the bulk of the combinations falling in some of Thailand's most attractive travel months.
You also get 1 x 23 kg checked baggage included and only one stop each way,
which makes the overall package much more useful than a bare-bones low-cost fare.
At around €432-€445 equivalent, the Mytrip price is very competitive from Zurich.
The problem is not the length of the connections themselves - it is when they happen.
On the reference itinerary you connect in Riyadh from roughly 22:45 until 02:40,
while the return leaves Bangkok at 01:15 and connects through Jeddah in the early morning.
Some other date combinations connect through Jeddah in both directions, but total travel times remain broadly similar.
Saudia is also a dry airline, so alcohol is not served onboard.
That may be completely irrelevant to some travellers, but it is worth knowing before choosing a long-haul holiday flight.

Bangkok is one of those cities where you do not necessarily need to spend heavily to get a very good hotel. For these travel dates, it is possible to find well-rated 4- and 5-star options from around €50 per night, which makes it worth prioritising location, transport and cancellation conditions rather than simply choosing the cheapest room.
For the 13-26 November reference flight, you arrive in Bangkok on 14 November and have approximately 12 hotel nights in Thailand. I would start with 3 nights in Bangkok, then continue elsewhere in Thailand before returning to Bangkok for 1 final night ahead of the 01:15 flight home.
For a first visit I think 3-4 nights is the sweet spot. Three nights is enough for the major temples, Chinatown, markets, rooftop views and a good introduction to the food scene; four nights is better if you want a slower pace or a day trip.
Stay from 14-17 November. This gives you two full sightseeing days plus the arrival day, without using too much of a longer Thailand trip in the capital.
Add one extra night if you want Chatuchak, a food tour, a canal excursion or a day trip without rushing the temples and central neighbourhoods.
Because the return flight leaves Bangkok at 01:15, I would return to Bangkok the previous day rather than rely on a separate domestic flight immediately before the long-haul departure.
For the first 3 nights in Bangkok, our pick is Best Western Click Sathorn 11 Bangkok, a well-rated 4-star hotel in Sathorn. It is close to BTS Saint Louis, which is a major advantage in a city where being near rapid transit can save a lot of time in traffic.
The attached Booking.com listing shows an excellent 8.9/10 guest rating from more than 2,300 reviews, with an especially strong 9.6 staff score. That combination of price, location and review quality is what makes this property stand out.
Facilities shown on the listing include an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, room service, free Wi-Fi, free on-site parking, air conditioning and a 24-hour front desk. The hotel also has a rooftop-style pool area, which is a nice bonus after a hot day exploring Bangkok.
For 14-17 November 2026, the attached search showed a Superior Twin Room from €168 total for 2 adults for 3 nights, including taxes and charges, with free cancellation before 11 November 2026. That works out at roughly €56 per room per night.
If breakfast matters, a second flexible rate was displayed at €184 total for 2 adults / 3 nights, with good breakfast included and the same free-cancellation deadline. For only a small difference, that would be worth comparing before booking.
I would choose this hotel primarily for value + BTS access + strong reviews. It is not a resort and it is not directly beside the Grand Palace, but Sathorn is a very practical base for travellers who want a comfortable hotel with easy access to the rest of Bangkok.

Bangkok is huge, so I would choose an area based on what you want to do rather than simply looking for the cheapest room. Being close to the BTS or MRT can be more valuable than saving a few euros per night.
The classic historic Bangkok day. Add Wat Arun across the river if you want to make a full temple-and-river itinerary.
Spend an evening around Yaowarat, mix street food with temples and markets, and see a completely different side of the city.
Depending on the day, combine Chatuchak or another market with shopping, cafés and the modern city around Siam or Sukhumvit.
Use the Chao Phraya boats during the day, then finish with a rooftop bar or dinner around Sathorn / Silom.
November is an excellent month for building a wider Thailand trip. The north moves into cooler weather and the Andaman coast becomes much more attractive again, so this fare works especially well for combining Bangkok with Chiang Mai and a beach destination.
