About this deal
At first I thought this fare might be an error:
Etihad Airways Economy Value from Vienna to Krabi from €297 return when booked directly with Etihad,
with a 25 kg checked bag included.
There are even cheaper combinations in the calendar,
but several of them involve an
overnight connection in Abu Dhabi
either outbound or inbound.
I deliberately selected only the combinations with
short, sensible connections.
The new reference trip is
18 November – 2 December 2026.
Etihad's own website was still showing the same itinerary at
€297 return,
which is the fare I would use as the main advertised price and the booking option I would personally choose.
This looks like a
very short-lived flash fare.
I would expect availability to move quickly and would not assume it will still be available tomorrow.

Fare details + catches
This is exactly the type of itinerary I prefer sharing: one stop each way, 13h30 outbound, 15h20 return, and no overnight airport connection on the selected dates.
Some lower fares came with an overnight connection in Abu Dhabi either outbound or inbound. The four combinations below are the ones I selected because the connections are much cleaner.
At this price level I would treat the deal as highly time-sensitive. Fares can disappear without notice, so always re-check the final price before paying.

I would personally book this one directly with Etihad.
The lower OTA fares are tempting, but because this price looks unusually low,
I would rather have the booking and ticket issued directly by the airline.

if this unusually low fare is later reviewed, changed or cancelled,
I would rather deal directly with the operating airline than add an OTA in between.
Booking direct does not guarantee that an error fare will be honoured,

Exceptional airfare, excellent short connections, 25 kg checked baggage and a very strong direct-airline fallback make this one of the best economy deals I have seen recently.

Krabi hotel playbook
The reference Etihad trip leaves Vienna on 18 November 2026 and arrives in Krabi at 06:20 on 19 November. The return flight leaves Krabi at 20:40 on 2 December. That gives you 13 hotel nights: check in on 19 November and check out on 2 December. Because the flight lands very early, do not assume your room will be ready at 06:20. Ask the hotel about early check-in, luggage storage, or consider booking the previous night if you want guaranteed immediate room access.

💰 Dino hotel booking method
Ao Nang, Krabi Town, Railay and Klong Muang all give you a very different stay. Decide whether you want beach convenience, nightlife, local atmosphere or a quieter resort base.
Look for comments about air conditioning, room condition, noise, cleanliness, beach access and how easy it is to reach restaurants and boat departures.
Check the full 13-night total, room type, breakfast, taxes, cancellation conditions and payment terms. Then use Karma and Trivago as additional checks.

Check in on 19 November and check out on 2 December.
The flight reaches Krabi at 06:20. Standard hotel check-in will normally be much later, so plan luggage storage or arrange early access.
Your return flight leaves at 20:40. Check out normally, leave your bags with the hotel and enjoy most of the final day.

📍 Best areas to stay in Krabi
The easiest all-round base for a first visit. Plenty of hotels, restaurants and tour operators, with convenient boat connections to nearby beaches and islands.
More local and generally less resort-focused. Good for markets, food and a more everyday Thai atmosphere, but not the best choice if beach access is your priority.
Dramatic limestone scenery and a special beach setting. Access is by boat, so it is beautiful but less practical if you want to move around frequently.
Quieter and more resort-oriented. A better fit if you want a relaxed beach stay and do not need to be in the middle of Ao Nang every evening.
🌎 How I would use a 13-night Krabi stay
Keep several easy days for beach time, restaurants, sunsets and recovering between excursions.
Use some of the stay for boat excursions such as Hong Islands, Phi Phi or other nearby island combinations, depending on weather and sea conditions.
Spend a day — or even a night — around Railay for the limestone scenery, beaches and a completely different atmosphere.
Leave time for temples, viewpoints, hot springs, jungle or other inland excursions rather than spending the entire trip on the coast.

Use strong sunscreen, drink plenty of water and do not underestimate the tropical sun, especially on boat days.
Boat trips depend on weather and sea conditions. Follow local operator advice and avoid forcing an excursion when conditions are poor.
Repellent is useful, especially in greener areas and around dawn or dusk.
Your arrival is very early. Confirm how you are getting from Krabi Airport to your hotel before departure.
Carry a second card and some cash separately, particularly for smaller businesses and island trips.
Mobile data is useful for navigation, transport, translation and contacting hotels or tour operators.
Use normal travel common sense: choose busy food outlets, stay hydrated and use safe drinking water.
Boat excursions, scooters and unexpected disruption make comprehensive travel insurance particularly sensible.
