Luxor
from €57 return
About this deal
A very strong low-cost fare from Milan Malpensa to Luxor with
easyJet, flying direct both ways.
Selected November and December combinations are showing in the region of
€57–€71 return.
The reference trip is 14 December - 21 December 2026.
The base Light fare includes only a
small under-seat cabin bag up to 45 × 36 × 20 cm.
easyJet will offer higher fare bundles during the booking flow, but if all you need is
a regular large cabin bag or a 15 kg checked bag,
the cheaper strategy is normally to keep the Light fare and
add the required baggage separately later in the booking process.
Based on the supplied booking check, the total was approximately €136 return
when adding either of those baggage options separately.

Fare proof
The supplied easyJet proof shows the reference 14–21 December itinerary at €56.53 return, which rounds to the advertised €57. The Light fare includes one small under-seat cabin bag.
Check current price →easyJet will display higher fare bundles during the booking flow. If you only need a large cabin bag or a 15 kg checked bag, do not automatically upgrade to a bundle. Continue with the Light fare and compare the cost of adding the bag separately after seat selection. On the supplied check, this brought the trip to approximately €136 return.
Compare easyJet direct →Why this fare works + important details
At €57–€71 return, this is exceptional value for a direct international route. The reference schedule is also unusually good for a low-cost fare: 08:20 outbound and 14:35 return.
1. Base fare baggage: only one small under-seat cabin bag is included,
with a maximum size of 45 × 36 × 20 cm.
2. Bundle upsell: easyJet may offer higher Economy bundles during the booking flow.
Those can be considerably more expensive if baggage is the only extra you need.
3. Cheapest baggage approach: continue with Light and add a
large cabin bag or 15 kg checked bag separately later in the booking flow.
Based on the supplied check, the total was approximately €136 return with either of those options.
4. Recheck before paying: baggage prices are dynamic, so compare the current bundle price
against the separate baggage add-on at checkout rather than assuming one option is always cheaper.

Fantastic price, direct flights and excellent travel dates. The score is held back mainly by the personal-item-only base fare and the fact that baggage pricing requires a little care during the easyJet booking flow.

The reference easyJet itinerary gives you 7 hotel nights in Egypt. Luxor has enough archaeology for several days, but with a full week I would combine the city with Aswan, a Nile cruise or a Red Sea extension rather than staying in one place for all 7 nights.
For most first-time visitors, the East Bank is the easiest base. It has the widest hotel choice, more restaurants and easier access to Luxor Temple, Karnak and the Corniche. The West Bank is quieter and more atmospheric if you want to wake up closer to the tombs.
Use the remaining nights to explore Upper Egypt
- East Bank is the easiest choice for a first visit.
- Choose the West Bank for a quieter, more local atmosphere.
- Allow time for both Karnak / Luxor Temple and the West Bank tombs.
- With 7 nights, consider Aswan or a Nile cruise as an extension.
- Keep the final night in Luxor if you travel south, so you are not rushing back for the flight.
How to stay safer in Luxor
Luxor, the Valley of the Kings and Aswan are outside the main Western Desert areas covered by the current UK "all but essential travel" warning, but Egypt still requires normal situational awareness. I would keep valuables discreet, use hotel-arranged or clearly identified transport when arriving late, and be cautious with anyone offering unofficial guiding, transport or excursions.
Where to go next from Luxor
Aswan is the most natural next stop.
It is roughly 208 km south of Luxor and direct trains commonly take around
3½ hours. It combines very well with Luxor and is also the gateway for
Abu Simbel.
If you want to slow the trip down, a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan is the classic alternative
to doing the journey entirely by train.
Aswan
~208 km · around 3½ hours by direct train · Philae Temple · Nubian culture · easiest major extension.
Nile cruise
Classic Luxor–Aswan option · combines transport, accommodation and temple stops over several days.
Hurghada
~280 km · around 4 hours by road · good if you want to finish with a Red Sea beach break.
Dendera
Easy day-trip territory from Luxor · one of the best additions if you prefer to keep the same hotel for the whole stay.
My simple 7-night split: 4 nights Luxor + 2 nights Aswan + 1 night Luxor. If you would rather avoid changing hotels twice, stay in Luxor for the week and use day trips instead.
