Economy Classic is the clear value winner
Return flights from Budapest to Vancouver are available directly from Condor from approximately €389.98 in Economy Zero or €449.98 in Economy Classic.
The itinerary includes one protected connection each way and broadly similar flight schedules across the available dates.
A typical outbound journey leaves Budapest at approximately 11:25 and arrives in Vancouver at around 15:50, with a total journey time of approximately 13 hours and 25 minutes.
The return normally departs Vancouver at approximately 17:50 and reaches Budapest at around 21:45 the following day, with a total journey time of approximately 18 hours and 55 minutes.

Where to stay in Vancouver: accommodation will be a major part of your budget
Vancouver is an incredible city, but there is no way around the fact that accommodation can be expensive—particularly if you want to stay in or close to Downtown.
For our sample search from 8 October to 18 October, well-rated 3 and 4-star hotels in central locations were available from approximately €250 per night.
When travelling as a couple, this works out at around €125 per person per night. Over a ten-night stay, the accommodation cost can therefore be considerably higher than the flights themselves.
Personally, I would still consider paying a little more for the right location. Staying around Downtown Vancouver, Coal Harbour, Yaletown or the West End places many of the city’s main attractions, restaurants and waterfront areas within walking distance.
A central base also makes it easier to visit places such as Stanley Park, English Bay, Granville Island, Gastown and Canada Place without spending large amounts of time commuting every day.
Travellers hoping to reduce the cost may find better-value accommodation outside the immediate Downtown area. Neighbourhoods near a SkyTrain station can provide convenient access to the centre while offering more manageable prices.
Areas such as Richmond, Burnaby or selected parts of North Vancouver may be worth comparing, but always consider the daily transport time and cost before choosing a cheaper property farther away.
Serviced apartments or rooms with kitchen facilities can also help reduce the total trip cost, especially on a longer stay. Preparing breakfast or a few evening meals yourself can make a meaningful difference in a city where eating out is not particularly cheap.
Dino tip: compare the complete stay price rather than focusing only on the nightly rate. Check whether taxes, deposits, cleaning charges, breakfast and parking are included, and balance any saving against the time you will spend travelling into Downtown.
