Economy Classic is the smarter Mombasa option
Return flights from Frankfurt to Mombasa are available directly from Condor from around €380 in Economy Zero or from around €440 in Economy Classic.
The sample itinerary has a very practical structure: the outbound sector is around 11 hours 35 minutes with one stop, while the return flight from Mombasa to Frankfurt is nonstop at around 9 hours 05 minutes.
Economy Zero only includes a small personal cabin bag, which makes it harder to recommend for Kenya unless you are travelling extremely light.
Economy Classic is the better all-round value because it includes a regular cabin bag and 23 kg checked baggage, which is much more realistic for a beach holiday, safari extension or longer East Africa trip.
Economy Zero keeps the headline price low, but it only allows a small
personal cabin bag.
Economy Classic costs around €60 more and includes a regular cabin bag
plus 23 kg checked baggage. For Kenya, this is almost certainly the
better and more realistic option for most travellers.
The Condor link opens the airline homepage, so travellers must enter
the Frankfurt–Mombasa route and selected dates manually.
Confirm the final fare, baggage allowance, operating airline, transit
point, ticket rules and Kenya entry requirements before payment.
Best for: travellers looking for an affordable Kenya beach trip or a starting point for a beach-and-safari itinerary.
Less ideal for: travellers choosing Economy Zero who need more than a small personal item.
Dino’s advice: advertise the headline fare from €380, but clearly recommend Economy Classic from €440 for most travellers.

Where to stay near Mombasa: Diani Beach is the obvious choice
If you are flying into Mombasa for a beach holiday, Diani Beach is one of the best areas to consider. It is one of Kenya’s most popular seaside resorts, known for its long white-sand beach, palm trees, relaxed atmosphere and good choice of hotels, guesthouses and beach resorts.
For our sample stay from 1 July to 13 July, well-rated 3–4 star hotels in the Diani Beach area were available from around €90 per night. When travelling as a couple, that works out at approximately €45 per person per night.
That is a very reasonable starting point for a coastal Kenya trip, especially if you want to combine beach time with optional day trips, snorkelling, diving, boat tours or even a safari extension before or after your stay.
Dino tip: do not look only at the nightly price. In Diani, it is worth checking how close the property is to the beach, whether breakfast is included, recent guest reviews, airport-transfer options and whether the area feels convenient for restaurants, tours and transport.
Search Diani Beach accommodation →Sample prices were checked for two adults. Prices and availability can change quickly. Always confirm the final total, taxes, exact location, recent reviews, room type, meal plan, cancellation policy and transfer options before booking.
