Manila
from €342 return
About this deal
A very strong full-service Economy fare from Stockholm Arlanda to Manila
with Air China from around €342–€373 return.
The reference trip is 7–23 November 2026, with one stop in Beijing each way.
The outbound has a 6h20 connection and arrives in Manila at 00:05;
the return leaves Manila at 06:20 with a shorter 3h05 connection in Beijing.
The fare includes 23 kg checked baggage, which adds a lot of value at this price point.
The lowest fare is being sold by Sembo via Skyscanner Sweden.
The booking flow is in Swedish and payment is in SEK,
so this is best suited to travellers comfortable completing a Swedish booking flow.
Availability is limited: I prepared four useful November combinations,
so this is not one of those fares with months of flexible dates.

A €342–€373 return fare from Stockholm to Manila is already very competitive. Adding 23 kg checked baggage makes it much stronger for a long Philippines trip. The trade-off is limited availability and a booking process that is less convenient for non-Swedish speakers.
The lowest price is through Sembo via Skyscanner Sweden. The booking flow is in Swedish and payment is in SEK. Check the final SEK amount, baggage conditions and fare rules before completing payment.

Booking options
Use the prepared Skyscanner Sweden link for your chosen dates. The reference proof showed 3,871 SEK for 7–23 November. The booking flow is in Swedish and payment is in SEK, so confirm the final currency amount before paying.
CHECK 07 NOV – 23 NOV →This fare is attractive enough to be worth considering, but it is not the simplest booking flow. Make sure the final fare still includes the 23 kg checked bag and that you are comfortable paying in SEK.
Availability is limited. I prepared four useful combinations, all departing on 7 November 2026. The 7–23 November trip is the reference option used for the fare proof.
The fare is strong enough to publish, but flexibility is clearly the weakness. If these dates do not work, I would not assume the same price exists across the rest of the season.
A very strong long-haul Economy price with 23 kg checked baggage included. The biggest compromises are limited availability, the Swedish/SEK booking flow, a 6h20 outbound Beijing connection, a midnight arrival in Manila and a 06:20 return departure.

Manila hotel playbook
The reference Air China itinerary reaches Manila at 00:05 on 9 November 2026 and leaves at 06:20 on 23 November. Because the flight arrives just after midnight, the hotel should be booked from 8 November so the room is already yours when you reach the property. Tell the hotel in advance that you will arrive after midnight so the booking is not treated as a no-show.
For a two-week Philippines trip, I would secure a well-rated refundable hotel once the price and location make sense. Keep monitoring the same dates afterwards. If a better-value property or a lower rate appears before the cancellation deadline, confirm the replacement first and only then cancel the original booking.

💰 Dino hotel booking method
Choose a well-rated property in the part of Metro Manila that matches your plans and prioritise free cancellation. For a long stay, location and transport convenience matter more than saving a few euros per night.
Re-check the same dates periodically. If the same hotel drops or a stronger property appears for less, compare the exact room and conditions. Confirm the replacement before cancelling your backup.
Use Karma and Trivago as extra checks. Compare taxes, breakfast, cancellation terms, deposits and airport transfer costs. For this itinerary, keep 8 November as the hotel check-in date because the flight reaches Manila at 00:05 on the 9th.
🌙 How many hotel nights?
Check in: 8 November 2026.
Check out: 23 November 2026.
The flight lands at 00:05 on 9 November. Booking from the 8th means the room is already reserved and available when you arrive at the hotel after midnight.
Message the property before travelling and explain that you will arrive after midnight on 9 November. This protects the booking from being treated as a no-show.
The return leaves at 06:20, so the night of 22 November is still required. Plan to leave the hotel roughly 3 hours before departure, depending on your location and transfer.
📍 Best areas to stay
MakatiMy default choice for a first Manila stay: restaurants, malls, bars, offices and a large range of hotels. Good if you want a convenient urban base with plenty around you.
BGC / Bonifacio Global CityModern, polished and easy to navigate on foot within the district. Often pricier than other areas, but attractive if you value newer hotels, restaurants and a cleaner business-district feel.
Newport / PasayUseful for the first or last night because of airport proximity. A practical choice when arrival is after midnight or departure is very early, although it is not where I would spend an entire two-week Manila stay.
Ermita / MalateConvenient for Rizal Park, Intramuros and Manila Bay. Check recent hotel and street-level reviews carefully because quality and atmosphere can vary considerably block by block.
🌎 How I would use the two-week trip
Use the city for Intramuros, museums, food, Makati/BGC and recovering from the overnight journey. Two weeks is long enough that I would not spend the entire trip in Metro Manila unless that is specifically your plan.
Use the long trip length to add Palawan, Cebu, Bohol, Boracay or another island destination. Domestic flights can make a 2-centre or 3-centre Philippines trip very realistic.
I would return to Manila at least the day before the international departure rather than rely on a same-day domestic connection into a 06:20 long-haul departure.
The 00:05 arrival and 06:20 departure are the awkward parts. Solve those with sensible hotel timing rather than trying to save one room night and starting or ending the holiday exhausted.
🗺️ Where to go next
A 15-night trip gives you plenty of room to make Manila the gateway rather than the whole holiday. These are natural add-ons if you want beaches, islands or a slower second half.
PalawanStrong choice for dramatic scenery, island-hopping and beaches. Allow enough nights to justify the extra domestic flight rather than squeezing it into a rushed side trip.
CebuA useful second base with city connections, beaches and access to other Visayas destinations. Easy to combine with Manila on a two-week itinerary.
BoholGood if you want a mix of beaches, countryside and sightseeing. Often works well paired with Cebu rather than as a standalone Manila return.
BoracayBest if the priority is a straightforward beach break. Give it several nights and avoid making the final domestic transfer on the same day as the 06:20 international departure.
⚠️ Dangers + what to look out for
Manila can be a very rewarding stop, but transport, late-night arrivals, hotel location and normal big-city precautions matter. The cheapest room is not necessarily good value if the location creates long daily journeys.
After a midnight arrival, use an official airport option, recognised ride-hailing service or a pre-arranged hotel transfer. Avoid accepting vague offers from drivers approaching you inside or outside the terminal.
Distances that look short on a map can take much longer than expected. Choose the hotel around what you actually plan to do rather than simply selecting the lowest nightly price.
Use normal large-city precautions in busy streets, markets, public transport and nightlife areas. Keep passports, wallets and phones secure and avoid displaying valuables unnecessarily.
Check whether the property requires a card deposit, cash deposit or payment on arrival. Make sure the final total and refund conditions are clear before booking.
November can still bring heavy rain or tropical-weather disruption. Keep some flexibility in domestic flights and island plans, especially if your trip depends on ferries or small-airport connections.
If you book the room from 8 November, tell the hotel in writing that you will arrive after midnight so the reservation is not incorrectly treated as a no-show.
Some central areas are much noisier at night than the hotel map suggests. Read recent reviews for street noise, nightlife, construction and room soundproofing.
Watch for repeated complaints about cleanliness, air-conditioning, hot water, Wi-Fi, surprise charges, misleading photos or unreliable airport transfers.
🛡️ Practical booking notes
For a long stay, flexibility matters. If the refundable rate is only modestly more expensive, I would usually take it and keep monitoring rather than lock into a non-refundable room months ahead.
Fourteen nights magnifies even small nightly changes. Keep the original booking as your safety net and compare again before the cancellation deadline.
Check the same room type, breakfast, guest count, cancellation policy, taxes, payment timing and any deposits. A lower headline rate may not be the cheaper total stay.
Because the return leaves Manila at 06:20, spend the final night in Manila. I would not arrive from another island on the morning of the international flight.
Keep this part simple: use organised activities when transport or local knowledge genuinely adds value, then leave enough free time for food, neighbourhoods and the rest of the Philippines itinerary.
