The headline fare is not an OTA trick or a one-way teaser:
the proof shows a genuine €19.98 return total booked directly with Wizz Air.
For travellers who can manage with only the included small cabin bag,
it is difficult to argue with the value.
Even the €70.68 Wizz Smart option remains very reasonable
if you want to add a regular cabin bag for a full one-week trip.
This is not a warm-weather Armenia deal.
Gyumri sits in the Shirak region, one of the colder parts of Armenia,
and winter can mean snow, freezing temperatures and icy conditions.
That can actually be part of the appeal if you want winter atmosphere,
hearty Armenian food, snow-covered architecture and possible winter activities.
But it is a clear weakness for travellers who want comfortable sightseeing weather.
The other compromise is baggage:
Wizz Basic includes only one small under-seat cabin bag.
If you need a regular cabin bag, compare the Smart fare before booking.
If you can travel with only a small under-seat bag,
this is one of those fares where I would simply take the lowest option.
The return flight itself costs less than many airport transfers.
Just remember that adding luggage later can change the economics quickly.
For a full winter week, many travellers will find this more realistic.

At around €71 return it is still a very cheap international trip.

The reference flight gives you 7 hotel nights in Armenia. I would definitely spend time in Gyumri rather than landing there and immediately leaving, but I would not use the whole week in one city.
My preferred split is 2 nights in Gyumri, followed by 4 nights in Yerevan, then 1 final night back in Gyumri before the 10:40 flight to Larnaca. That gives you enough time to experience Armenia's cultural second city, enjoy the capital and still keep departure morning stress-free.
I would give Gyumri two nights at the start. The city is compact and walkable, but it rewards slower exploration: historic Kumayri streets, black-tuff architecture, cafés, museums, local food and the winter atmosphere are more enjoyable when you are not trying to see everything between two train departures.
Your flight arrives at 10:05, so the first day is still very usable. Spend two nights in Gyumri, then travel to Yerevan on day three.
Four nights is enough for the capital plus one or two winter excursions, without turning the trip into constant hotel changes.
Return to Gyumri the afternoon before departure. With a 10:40 flight the next morning, I would not risk a long winter road or rail journey from Yerevan on departure day.
Gyumri is compact, so I would prioritise being within easy walking distance of the historic centre rather than chasing the absolute cheapest room. For a short winter stay, that makes evenings and sightseeing much easier.
Wander the historic streets around Abovyan Street and the preserved 19th-century architecture. Gyumri is compact enough that walking is part of the experience.
Use the main square as a natural orientation point and explore the churches and central streets around it.
Winter is a good excuse to slow down and enjoy hearty Shirak cuisine, local pastries and Gyumri's café culture rather than filling every hour with sightseeing.
Depending on conditions, add ice skating, a snowy walk or a winter excursion outside the city rather than treating cold weather as something to avoid.
For a one-week trip, Yerevan is the obvious second base. Armenia's official tourism site notes that Gyumri and Yerevan are linked by trains and road transport, and four nights in the capital gives you enough flexibility for both city time and winter day trips.
Dino 7-night idea: Gyumri 2 nights → Yerevan 4 nights → Gyumri 1 final night. If skiing is a priority, replace 1-2 Yerevan nights with Tsaghkadzor.
February is proper winter in Armenia.
Gyumri and the surrounding Shirak region can be especially cold, and snow or icy conditions can affect walking and road travel.
Build some flexibility into intercity plans, wear proper winter footwear and avoid scheduling a long transfer back to Gyumri on the morning of your flight.
That is why I strongly prefer the final night back in Gyumri.
