If you are flying into Comayagua Airport and planning to visit Tegucigalpa or continue around Honduras, it can make sense to spend the first couple of nights in the capital area before heading towards the coast, the islands or other parts of the country.

For our sample search from 10 November to 12 November, renting an apartment can be one of the smartest options, especially if you are travelling with two or more people. A few apartments are available from around €70 per night, which works out at approximately €35 per person per night when travelling as a couple.

This can be particularly useful if you prefer more space, kitchen facilities, a living area or better value for a short stay before starting the more active part of the trip. For families or small groups, apartments may offer better overall value than booking multiple hotel rooms.
