About this deal
This is one of those rare occasions where an open-jaw Business Class fare genuinely makes sense.
You fly Budapest → London Heathrow → Accra and return
Accra → London Heathrow → Vienna, so instead of backtracking to Budapest at the end of the trip,
you finish in Vienna.
The reference itinerary is 29 October – 7 November 2026 for
HUF 433,700, approximately €1,184, booked directly with British Airways.
The long-haul sectors are shown on the Airbus A350, and the fare includes
2 × 32 kg checked baggage.
The critical booking rule is simple: on BA choose Multi-city and Business Class,
then check the London connection extremely carefully. British Airways may show combinations involving different London airports.
You want Heathrow to Heathrow — LHR → LHR — with no airport change.

BA may show other London combinations. Do not book an itinerary that requires changing between Heathrow and another London airport.
Fare proof
Book directly with British Airways using Multi-city and Business Class.
Search directly on British Airways →Connection times vary by date. The important rule is to choose the option where both arriving and departing London flights use Heathrow (LHR).
Critical booking warning
British Airways may display several Multi-city combinations.
Check every London segment before paying.
✅ Correct: LHR → LHR
❌ Avoid: LHR → LGW, LGW → LHR or any other London airport change.
Terminal changes inside Heathrow — for example T3 → T5 or T5 → T3 — are fine.
You still need to position to Budapest at the start, so add the cost of getting from Vienna / Austria to BUD. But the return lands directly in Vienna, avoiding a second positioning trip back from Budapest. For Central Europe, this is one of the rare cases where the open jaw actually makes practical sense.

Booking options
Search Budapest → Accra first and Accra → Vienna second. Select Business Class.
Open British Airways →There is no need to route this through an OTA. Book with BA directly so the airline owns the ticket and handles any schedule or aircraft changes.
Search on British Airways →BA will show multiple combinations and connection times. The selected dates have Heathrow-only options, but you must confirm the itinerary still says London Heathrow (LHR) for both the arriving and departing flight.
Build the Multi-city fare →These date combinations produced the same open-jaw fare pattern. Connection times vary, so use each as a starting point and select an LHR-only connection.
Excellent Business Class value, with a few practical compromises. Around €1,184 for A350 Business Class to Ghana with 2 × 32 kg is very strong. The score stays below 9 because the return reaches Heathrow at 04:50, you need to position to Budapest at the start, and the booking requires careful attention to avoid a London airport change.

Dino hotel guide · Accra
The reference British Airways itinerary arrives in Accra on 29 October 2026 and departs on 7 November, giving you 9 hotel nights. That is longer than most people need for Accra itself, so this fare works very well as a wider Ghana trip — or, with careful planning, as a Ghana + neighbouring-country itinerary.
For Ghana I would prioritise location, recent reviews, air-conditioning, backup power, reliable airport transfer and 24-hour reception over saving a small amount on a remote hotel.
How long should you stay in Accra?
Accra is a large, energetic city, but the main visitor experience does not require all nine nights. I would usually spend 3–4 nights in Accra for neighbourhoods, food, museums, markets and one relaxed coastal day, then use the rest of the trip for Cape Coast / Elmina, the Volta Region or Kumasi.
Best areas to stay in Accra
Accra traffic matters. A hotel that looks close on the map can still mean long travel times at peak hours. For a short stay, location can be worth more than a cheaper room.
Booking.com + Karma + Trivago strategy
Keep the extension active while searching.
Use 29 Oct–7 Nov 2026 and your exact guest count.
Check air-conditioning, breakfast, cancellation, airport transfer and payment terms.
If it finds the same stay cheaper, follow Karma's own redirect.
If Karma finds nothing useful, do one final like-for-like comparison.
For Accra, do not chase the absolute cheapest listing. Recent reviews, generator / backup-power reliability, air-conditioning and transport support are worth paying for.
Where to go next in Ghana
My 9-night split: 4 nights Accra + 3 nights Cape Coast / Elmina + 2 flexible nights for Aburi, Volta or simply a slower finish back in Accra before the evening flight home.
Neighbouring-country add-ons
Lomé · Togo
The easiest neighbouring-country idea from Accra. Lomé gives you a different capital-city feel, markets and a coastal setting.
Check visa requirements and current border conditions before committing to an overland trip.
Cotonou + Ouidah · Benin
Better for a longer extension, often combined after Togo. Ouidah is particularly interesting for history and culture.
Northern Benin has significant security warnings, so keep any leisure itinerary focused on the south unless official advice changes.
Abidjan · Côte d’Ivoire
A strong city add-on if you prefer flying rather than a long overland journey.
Abidjan is much larger and more cosmopolitan than Accra, but check entry rules and local advice before booking.
Border-trip rule: do not assume that a Ghana visa / entry permission covers neighbouring countries. Check visa, yellow-fever certificate and entry requirements separately for every country. Security advice also changes sharply once you move toward northern Togo or northern Benin.
