Buenos Aires
from €475 return
About this deal
A very strong nonstop fare from Madrid to Buenos Aires with Plus Ultra.
The cheapest fares I found were around €475–€480 return through eDreams via Skyscanner, while booking directly with Plus Ultra was consistently around €575 return.
The fare is Turista Ligera and includes 15kg checked baggage. That is lighter than the usual 23kg allowance, but it is still a proper checked suitcase and makes the headline fare much more useful than a cabin-bag-only ticket.
I have used 14–23 May 2027 as the reference itinerary. The basic schedule stays very similar across the prepared dates. During the spring and summer schedule the outbound lands in Buenos Aires at around 06:45; some earlier winter dates show a later clock time because of the seasonal time difference.
Airline: Plus Ultra
Routing: Nonstop both ways
Fare: Turista Ligera
Checked baggage: 15kg included
Plus Ultra direct: around €575 return
Reference flight schedule
Plus Ultra · PU501 · nonstop
Madrid 23:10 → Buenos Aires Ezeiza 06:45+1
Journey time: around 12h35
An overnight departure from Madrid works very well on a route this long: you leave late in the evening and arrive in Buenos Aires first thing the next morning without losing time to a connection.
Plus Ultra · PU502 · nonstop
Buenos Aires Ezeiza 13:25 → Madrid 06:30+1
Journey time: around 12h05
The return is equally simple: an early-afternoon departure from Buenos Aires and arrival in Madrid the following morning, with no airport change or connection to worry about.
Baggage + fare details
At around €475–€480 return, getting Madrid to Buenos Aires nonstop in both directions is what makes this fare stand out. There is no connection to miss and no extra travel time added by a detour.
Watch the 15kg baggage limit. Checked baggage is included, but Turista Ligera only gives you 15kg. If you normally travel with a 20–23kg suitcase, check the cost of adding weight before deciding which fare gives you the best final value.

EZEBuenos AiresBooking options
This is where the lowest fares were showing across the prepared dates. If price is the priority, this is the option to compare first — but always check the final total and fare conditions before payment.
Check the reference fare →Booking directly costs roughly €95–€100 more than the cheapest OTA range. In return, your booking relationship is directly with the operating airline if you need assistance or changes.
Search directly on Plus Ultra →This fare does include checked baggage, but the allowance is 15kg rather than 23kg. If you need a heavier suitcase, add that cost to your comparison before choosing between the OTA and direct-airline options.
Recheck the reference dates →The route keeps a very similar nonstop schedule across the prepared dates. Because Spain and Argentina change clocks at different times of year, the displayed Buenos Aires arrival time can shift by about an hour even when the underlying flight pattern remains the same.
Excellent nonstop value with a very straightforward schedule. Around €475–€480 return for a direct Madrid–Buenos Aires itinerary is extremely competitive. The main compromises are the lighter 15kg checked-bag allowance and a less premium airline product than some of the larger long-haul carriers.

Buenos Aires hotel playbook
Buenos Aires is enormous, so I would choose the neighbourhood first, then compare the final price and transport options. For most first visits I would aim for 4–5 nights in the city, then use the longer prepared dates for somewhere completely different such as Iguazú, Mendoza or Uruguay.
Do not choose a hotel only because the nightly rate looks cheap. Buenos Aires is very spread out, so compare location and final total, then keep Karma switched on while you search.
💰 Dino hotel booking method
Pick the neighbourhood that fits the way you want to spend your evenings, then shortlist well-reviewed hotels.
Leave Karma active while browsing Booking.com so it can compare the same stay in the background.
If Karma finds nothing useful, do one final like-for-like comparison before paying.
⏳ How many nights in Buenos Aires?
Enough for a quick introduction, but you will be rushing between neighbourhoods.
Good for the main sights, one proper tango evening and time in Palermo or Recoleta.
Best balance for a first trip without turning every day into a sightseeing marathon.
Perfect if you want a slower pace or a Tigre / Colonia day trip before continuing.
📍 Best areas to stay in Buenos Aires
My easiest all-round first choice: restaurants, bars, cafés and a lively evening scene.
Elegant, central and convenient for museums, parks and a calmer stay.
Historic atmosphere, markets and character. Great if you want an older Buenos Aires feel.
Useful for central sights and business trips, though evenings can feel quieter than Palermo.
🚀 Where to go next — perfect for the longer dates
Iguazú FallsProbably the most dramatic add-on. Best with 2–3 nights and a short domestic flight.
MendozaIdeal for wine, food and mountain scenery. Give it at least 3 nights if you can.
BarilocheGreat for lakes and Patagonia-style scenery if the trip is long enough for another flight.
CórdobaA different city feel with history, food and easy access to the surrounding sierras.
Colonia del Sacramento, UruguayThe easiest second-country add-on: ferry across the Río de la Plata and stay 1–2 nights.
Montevideo, UruguayA relaxed 2–3 night extension by ferry if you want a slower pace after Buenos Aires.
⚠️ Buenos Aires survival kit
Allow plenty of time for the airport transfer, especially during busy traffic periods.
Buenos Aires runs later than many European cities. Do not be surprised if restaurants are livelier after 21:00.
Cards are widely used, but exchange rates and cash access can change. Check current conditions before travelling.
Keep phones and valuables discreet in crowded areas and use normal caution late at night.
Tango shows, food tours, football experiences, Tigre trips and city walks — browse first, then book only what genuinely improves your trip.
A few useful extras that can make the journey easier, particularly when travelling with restrictive cabin-bag fares, arriving late or needing mobile data as soon as you land.
A useful packing solution when you are trying to fit more clothing
into a restricted cabin bag.
Particularly relevant for travellers using airlines such as
Ryanair and Wizz Air, where baggage dimensions and
additional luggage fees can significantly change the final cost of a
cheap flight.
Compress your clothing and make better use of the space available
inside your luggage.
Arrive with mobile data ready and avoid searching for a local SIM
card or relying on airport Wi-Fi.
