Where to stay in Krakow: very good value in convenient locations
Krakow is one of the best-value city-break destinations in Europe, and the hotel prices help make this deal even more attractive. You do not need to spend a fortune to stay somewhere comfortable, well-reviewed and convenient for sightseeing.
For our sample dates from 15 July to 22 July, we found very well-rated 3-star hotels in convenient locations from around €70 per night. When travelling as a couple, that works out at approximately €35 per person per night, which is excellent value for a proper city stay.
For a Krakow trip, location matters more than luxury. A simple, clean and well-reviewed hotel near the Old Town, Kazimierz, the main train station or good tram connections can make the whole trip easier and cheaper. You will probably spend most of your time outside anyway — exploring the Market Square, Wawel Castle, Kazimierz, cafés, restaurants and day-trip options.
This is why the total trip value is quite strong: even if the flight is only cheap because it includes a small bag, Krakow’s hotel prices can keep the overall holiday cost very reasonable.
Dino tip: check recent reviews carefully, especially for noise, air conditioning, room size and walking distance to the Old Town. In summer, air conditioning can make a big difference, even in a budget-friendly hotel.
