Higher-end hotels in the most popular areas can easily sell for well above £300 per night, and even fairly ordinary properties can look overpriced during peak season. Fortunately, there is still a limited selection of smaller, well-rated establishments that are not luxurious but can be perfectly manageable for a short stay. Our sample pick is Apartamentos Vista al Puerto in San Antonio Bay: an honest, no-frills apartment option rated 8.3/10, with particularly strong staff feedback of 9.2/10.
Apartamentos Vista al Puerto
This is not one of our usual premium hotel recommendations. It is a practical peak-season choice for travellers who would rather spend their money on beaches, restaurants and activities than on an overpriced room.
The property offers simple one-bedroom apartments with air conditioning, a balcony, kitchen facilities and free Wi-Fi. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and bar, while the attached listing places it around 250 metres from Punta Xinxó Beach in San Antonio Bay.
The sample search for 3–7 August 2026 showed approximately £624 for four nights for two adults, including taxes and charges at the displayed Genius member rate. That equals around £156 per apartment per night, or approximately £78 per person per night when travelling as a couple.
